Rendering issue

Question

Hi all, a regular issue from what I can see, but previous forum posts based on this have not helped. I have set up my project, and have added a solid colour as a background, and have made sure this was at the bottom of the layer list. Whenever I go to render, which is through Media Encoder, it renders it as a black background. I have checked to make sure the transparency button is not turned on, and have also changed the colour of the solid, to which it renders as a very very dark version of that colour. Any suggestions?

As mentioned by Mylenium, please share more details so that we can troubleshoot the issue properly:

What are your system specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS)?
The exact version of After Effects.
Does it happen with a particular project or all of them?

Here's what you can try:

Clear the media cache: https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects/faq-how-to-clean-delete-or-trash-media-cache-files-in-after-effects/td-p/10634312?page=1
Switch the renderer to Software Only from File > Project Settings.
