Hey everyone, I have this problem, I have imported an illustrator file on AE.I'm trying to convert the layers into a mask, but I can't. I can only convert them into a shape layer, and when I'm trying from a shape layer, I have a rectangle around my shape, but not actually the shape itself. How can I fix this, please? 

So my AE crashed and it stated "the crash seemed to happen because of the keylight (1.2) effect Would I like to disable this effect? I can renabled this effect later." in which I figured ill disable it until my project was done. It now tells me its missing and I cant find anybody talking about this or anyway to reinstall this effect. Anyone by chance able to help?

For the last 2 months, I have been getting this error occasionally when I try to save or render files in After Effects. I wanted to make a audio spectrium template using AE so i can use it in premier pro, but so far the only problem i have is that i cannot drag the audio layer (located under audio spectrum) in the essential graphics box because it is not supported yet, so my question is does anyone know how i can go around this mabye use something else instead of the audio layer to make this work in permier pro? 

Hi. I've made an "write on" animation using thicc plug-in. I want to use it as an intro for my videos. After rendering and exporting file to another editing program (like capcut or davinchi resolve), a dark-gray outline appears. But if I import it into Premiere Pro, it seems to working fine. Are there any solutions to avoid this artefact outline? Thank you. 

Hi,My problem:I am making an animation for my internship program with the DUIK Plugin. This requires for me to have different layers in Photoshop for example the forearm, shoulder, toes etc. All these paths are in different layers. The file size is a normal A4. I can not give screenshots seeing as this is a project not meant to be seen yet.This file needs to be imported into After Effects. Every layer needs to have the same size as it is seen plus the anchor point needs to be in the middle of the object itself. Problem is, it imports and the layer is the same size as the composition, not the layer itself, plus the anchor point is in the center of the composition. This makes it almost impossible to animate.Funny thing is, only today has this been happening to me. Two days ago everything worked perfectly.I have searched this forum and I have come across the possible solution of my problem. This was to say: "Retain layer size" when importing. Hello I want to achieve some sort of whiteboard animation. First I draw the lines with trim paths and then later I fill the areas with different colors.  The "filling" with colors should look like as someone is coloring them with a digital pencil. Its a line that is "drawn" by the trim path function and I use a mask to make the edges look sharp. (see attached file.) Is there a possibility to change the colors of the whole shape into different areas?For example from this: to this:  The idea is that all the different colors are drawn at the same time. But each field or shape gets colored differently. Is this possible with masks somehow? I didnt find anything on google or youtube.  Thanks for any help. 

I get the following error(s) everytime I render my project...  After Effects warning: Could not open the file 'F:\AE\Adobe\After Effects\22.0\Disk Cache - USERNAME.noindex\9c\9c68e7c7-378e-c09c-69ce-e77dd9536bde.ADBE ICV.B300E02.AAAAAI8AmAA=.aecache'. I get sometimes 8 or even 20 lines of this pointing to different .aecache files.I still get my .Mov file at the end without visible errors but the long strings of errors sometimes crashes AE during a render. I have tried:Changing the permissions on the scratch disk.Using a different scratch disk.Baking all expressions to keyframes The scratch disk is a seperate, fast ssd card from the application and job folders. This has been happening for about a month I update software and OS as they come... PC specs are:Ryzen 3900x, 64gb ram, 3 nvme drives (1 for OS+apps, 1 for working files, 1 for cache), twin rtx 2070 supers.I've updated all chipset, OS, graphics, Software to the latest this morning and no change.

My After Effects is crashing after I aded an adone named GeoTracker to composition. I tryed to start AE in safe mode, degrade the graphic and reinstall the adone. Nothing helps, the error remains. Please help.     Title edited by Mod.

Hi there, I'm animating a circle using the radial wipe effect. When I apply the effect to the layer, the center point of the wipe effect is different from the anchor point of the circle (I need the center point of the wipe effect to be centered with the circle). Can anyone tell me how to do this? Thanks!

MY after effects crashes just as I open it and it then generates a crash report on to my desktop, ive tried reinstalling it a hundred times and also tried updating and enabling my gpu but nothing seems to work

Hello, I just bought After Effects but at the time of payment the money was debited from my card but the program appears as if I had not purchased it, giving me the purchase option again but it won't let me download it. Every time I open up AE I get a warning that a certain plugin has failed to load.  The error reads as follows After Effects warning: The following plugins have failed to load.  Please reinstall these plugins:C:\Program File\Adobe\Adobe After Effects 2024\Support Files\(Media Core Plugins)\Common\TransmitDV.prm This warning has not interrupted or dampened my workflow in anyway, I just get this messaged whenever I open up AE, and I'd like to figure what's going on so I can take care of it before it becomes a bigger problem.   I have a feeling that it's got something to do with the dynamic link between Premiere and After Effects, because when I follow that file path the error gives me, the specific plugin file says it's actually a Premiere Pro Plugin.   any and all help would be greatly appreciated, thanks! System Specs:OS: Windows 10Processor: Intel i7 - 10750 CPU @ 2.60GHzGraphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SuperRAM: 32

I'm creating render slaves, and I have .aom files that I've exported from my licensed version of AE that I'd like to be usable for the render slaves without engaging the UI, as they are ae_render_only_node.txt clients.Where should I put the templates so that they are discoverable by After Effects CC 2017 (latest)?The command line I'm using would look like this:aerender.exe -project "[project path]" -comp "[Compname]" -OMtemplate "***path to aom file??***" -output "[output path]\[#####].png" -s [startFrame] -e [endFrame]The .aom file would be the exported custom template I made within AE.Any suggestions?

Why is there always an audio panel or propertie panel opening in my after effects interface? That's f*cking annoying... WHY is after effect opening panels without me wanting it? It mess up in my interface, organisation and workflow,... is that once again a "new" feature? Pleeeaaase Adobe, STOP macking changes in our work routine WITHOUT ASKING! Every two week I've to go search the internet to get my interface or tools, or plugins, and so back to normal... Is'nt there any feed back or listenign of the everyday users to all those nonsense so called upgrades???? So if someone knows WHY (the f¨ck) is that happening and HOW to STOP this... I am trying to combine two clips with camera movement, one with greenscreen-elements removed, one without.  If you saw any of the behind-the-scenes work of how they shot 2020's Invisible Man, you have an idea of what I'm trying to accomplish.  In that movie, they had an expensive robot camera that could perfectly replicate camera movement across multiple takes.  One take would have greenscreen-suit guy doing something, one would just be the background. I've tried doing this with a programmable gimbal.  The problem is that while multiple takes are close, they aren't exactly the same.  And if you mask something from the top clip, you can definitely tell that the bottom clip doesn't perfectly line up.  I guess a thousand-dollar gimbal just isn't capable of the same level of precision as a million-dollar robot camera. So it occurred to me: is there a way to use After Effects to perfectly synchronize the two clips?  Then I could remove the greens
