Hey all, first off, is anyone else experiencing this issue, and, second, can anyone reproduce it if they haven't tried exporting PNGs yet? Ever since updating to Ae 22.1.1, I can't export single PNGs or PNG sequences anymore. If I revert back to 22.0.1, everything works fine again. Update to 22.1.1 and it breaks. Revert to 22.0.1 and it works. I can do this multiple times on four different machines and it breaks/works every. single. time.Since I can reproduce this issue, repeatedly on multiple machines, I can only assume that 22.1.1 has a PNG bug that needs to be addressed. If anyone else can confirm (or tell me the fix besides reverting back and waiting for the next version) I would appreciate it. I've attached the three errors that pop up, in order, and all of them pop up on all four machines, on any Ae project file, that we try to export PNGs from.Thanks!

Hello! I’d say that I’m extremely inexperienced in After Effects, but I’ve been playing around a lot with .mogrt creation and expressions and I’ve run into a problem that has stumped me at every turn. I’m trying to create a .mogrt file that contains:2 separate text boxes (both left justified, stacked one on top of the other) with different fonts and font sizes.1 autoscaling shape (box) that holds both text boxes.1 image pinned to the bottom right corner of the autoscaling shape. Here are the current problems I can’t seem to figure out:I am unable to get the image to move horizontally with the autoscaling box (it moves vertically just fine).I am unable to get the two text boxes to stay stacked when both are empty; furthermore, the bottom box cuts into the top one when there is text in them.The autoscaling shape does not recognize the second text box when changing size. In basic terms, I can’t figure out how to keep the two text boxes in their own spaces and have the

Dear people,There's a question and I hope someone got the awnser.There's a illustration project with more than one layer, so we made a precompose. We want to change the opacity of this precompose for a nice fade-out BUT when we do this, one of the layers is visible through the other ones. We thought it should be allright since it's a precompose so all the layers should fade out at the same timing? I mean there are many project where you don't want something like this to happen.I do understand that changing the opacity of elements even though it is a precompose means that all the elements get clearer and you see through them. BUT how can you change the opacity of more then one layers without being able to see some layers through the other ones?

As you can see there are many dots in the path. But two big dots which provide handles. Which I can drag to adjust the path. These dots are invisible. How can I made it visible? Even made it 15 pixels does not help.       Title edited by Mod.

Hi everyone! I'm kind of a self-learner in AE and I know I'm missing some basic points. After some researchs I couldn't find an answer to this (sorry, maybe I don't have the right keywords, I'm a french speaker) but I'm sure there's a way. Here's the thing: -On a plate layer, I have a mask that I tracked upon main layer.-But after applying this tracking to the mask path, I'd like to adjust the mask position (on all the keypoints at once) without re-doing the tracking. So what I'd think first is to add a Null Object which would contain the position adjustment, then link the MASK PATH only (not the whole plate layer) as child to the Null Object.-Of course, as shown on the screenshot, the expression is not correct, but I couldn't find precisely how to adapt the expression to the situation. Would you have a remedy for this? (Sorry my AE is in French too!)Thanks in advance. 

Hello all! I'm working on a long-form, 25-minute video and would like the opinion of the community experts on the best way to send everything to After Effects.For context, here is a quick glimpse of my workflow: 1.- I set everything up for the video like the host talking to the camera, images, and a lot of Broll. 2.- Then after all the footage, especially the broll, is approved, I move to the next stage which is animations. 3.- After that I render a lossless .mov to have everything back to premiere for the final stage: SFX.  I need to move everything on Ae: every broll piece, placeholder, and such because I add text animators, video infographics, and such to almost every clip. I even add transitions there because I'm already doing animations. I'm curious about the Adobe recommended way to do it: -Should I just select everything and shoot it right to Ae without thinking too much about it? Hi All,I'm trying to remove a tower from a drone shot of a model house. I used the regular content-aware fill to remove the tower from the scene for a majority of the clip, but for trickier areas I need to use the 'create reference frame' option. Everytime I click the icon to create the frame, I get this "Can't Import as a Sequence" error. I can't seem to locate a solution in the program or on the web. Can anyone help?Thanks so much!

I see this question has been asked several times but there isn't an answer that solves my situation. I have a factal noise filter in my file that I need to last an hour. The effect only lasts about 4-5 minutes before it stops and freezes the fractal noise pattern for the remainder of the video. I have included a screenshot of my fractal noise settings. Thanks for any direction.

Hello, I am having a meaningless problem. F9 key alone does not work for the application. I press the f9 key to use it but it has no effect. When I go to shortcuts and assign the f9 key to shift+f9, it works, but when I just press the f9 key, it doesn't detect it. How can I solve this problem?

Can you save a single composition from an After Effects project so it can be opened inside a second project? Deleting a couple hundred files from a large AEP to reduce it to a single comp is not realistic. Just need to move one composition into another project where it would be useful without having to migrate the entire original project. Reconnect the media and done. Possible?

How do I get easy ease to work on After Effects?  I am using a mac.  I tried things in the system preferences and keyboard shortcuts but I am not able to do it.  Please provide clear instructions, thanks.

So both plugin works in 3D space, I create a circle mask with watching tutorials but I cant see 3D fire at behind and front as 3D. a 

I don't understand something, and I don't know if I'm dumb or if it's a bug.  I have a layer with a lot of effects on it (for making procedural gears). I use a lot of expressions and effects on it. But one of them (to get the scale from a transform effect) triggers an error: (In French): After Effects (alerte): Expression désactivée. Erreur à la ligne 1 : Propriété ou méthode nomée "Echelle" dans la classe "group" introuvable ou inexistante; elle a peut-être été renomée, déplacée ou supprimée, ou le nom est mal orthographié.  ///  Expression disabled. Error on line 1: Property or method named "Echelle" in the "group" class not found or does not exist; it may have been renamed, moved, or deleted, or the name is misspelled.  BUT it is the good name. I've checked the typing and also used the expression picker to be sure, but it just doesn't work on its own layer. I tried the other expressions on the same layer and I get the same issue with each of them.B

Buenas tardes, hace tiempo que utilizo after effects y no he tenido problemas hasta ahora.Resulta que en la previsualizacion, al colocar cualquier vídeo se ve una pantalla verde y se rompe todo. El vídeo esta bien, si yo lo veo en un reproductor no hay errores. Ni esa pantalla verde que aparece.No se a que se debe. Lo peor es que no solo se ve en la previsualizacion sino tambien al exportar en cualquier formato.Si alguien tiene una solución se lo agradezco.IMG:IN ENGLISH:HiI had this problem in After Effects. When i Import a video on proyect it's look like a green screen in random parts. But this screen appear not only in the previsualization. When I need a layers opacity to turn on for a specific dropdown item I'll sometimes use this expression:dropdown = comp("CHOOSE LOGO HERE").layer("CHOOSE LOGO HERE").effect("Choose Station Logo")("Menu"); dropdown == 1 ? 100 : 0; However, what if I need they layer opacity to be 100 for more than one dropdown item. Say == 1, 8, 22 ? I can't seem to figure out how to get this to work. Any help?

Hello, I am new to After Effects and think that I'm going to start peeling the skin right off my face because of this, when I try to use the 3d tracking effect and click on the track markers no target appears and it only allows me to delete the track marks. I have watched every tutorial, read every post, and searched for every fix however, nothing has worked. Here are the things I've tried so as to not waste your time: Going to view –> show control layers (it is already turned on), clicking the analyze button under the 3d camera tracker section (it is grayed out anyway), making sure that "show track points" is turned on in the effects of the targeted video, and making sure that the active camera is turned on. Oh, and I am using 2d source instead of 3d solved because for some reason when I select 3d solved the trackers don't appear. Im stumped as to why my text is not masking.I'm following a tutorial that uses the offset effect so that the text slides up from hiding. But when I reposition my text it still is visible even outside of the bounds of the mask. Hi All, Just installed the latest AE beta to test out the FBX import. Created an animation with character in MixamoImports into AE just fine with character texture but without animation.Has anyone working with the latest AE beta had luck with FBX working properly?If so are there any tricks you've discovered that you would be willing to share?I'm on MacBook Pro M1 running the Sonoma OS Thanks so much,S 

Hello, I have Adobe After Effects 2024 installed on my Mac, and I'm unable to put the app in full-screen mode. Does anybody know why? Or is it supposed to be like this? Window options in apps I can put on full screen (Premiere Pro...): Window option in apps I cant put on full screen (After effects): When I click the "Zoom" option, it only zooms the app, but I can still see the dock and some parts of the desktop, which is quite annoying. App and Mac specs: After Effects 2024 version 24.2.1 (latest)Mac OS 14.3.1 (23D60) (latest) MacBook Pro 14"Apple M3 chip with 8-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 16-core Neural Engine16GB unified memory512GB of SSD Thanks for help! 

I am creating a shape layer in After Effects, that I want to use as a MATTE layer in Avid to create different "looks" for how Archival footage is shown (i.e different shaped boxes etc). However, it only seems to work when I fill in the shape layer with a color. But, the issue is then the Color is represented in Avid on the footage. When I tried it with no color, it does not show anything in Avid. Please help!

I was having trouble loading a few thousand point features into After Effects without AE crashing. GEOlayers gives me the warning that says "You're trying to draw 3484 features with 3484." After I loaded the features in, After Effects became unresponsive, I got the spinning wheel of death and I had to force quit.How can I more efficiently load these 3484 points into After Effects with GEOlayers? I then need to continue editing. These are the things that I have tried so far:1. I have allocated as much RAM as possible to After Effects. Currently I have 6.5 GB available for AE.2. I have closed all other applications running on my Mac.3. I have reduced the resolution to "quarter."4. I am using my fastest external harddrive for the diskcache folder.5. My project AE file is on the external harddrive.6. Hello, everyone! I'm creating a GPU effects plugin by modifying the Vignette_GPU example.I used the CreateGPUPPix function of PrSDKGPUDeviceSuite to change the outFrame buffer size. int bufferWidth = 2560; int bufferHeight = 1440; mGPUDeviceSuite->CreateGPUPPix( mDeviceIndex, pixelFormat, bufferWidth, bufferHeight, inRenderParams->inRenderPARNum, inRenderParams->inRenderPARDen, inRenderParams->inRenderFieldType, outFrame ); However, the problem is that the origin of the buffer is fixed to the top left of the sequence.The image below shows the problem I was facing, where the start of the outframe buffer is anchored to the top left of the sequence. The image below is an example of the typical buffer resizing I want to implement. How do I move the start point of an outframe buffer?Dear Adobe community, please help me with this issue.

I was editing in 3d layers (some) and after completing my edit I realized my composition was 3 min long where my video was 1 min long. So I decided to change the time but mistakely I made 1 sec instead on 1 min, and again I corrected it to 1 min and all of a sudden my layers gone missing and I am unable to play the preview of the video I edited. please check out the video I provided. I need to submit my work tomorrow.
