I have the newest macbook pro, M1 chip, 1TB SSD, and the no update of premiere pro no longer supports my third party transitions i have been using fing before the update. Premiere pro also now randomly crashes.

After effects. Everytime i click play or the space bar after outlining my subject with the rotobrush, after effects just shuts down and shows an error message. Im absolotly sick and tired of spending money with adobe if they arent gonna get it together. I am considering cancelling my subscription.

The Rotobrush issue is a known and reported bug, but there is a simple workaround. It affects more than just M1 Macs. The workaround is to just make a single click with the Rotobrush tool, then turn on Caps Lock, then change the Version from 2.0 to 1.0 in the Effects Panel/Rotobrush/Version Options, release Caps Lock and complete your Rotobrush.

You'll have to contact the transition pack maker about an Update. It's not fair to expect Adobe to make sure that all 3rd party developers support new software architecture.

You also need to make sure that you check the cables running to external drives. You can get an 80 to 90% reduction in read-write speed by using a USB C cable instead of a high-quality Thunderbolt cable. A small break in the shielding of an older cable can also cause a huge speed decrease. This fouls up both AE and Premiere Pro.

You should also consider trying the Beta Apps if you have access to them. Both Premiere Pro and AE bata are currently working very well on my M1 Mac. I'm not losing any productivity at all.
