Hi, when i try to use the warp effect qnd i choose the bulge and vertical option, it behave different from the tutorials i saw, it has to just warp the left and righ side of the shape but it my AE it moves the whole shape! Is this a common issue? How can i fix this? I'll post pictures from it if it is not common.Thank you for helping 🥹

I'd like to zoom in (not animate zooming -- with the zoom tool) at, say, 150%. Not 100%. Not 200%. I'd like to type this somewhere. Clicking with the zoom tool, using the mouse wheel, or using the menu, I'm stuck with the same choices.

Whenever any sort of mosaic effect (s_mosaic and bcc mosaic) is used on any video format in timeline, it crashes after effects, It does this in both '23 and '24 versions. NOT only does it crash it, but when I remove the effect from the project altogether and continue editing, about 5-7 minutes in the project crashes with no report or anything and I am forced to terminate the program as if the file is now corrupted and all my work is gone.  I enabled logging in help since no log file was being created in the roaming path.  Here is a link to the log file created: log .

Hi,I'm quite new to AE.I apologise in advance as I'm not familiar with all the terminology as yet, although very familiar with PS/LR and Apple media programs.I have taken a couple of AE beginners courses and all went well. I'm making my own project  and have used the Roto brush. The first time it worked easily, I was able to make a video that is about a minute long and sucessfully export it via Media Encoder. However, I wasn't happy with it so I tried to re-do the Rotobrush part of the project which I wanted to export and then add into the original project as a finished .mp4. However, I cannot get AE to stop propagating, even though I havn't added any further refinements after the first frame. I took a chance and I did try to export it, it started well but then stopped.I've spoken to Abobe support who checked my system and said it's sufficient and should run the program (they sent me a tutorial but it was the same info as the one I'd watched on th Adobe site ) I then I spoke to Ap

Hello I am trying to create a basic butterfly wing animation (top down. And I just want to add an expression to make the left wing rotate in the opposite direction.  and the shadows to basically do the same. I am currently using the following expression. When I make a 3d camera layer or a null layer and try to make it 3d it shows the axis instead of the 3d cube and it is not working like a 3d layer. How can I fix this?

i am having trouble positioning the camera through my scene. i have set up a 3d maP with a bunch of landmarks on it (all in 3d) and I want to fly though the scene.I am having a huge amount of trouble with using the camera controls and I can’t find any good video tutorials on specifically how to use the camera control tools.Also, my two-node camera is not rotating around the point of interest like it should. I have checked all my settings and restarted it but it still won’t stick the point of interest in place like it should. I have tried one-node camera and it’s not that wither.Any helpful links would be gratefully receivedThanks

I'm trying to find out how to get missing files installed.  I downloaded an editing plugin pack with many effects but a few missing effects are needed.   Where can I get these without paying multiple subscriptions?  

Hello, I was hoping someone could share their experience with exporting a video created in After Effects and then being exported in Media Encoder as a transparent MP4 video instead of MOV. Unfortunately, the MOV video is not loading. I have tried multiple media players with no success. If anyone has any information or another alternative regarding my inquiry, please let me know. I have a comp that has lower third elements that update just fine in another comp using the Essential Graphics panel to manipulate the Essential Properties. The minute I use the Essential Properties panel to edit on of the text properties (instead of the Essential Graphics panel) it breaks the animation.  The size changes, the alignment shifts, the expressions I'm using to match certain properties stop matching, etc. I assumed it was a bug in my comp and did WAY too much troubleshooting before I realized it was a software bug. If I undo the edit in the Properties Panel is goes back to working properly and I can make the update in the Essential Properties panel.  I'm also just noticing that ANY change I make in the Properties panel breaks the link between the two panels and the Essential Properties panel stops updating.  If I only make updates in the EP panel, the PP continues to show the changes, but any edits in PP causes errors and the EP no longer updat

In after effect crashpad handler and dynamic link in after effect dynamiclink and crashpad handler to stop after effect from openning and these two dynamiclink and crashpad handler opening multiple times when i stop every file of these then aftereffect open but it start not responding i deleted plugins and scripts it not work what should i do then i deleted the files with these Dynamiclink and crashpadhandler which opening multipletimes when i open the after effects and now after effect open but i cannot use tracker in after effect like track camera tell me a fix to solve this

I have the Cinema 4D add-on installed. I see it in the drop down menu, but even when I click on it, the menu just closes and the renderer is still Classic 3D.If I hover over the menu, I can even mouse-wheel it to change to Cinema 4D, but after half a second it just switches back to Classic. Pretty maddening stuff, as I need C4D right now. I even tried hitting enter immediately after mouse-wheeling it, but it didn't take.

Hi Guys, I just want to check this is the 'normal' and optimal way of exporting for my project. I edited my project in fcpx and exported in apple pro res 422, I then took that file into AE and created some text tracking, exported in h.264 for finished project. I guess my question is, should I be exporting my fcpx project in an uncompressed format or will I not notice a difference in quality? (the finished versions quality looks good, this is more feedback to see if I could do things better next time round)

I'm having a bit of a pixelation problem with two assets I'm using in my animation. I created them as vectors in Affinity Designer and exported them as pdfs, and they seem fine when I open them up separately. But when I loaded them into After Effects and scaled them down, they becane very pixelated. I have no idea what causes this, the resoltion isn't that bad (1920x1080). But they're just as pixelated as the assets i created in Photoshop.Anyone know what I could do to fix this? 

Hello Adobe Affter Effects Forum!I'm working with .glb files.I have imported them into a comp. I want to change the tint so I procomp the .glb file and add a adjustment layer with a tritone effect. I make a duplicate of that com and change the color in the tritone effectNow I have two comps with the same .glb file and adjustment layers with two different colors applied.In the main comp I tick "collaspe transformation" on both comps in order to have the two .glb files be 3D, but the top comp with one color overrides the bottom com with a differnt color in the tritone effect.Is there a way have "collaspe transformation" be turned on and retain the 3D of the procomposed .glb files and not have the top comp effect the below comps? Is this possible?If only .glb files could have effects applied to them, this woudnt be a problem.Thank you!

i have downloaded the rsmb, mbl, sapphire and universe plugins but i keep getting this warning. i can't use the plugins. does anyone kow what should i do?

I am working on a project where an image has to wiggle, starting off slow and eventually ramping up to be faster. However, instead of gradually increasing in speed, the wiggle becomes very fast right after the first keyframe and only returns to the required speed after the second. Between these 2 keyframes, the speed is higher than it should be for either. There is no issue in the graph editor, no issue with the framerate or composition settings, and no other effects present that might conflict with it. I've created a new project and tried replicating the effect on a shape, and got the same result.  After Effects version: 24.4.1OS: Windows 11

Hello! I am learning about expressions and have created an offsetted chain of shape layers that is linked to a sinwave expression.  I am curious what the best method to update the shape layers with new sources would be? I have tried precomposing the shape layer and copying the expressions back after they've moved into the precomp but that doesn't seem to work. Any thoughts on this? Thanks!

AFTER EFFECTS - Shift Key to rezise? (Does not work for me) HelloI am learning After Effects in the new AE version.....my training course is about 2 yrs old.But the course person instructs me (in Mac) - to resize my image by using SHIFT / DRAG a corner anchor....... It does not happen and the image just stays static - I can use OPTION - but it does not constrain the proporions that way. Does anyone know how to sort this?I could go by the timeline area to do this - but think this approach is quicker (above). Hope someone could advise me please thanks: Daryl
