Whenever my co-editor sends me a project file that she's been working on for me to open and edit on myself, for some reason ever since we both updated Premiere, when I export from her project file in Media Encoder, the closed captions won't export in the video, even when I select "burn captions," etc. It only works if I export through Premiere, but then that slows down my workflow a lot. Help!
Hi, I keep getting this when I try to create new encode presets. I ran disk utility and all seemed ok.Any ideas??? Many Thanks!Drew
I have a corporate license to Adobe software. I am using Premiere Pro CC 2015 and After Effects CC 2015. Today, I was having an issue using an MP2 file with Premiere Pro. So I saw something and ran "Updates" hoping it would solve the issue. I don't know what it did but it broke After Effects. When trying to export a lower thirds project, I got the following error: “AEGP Plugin AEDynamicLinkServer: Adobe Media Encoder is not installed. Please download and install it to use this feature. Go to https://creative.adobe.com/apps." which is then followed by AEGP Plugin AEDynamicLinkServer: Failed to connect to Adobe Media Encoder.” I uninstalled After Effects and Premiere Pro and re-installed them both. I still get the same error. I assumed Adobe Media Encoder was installed but when I go look in the same folder where the other Adobe software is (Programs), it's not there. How does Adobe Media Encoder get installed (part of PP or AE)?
I have a video that shows a length of 00:38:15;01 minutes in Premiere Pro. When I export it to Media Encoder it shows a length of 02:38:15;01 in ME. When Media Encoder processes the video ME adds 2 hours of black screen after the content I have created. I deleted Media Cache and allowed PRPro to rebuild it with the same results. I've deleted unused content in Premiere Pro, double checked my sequence settings, and confirmed the Program: window and the Timeline both show a length of 00:38:15;01. I then saved under a new name and tried export to ME again. Again with the same 02:38:15;01 length results. Any ideas?
I have a script that adds files to the AME batch list from a user selected folder. I haven't used the script in a while and when I went to use it today I found the file/folder access is no longer functioning?! The same script works fine on Mac but not on Windows 10. I tried a bunch of different file and folder access methods hoping something might work but they all seem broken. also rolled back to AME 24 which definitely worked in the past but still no joy.It seems that people were having a similar issue with Premiere a while back that was caused by a Windows update. I aslo thought there might be an equivalent preferences setting to "allow scripts to access files" as there is in Ae, but couldn't find anything. I really need this script going again asap... Hoping someone has some intel or workaround. thanks ../JL
I have always edited while I am exporting videos. Now, for some reason, whenever I set something to export in Media Encoder and i go back to premiere, every time I press space to pause or play whatever video im working on, it also does it on Media Enconder. This has stopped me from working on premiere because i keep pausing and starting again my export. Anybody else experiences this?
My Premiere Pro sequence is 2160 x 1215.When I export to Media Encoder, it shows 2160 x 2014.Why is this happening? Premiere Pro Version: 25.0.0 (Build 61)Media Encoder Version: 25.0 (Build 54)MacOS Version: Sonoma 14.6.1Computer: Macbook Pro 2023 M2 Pro Screenshots Attached
I've had this issue for some time - throughout V24 and now V25.If I export a 30 sec sequence file from Premiere as ProRes, it takes seconds. If I send the same sequence to Media Encoder, it takes up to 10 minutes to encode as ProRes.I'm using smart rendering, which as I said works great exporting directly from Premiere. But in Media Encoder it takes forever.I've compared my settings in both ME and Premiere and they're identical.30 second commercial, not a problem exporting from Premiere but I also have 1 hour programs that I wouldlike to be exporting from ME so I can keep working in Premiere.Incidentally, both Premiere and ME encode h264 with no problems. It seems to be ProRes in ME that's the issue.Thoughts? Studio M2 Ultra24 core64 GB RAM
When I queue media from Premiere to Media Encoder, Media Encoder imports the project to the queue BUT redirects the project path to the Temp folder on my C drive. Additionally, the moment Media Encoder imports the file and adds it to the render queue, a new source prproj file is created in the same Temp folder. This new project file is an exact duplicate of my actual project file that I had sent over to Media Encoder. Because of this, not only is my C drive being filled up with excessive, unnecessary prproj files, but my renders in Media Encoder are noticeably slower now because it's sourcing from the wrong drive. There are no settings in either program turned on that would cause this (to my knowledge at least). I do not use watch folders. I do not use dynamic link. I have triple-checked all Cache output settings in both programs, including the project settings and sequence settings in Premiere. Everything is as it should be and, more importantly, how it's been for every
Hello, Media encoder (standalone) applies a lut to EXR files when encoding to MOV. I am colour managing them from other applications and do not want this applied. I want image in > image out. Is this possible?
Hi everyone I work at a film school where we shoot on a mixture of cameras, but mostly ARRI. ARRI Cameras have a wealth of metadata in their original files but it all disappears when trancoding material in Media Encoder (say from ProRes 4444 to ProRes (anything)). Yes there's a metadata option that supposedly preserves all - but it does no such thing. I'm not expecting media encoder to necessarily keep everything (like lens used, shutter angle etc - though that would be great) - but it doen't even keep basic gamma info - like whether it was shot in linear or Log... Perhaps there are new features in the Premiere Pro 2025 / Media Encoder 2025 offerings to this end? Or is there something I'm missing? If not it seem strange with Adobe's apparent desire for more professional colour managment workflows within Premiere that this is a bit of a gaping gap. Any pointers gratefully received (adding metadata manually file by file or afterwards is unfortunately not feasible) Tha

Hi.I'm trying to render out a batch of files from AME, but they keep getting stuck at 100%, and never finishing.AME creates 3 files, a video file, an audio file and the container, but never merges them into one complete file.Everything seems to render normally if l render directly from Premiere Pro, but as l have a ton of files l need to render out for archiving l'd love to be able to queue it up..My render settings are:- H.264/mp4- Video: 1920x1080 (1,0), 25 fps, Progressive - Audio: AAC, 160 kbps, 48 kHz, Stereo - Bitrate: VBR, 2 pass, Target 10.00 Mbps, Max 12.00 Mbps - The source was deinterlacedSource files are P2 media; DVCPRO HD.I am rendering on:iMac 21,5" late 2012OS X 10.8.5CPU: Intel i7 - 3,1GHZ Quad CoreGPU: Nvidia GeForce GT650M 512MBHD: 251GB SSD / 100 GB free. Merci,Eros.
Recently installed all updates my subscribed apps and they are all terrible. Take ages to load and appear to have been completelky recoded so really hard to impossible to use. Anyone else having similar problems?
Hello, suddenly, during this month, we've found Media Encoder that doubled rendering times.Same video, same timeline... before summer we've completed rendering in halt time. The only difference that I can see is the GPU: actually not working at 100% (variable from ~30/60%), but before summer we can always see 100% constantly. There was released some updates that has modified something in Media Encoder? My PC:HP Z2 Mini G9 Mini PC Workstation i7-13700 2.1GHz RAM 32GB-SSD 1TB NVMe TLC + NVIDIA Quadro T400 4GB + Adobe Media Encoder v.25.0 build 54 Thanks!
Since I updated to the newest version of After Effects and Media encoder, AE won't send files to Media encoder anymore. I'm working on a windows pc. So whenever I'm trying to export a video from after effects via media encoder it won't work (same for Premiere pro). I tried dragging it into media encoder, opening the project in media encoder it self. The problem when it's finally in media encoder is that it won't connect to the project anymore. Sometimes it works whenever I change the output from H264 to something else and back. Then it starts connecting, this is a work around that has like 25% succes rate. Most of the times it worked was when I made a new project in AE25 and not converting an old file from 24. I also tried exporting it via Media encoder on antoher pc, but with no succes. It has the same problem. Is there anyway I can fix this? I have tried multiple solutions I found on the Internet / Adobe website but with no succes. The only thing worki

I am hoping to use Media Encoder to run watch folders with the pupose of standardizing all content to MXF or other similar format. Currently the "Captions" tab on export settings has all options greyed out. Have tried changing the export preset with no luck.I found an older post about a similar issue and an Adobe employee referenced (Beta) 23.5.0.16 had a fix, but that is no longer available for download. So far I have tried 25.0 and 23.6.8, same issue on both. Does anyone have a known good version or tested workflow for this? Thanks!
Hey guys, I've been editing 4K (Sony A7SIII) Footage on my 3rd gen i5 and gtx 1060 3GB. It's not as bad as many of you will think haha. Anyways, today I encountered with the problem I edited videowith simple transitions and few segments where i used 4K assets from Acidbite such as (dust, scratches and 16mm gate overlay). Render was looking fine when system was balanced with around 60% CPU and 20% GPU, when render passed the "difficult" segment it became faster, because other than that whole video is just zoom in and zoom outs with sound effects. so since it became faster after that heavy segment i thought it would finish in hour or so and after some time im seeing this(image provided) this type of segment where there is nothing going on just clips laying around and have little zoom in & outs never had problem before.Does any of you have idea what can i do in this situation?!Premiere pro vers. 23.1.0 (build 86)Encoder vers. 23.0.1 (build 1)CPU - Intel(R) Core(TM
