Question

How to use vfx to look like I fell off a building

It's all in the title, really. I want a shot of me flipping backwards over a railing and off a building. The problem is, the short-film I'm making is fairly low-budget and I don't think it's enough to cover hospital bills. I have access to the building in question, and the railing that I want to flip over, the problem is, how? Do I green screen myself in, do I find some way of making a dummy, or do I just do it entirely with vfx? Please help. Thanks in advance.

Mylenium mentioned that there are numerous methods available to achieve this. However, I strongly advise you to explore Video Copilot's website. You can derive significant benefits from their video tutorials, such as the one provided in this link: https://www.videocopilot.net/tutorials/3d_ledge/

Such stuff is usually simply built as a stage where people only fall a few feet on soft mats. Otherwise of course it could be rebuild entirely in 3D using projection mapping and an animated model with some "invisible" transitions. Really depends on your skills and what tools you have.
