Zero Fill

THis is an easy one I expect.

I want to create a shape with an outline but no fill. When I click on the Fill panel on the top bar of the interface it gives me options to change the colour but option to select empty. Where this would usually have a white box with a single red line through it in other programs like illustrator.

Correct answer Mylenium

Nope, doesn't work this way. For shape layers you have to twirl open the shape hierarchy in the timeline and simply delete the fill.

It is maybe old post but I think it can help people and I just figured it out after trying to find the answer, so here's how to put no fill:

1. Put a cursor on the top fill image.

2. Click alt + left click on it until it says no fill.

Done.

if you want the fill to be empty just click on the fill name and you will be presented with more options:

you can also alt+click on the fill color to change between different modes.

if you do create a using the pen tool or the parametric tool, you will still get a fill in the shape group, but its visibility will be toggled off.

You're not seeing this?

You have to choose before you make the shape layer. After creating the layer you can simply turn off the eyeball or delete the layer.
