Hi community.  I have used the repeater to animate lines in a circular direction. The issue Im facing is getting an even number of rotation for the lines. Is it even correct in AE using decimals to achieve accurate rotation and positioning? for example, 34.3, or 34.5 etc etc. Or for multimedia online graphics the pixels must always default to a rounded off number, example: 34. 35, 56, etc etc.   

Hi,I have bought a new PC and installed After Effects 2025 on it, but the problem is that when I make any changes that need preview, the preview window starts blinking. sorry this is the best way I can describe it. when i add the effect Deep Glow, i get the error message D returned invalid from max_result_rect pf_cmd_smart_pre_render.i have searched the internet for a solution and none of them work. disabling other effects, adding color balance (hsl), clearing the disk cache. none of it worked.i only applied the effect to one layer at the start of the project, but it wont let me preview the project at any time stamp.after searching for a solution, i have found that other people are getting this issue, but with other effects. so this must mean that theres no issue with the plugin.

Can anyone explain why a small company like Blackmagic have full support for 5000 series GPUs, and Adobe take months and months to optimise or support the cards? We have to buy new machines and they are now shipping with 5000 series cards. The performance in AE and Premiere are shocking...

When copying and pasting keyframes in After Effects, for some layers the pasted keyframes appear stretched or out of sync with the original timing. Steps to reproduce the bug:Create an animation with keyframes on a layer.Select the keyframes and copy them (Ctrl+C).Move the playhead to a new position on the timeline, select a different layer, and paste the keyframes (Ctrl+V).Observe that the pasted keyframes are stretched or spaced differently from the original keyframes. Expected result:The pasted keyframes should retain the exact timing and spacing as the original keyframes.Actual result:The keyframes are stretched, altering the animation timing. Additional information:The issue only occurs on some compositions.The issue only occurs when copying keyframes from one layer to another. System details:After Effects version: 24.6.1 (Build 2)Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 22H2Hardware: AMD Ryzen 3 3200G with Radeon Vega Graphics 3.60 GHz, 16.0 GB (13.9 GB

my pc configuration is amd ryzen 5 4600g, I don't have a video card, 16 gigabytes of ddr4 ram, 1tb of storage.   My after effects freezes when I open the graph editor in a precomp. 

Hi, I'm hoping someone can solve this issue I'm having.  Example scene attached but here is a breakdown: I have a circle shape (3D layer) with a wiggle expression on the x and y position. It's parented to my camera which is animated tracking forward through z-space.Parented to this is a null which I am emmitiing from. The emitter is a point based emitter emiiting continously with zero particle velocity, effectively emitting a single stream of particles producing a 3d stroke effect over time.  The trouble I'm having is the line is broken, kinda like a dashed stroke. Nothing I do seems to fix it. If i pause on a frame where the "dashes" are visible and adjust the random seed or emitter count 9or any attrbute for that matter) then they disappear but as soon as I playback they reappear elsewhere. Any ideas or suggestions welcome.

I routinely copy clips from my Premiere timeline and paste them into my After Effects compositions. AE usually accepts them and all the effects keyframes, etc., intact so they appear just as they did in Premiere. But, now, for some reason I can’t figure out, AE won’t allow me to paste the clips into my composition at all. Note that I am using the same AE project file I have previously pasted clips into before. What is happening? Is there some setting that I accidentally changed?

Hello!With the newest update for After Effects, I encounter that when opening any project that has either a missing font, file or effect searching for the content missing in the project search bar, ends up with no results. Searching the word missing as a stand alone, also finds no results despite having missing content within the project. If anyone could provide any helpful information or insight that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hello.I'm having a hard time dealing with this new Preview in AE. A lot of times it is not giving me a real-time playback. It is nice to have the preview continuously playing while making some changes on the comp, but sometimes I would like to have a real-time preview, like the old RAM preview.Is it possible to generate a real-time RAM preview? I don't mind waiting for AE to render before playing back the animation.I have tried the Numpad 0 and also spacebar. Hi everyone, I'm an editor currently working with an Indonesian-based app company called boothcool.net. We're handling a promo video for their app where we need to showcase multiple features in a clean, modern animated style. The client specifically asked for Lottie compatibility, so the final output needs to be exported via Bodymovin for integration into their app. While working on the animation in After Effects, everything looks and previews fine inside AE. However, the issue starts when I try to use layer styles (like Drop Shadow or Gradient Overlay) on precomposed shape layers. As soon as I enable any layer style on a precomp that includes vector shapes or shape animations, After Effects either lags extremely or instantly crashes especially when I enable motion blur or collapse transformations. I tested this on two different systems and both behave the same. Removing the layer style fixes it instantly, but of course, we lose the look the client wants. I’ve tried all usual

hello, I have added the bcc ripple effect to my image and there is no issues regarding the download of this effect because it is being added to my clip. But for some reason, the effect is not working.Could I please have some assistance? I have ae 2020. Thanks 🙂 

 Hello, I have been driving myself crazy for hours trying to match the color space of my footage in premiere pro with the color space of the footage in After Effects. This is an issue because when I try to use a dynamic link for editing, the footage that is replaced is vastly different colorwise. I have tried switching both to Rec. 709 but After Effects has Rec. 709 PQ and not simply Rec. 709 (which still gives me different colors than in premiere pro unfortunately). If someone knows a solution I will be so thankful!

I'd love to see functionality added to be able to edit the composition settings of multiple compositions at the same time. Example of functionality:- Select multiple compositions- Right click and select composition settings- Any settings that are shared across compositions are visible- Any settings that are different between compositions show a '-', but can still be edited- Once adjustments are made, any settings that weren't adjusted remain as is to ensure that any differences between compositions are still honoured.  Real-life use case:I have 30 compositions set up for social 'feed' posts at 1080x1080.I need to now do 'story' versions of all of these compositions at 1080x1920.Currently, I have to manually edit the specs of each composition one at a time.

Visually, the precomp doesn’t align in Z-depth with the text, even though both have the same position values.In the Top view(Right) it seems to be behind, but in the Active Camera view, it appears in front. It's like the Z position is being interpreted differently between the precomp and the main comp.Thanks in advance 🙏

Hi folks,I'm working with the font "Mojito" from Adobe Fonts. It appears just fine in Illustrator and on the adobe fonts website. However, it changes appearance in After Effects (notice e & o).  I've reset AE preferences and none of the faux text options are switched on. What can I do to solve this?  

Hi all,I'm trying to import a psd file as a composition and AE keeps loading a different file from the same folder - I tried saving my file with a new name in a different folder and AE just picked a different wrong file to load. I'm not sure if I'm being clear. AE loads/creates a new composition with the correct file name, I have the same file open in PS just to confirm, but the contents of the file, i.e., the layers, are from a different PSD file that I've got saved in that same folder.Any idea why this is happening and how I can stop it?Thanks!

Hi there, my current issue is that when I export after effects files over to media encoder to be processed to mp4 files it would not load. Above is a sample of a single part being rendered and stuck at 1.12 minutes for over 5 hours. Most of my other AE files do not do this and only this file has this issue.  For reference, these are my specs1920X1080 P 60FPSH.264 or Quicktime (apple pro res 422)Plug-ins used (vc orb)License is school license as this is provided by them for intern use, coms specs (in case someone says my com is bad)pc- 64gb ram, ryzen 5 5600x and rtx 3080)Laptop- (16gb ram, intel i7-7700k and gtx 1050) Both platforms experience the same issue and I have been troubleshooting for a while. If anyone knows how to troubleshoot this pls help!   

Hello guys,I recently started a new project and i have to use a lot of spotlights, but my problem is, when i have more than 8 spotlights, the last one (lowest) in my timeline doesn't work. I don't notice anything if I turn it off or on. Please help me.

I have an AE file with a bunch of missing links... is there a way to view what the filepath is currently set as like I can with InDesign?   I know I can replace links, but it would be helpful to know where AE is trying to pull the links from in the first place
