I've often had the issue lately that After Effects projects will get stuck when opening. The blue progress bar is always stuck at 97% or 99% when opening. Sometimes after an hour it's still stuck at 99%, even though they aren't complicated projects.  It's very random though. Sometimes they do open, sometimes they don't.One thing I did notice is that all these files are in Dropbox, and when I drag the folder to my desktop I have no issues opening these files. My colleagues can open these exact same After Effect project files in their Dropbox though. Anyone know how to fix this? 

Kind of tricky to explain. But the gyst is that I have a drone shot that gets wider as it pulls away. And in that shot I need a scoreboard light to flash on for 2-3 seconds, then flash off. What would be the best way to go about doing this?

Hello Adobe Community, I'm encountering an issue with Adobe After Effects when working with imported AI (Adobe Illustrator) files. Even after importing the AI file as a composition, I'm having difficulty accessing the individual vector path properties of the layers within After Effects.As far as I understand, AI layers are treated as vectors by default in After Effects. But I am not able to see 'path' property until I convet it into shape in after effects. This means AE is treating imported AI files as raster images?Thank you!

Well i dont know whats wrong with my after effects2021 or its about my mid-low spec laptop but whenever i upload avatar the last airbender clip which is mov eventho vector quality is pretty nice in my "movies" app or litteraly any video player before i import ae right after importing  vectors are getting cracked/pixelated(especially when they talk) its original one in my player⬇️  and this one in after effects (doesnt matter if i delete adjustment layers or anything it looks this way always)⬇️  Just zoom to girls mouth in both photos...PREVIEW AND COMP SET TO FULL. Quality and sample is in "line" one6gb ram with athlon gold (render takes around 10-15 min for 30sec clip i dont really add lots of adj layers tho) if someone could help me i would be greateful🫶🏽🙌

Hi All. I have a problem with an animator. I am trying to change the expression of one of the properties via scripting, and I get the error: "Can not “set expression” with this property, because the property or a parent property is hidden."However, the animator was made by script and I could apply an expression at the time that I made it. If I make a new one, I also can change it.Is there anything I could do to make the animator not be "hidden" anymore? I am not even sure what this "hidden" is.

im using windows on adobe after effect, using a keyboard shortcut; page up and down isn't working for me, i don't understand why, if there is way to use this shortcut where can i find it on after effects

After I create a 3D Camera Tracker Solve I get no bullseyes target, but I can see all the tracker points. When I right click to create the "Create Text and Camera" I also get nothing no Text or Text field. I've been following several tutorials to the "T" and I still get nothing. What's strange is this was working fine last month when I was using the Creative Cloud trail free for 30 days. On further trail and error I noticed something very, very weird. I noticed after I made the "Text and Camera" there was a  red pixel blinking within the triangulation of the 3 points. I zoomed in all the way to 1600% into the red blinking pixel and noticed it was the Text field's Cursor. When I inspect the Text layer's "Scale" it stated that the Text is already sized at 3000. WTF? Even zoomed in at 1600% it's only the size of my pinky finger nail. If I enter a ridiculous Size amount such as 1,000,000 I can finally see it on the screen and to top it off the 3D orientation is totally off from the pl

Hi. I'm a beginner AE user, so forgive me if I ask about obvious things. My AE version 24.1 (Windows) crashes every time I try to open a file from Illustrator (about 2GB). I'm not sure if it's due to the file size or any other factors. So far, I've reset preferences, cleared the cache, and saved the AI file with different options. Unfortunately, without success. Does anyone have similar experiences and any advice?

In this simple script, I'm adding a Gaussian blur to a layer with a value of 1. But my question is, can you add an effect to a layer but hide the effect controls via scripting? Al momento de crear una composición, agregar audio y unas pocas figuras, el programa no permite realizar más interacciones con estas figuras ni escuchar el audio, además de no reproducir lo que ya se ha hecho. Tampoco permite exportar.

I'm getting the low memory warning in the Beta 24.4.0 Build 24.  Getting it in Ae 24.2.1.  Getting it in Ae 23 versions too.  I would revert to Ae 22 but it's not available for download. Almost impossible to work with. I am now getting a system warning saying... "Your system has run out of application memory" I've created fresh projects in Ae 24.2.1 with no luck. I have no 3rd party plug-ins installed. My projects are nothing I haven't done before.  Nothing crazy. 1920 x 1080 at 24fps.  I'm just posting this to let Adobe know that the fixes they have implemented are not working for everyone.  iMac M3 - 24 RAM - 1TB Hard drive.  Not running any Adobe apps other than Creative Cloud app.

Hello, I think this is a bug that really needs sorting as it's been happening for about half a year now. Not always, but most of the time, when I'm using an After Effects file in Premiere the connection keeps getting lost, and a bar will appear mid-way through the After Effects track as though the file needs relinking. In my program monitor I'm seeing the red "Media Offline" image. It's hit or miss whether relinking works or not, but even when it does the media offline warning reappears 2 minutes later. This is really making all of my projects so difficult. I have to resort to exporting After Effects files for Premiere which comes with its own issues. Robbie

Hello, I am adding a 3D capable Round shape. I rotate this shape full circle on the y axis for 4 seconds. However, when returning to this shape, instead of rotating steadily, its position shifts to the left. When I examine the position values, everything is normal. Nothing changes except the Y value, but the shape shifts to the left. Cinema 4d feature is active

I'm in the latest AE CC (Windows 10). The last two comps I created, for some reason, I cannot add them to the timeline of certain comps, I get a 'not able' icon, the same happens if I tried to add it to the Viewer window. The thing is that I can add these comps to some other comps. And I can add other comps to first ones. It makes no sense. I tried changing the comps names, cleared the cache, restarted IE and Windows and nothing works. I did have a Memory leak problem error earlier today, so don't know if it makes any difference.Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, im a new user of after effects and i havent figure out all of the tools on it. i use after effects 2021. Could someone please help me because after precomposing, few of my clips glitched out of nowhere. But i made another video with the same clip, they were fine. Ive tried changing the fps a few times but it doesnt change anything. Is it a motion blur problem or frame blending problem? 

Ich brauche dringend Hilfe bei meiner AE-File:Aktuell schneide ich ein umfangreiches Urlaubsvideo für die Family und habe dort diverse Assets reingeladen: GoPro 4K & HD Aufnahmen, Bilder, Handyaufnahmen etc. Ich wollte nun nachträglich die Komposition verlängern auf 25:30 Minuten und bekomme seitdem den Fehler "(17 § 19) After Effects Fehler: Überlauf Verhältnisnenner werden konvertiert."  Seitdem sind einige Ebenen nichtmehr angezeigt, wenn ich das Projekt starte werden auch keine Zeiten mehr angezeigt, nur wenn ich rauszoome erscheinen diese, auch wenn ich sie noch editieren kann, klicke ich auf Elemente doppelt um in die Unterkompoisition zu kommen, ist diese File Weiß. Eine alte Version nutzen geht nicht, da es dann sagt dass Files mit neuer Verison nicht mit alter Version geöffnet werden können. Sobald ich Dinge wie die Framerate anpasse kommt der Fehler und After Effetcs stürzt dann ab.Hier die technischen Daten:- Apple iMac M3, Sonoma, 24 GB- After Effect
