I have really shaky hands and I can't seem to find a setting to change the smoothing. It helps me a lot in photoshop (Dragging the line just a bit behind your brush stroke) but I haven't found anything for fixing this with animate? Is it an actual feature or am I just blind. I'm using the latest updatable version, with Adobe Creative Cloud anyway.

When Motion Tween created object auto moves few pixels from its position, copying from last frame same object sometimes doesnt paste into its postition, even changing X or Y coordinates it jumps back to wrong postition. Sometimes re-copying object from last frame helps with tiny position inacurracy, but there are times when you need to rethink whole animation, becouse nothing helps and it doesnt stay still even without animating anything.Anyone encountered this issue?

august 2025 just had a bad crash and then find this thread anyone have experience repairing corrupted files?  it's "just" data, so there must be ways toscrape out / examine it relatively diredtly while genai is coming for animators, there's something super hand made bespoke about animate i love.  i'm always unsure if i should do projects in ae or blender; but i keep coming back to animate  loves me some vector graphics. 

Hello everyone! I'm just wondering if there is still a way to download Animate CC 2019.If it is possible, can someone tell how to download it?

The logic behind the mask layers of this software is bogus.Aside from that, they work with Vibes only. Basically, sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong. I just duplicated the layer and put a mask on it so that I can draw shadows on it. It works 80% of the time, aside from when Animate bugs. Is it because the layers have objects inside???GIF: I hate this software. I wish I didn't grow with it. I wish there was an alternate.

 I want to tween this drawing object. They are the same drawing object, but animate doesn't let me. Is there a way to tween drawing objects without converting them to symbols?

Im making a huge html5 canvas project. I have noticed something. I have some sounds playing. One sound plays then when user clicks on the button another one plays. If i click back the second sound turns off and the first sound plays. If i repeat this 2 times the second sound dissappears for some reason. This occurs only when open the file locally. This is not happening when opening through Adobe Animate. Why? Should i provide which codes i use?

Hi, I placed three pins on a monkey tail.  I clicked on one pin and moved it up, I then want to rotate thispin.  It's not giving me the rotation symbol to do so.  What am I doing wrong? Thanks! Sue 

The new Hands-on Tutorial Creator in v20.5 requires you to select an Animate preferences file (.anp).However, it's impossible to create such a file. The menu itemAnimate > Preferences... > Export Preferences always returns this error:"Unable to export the settings to the specified location."Actually, to any location at all.Moreover, a search on my Mac shows no file exists with that extension .anp.Where do I locate my preferences file, and how do I export/import one?Thanks.

When I first did the stork animation tutorial the warp tool grid was made of yellow lines in neat triangular sections just like in the instructions.  Now when I use the warp tool the lines are all over the place and the animation looks bad.  Did I somehow change the warp tool? Is there a way to restore the default setting?

Basically I'm recreating assets for one of the shows I like (The Nightly Manor) and when I try to open the file, it says, "An error occured when trying to open TNM ASSETS REMADE.fla"i tried duplicating it, uploading it to drive and reinstalling it, yet nothing is opening, and the same error pops up.i can't use cloudconvert because .FLAs aren't supported, and like i said before, the drive thing doesn't worki dont know why this is happening and now im going insane please help

1 )Animate crashed and my project got corrupted. I am on mac, and tried the process of zipping the file and then unarchiving it using archive utility All my lovely assets are there, just waiting to be uncorrupted. Can anyone walk me through the next few steps?I believe I need to create a new animate project and then copy these assets into it in the finder? Or could animate recognize and import any of them directly?     2) I somehow have an SWF of my last animation that plays fine, but can't seem to convert it into an mpeg or other format for editing...I've tried VLC, handbrake... Any help appreciated.

new on forums, i had to create this post because i'm desperate and disappointed.so i had a fla file containing something i was working on, and today, that file got corrupted and couldn't get it fixed... the recover file also got corrupted.  all i have left is a swf file containing all my progress so far and want to recover the fla through it, that's it.

Hi! Was wondering if anyone would be willing to try to un-corrupt my fla file. I tried myself and kinda failed so I got desperate and made this topic.If it can't be fixed then no worries, I'll just.... Drink a lot of energy drinks... Hi, I am trying to find a solution to create something like the example below. https://youtu.be/nf24wGe95OA    I need to create this affect in adobe animate, is it possible? Notice the left and right edges rotate and stay on path. I was initially thinking each little raised zig zag part would need to be a layer and have to create a seperate motion for each one. It would be too time consuming and difficult to get right when duplicating it. Then I found the example - which is a snake movement example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLcD4Me1QeI?   What is the best and easiest way to create this where the zigzag parts look correctly following a path?  

I tried to install the application on my Windows computer, delete it and do it in another way but it didn't work. This tutorial gif is causing performance problems for me even though my PC is not weak.Actually, I solved this, but maybe others were having this problem too. Bonjour, lorsque j'ouvre la bibliothèque de pinceaux, que je double clique sur le pinceau qu'il m'intéresse, rien ne se passe. Il me semble qu'il devrait apparaitre dans le panneau à droite avec les style de pinceaux? Je n'arrive vraiment pas à utiliser ces brush préétablies.  Elles ont l'air super, mais impossible, mon pinceau reste le pinceau classique. Quelqu'un a déjà eu ce soucis? Merci ! 

I need help please, so, all of us know that you can't make a video start from a specific frame or paise the video in animate, but i know a workaround, so, the workaround is to import a new symbol, you made that symbol a graphic symbol and the you throw the embedded video(flv format) in that symbol, after you put the symbol in the scene and because the symbol is a graphic symbol you can use the frame picker, now the problem is that when tou put the first frame of the video to be be the frame 344 for example, so the video will start from that frame, in the program looks perfectly fine but when i export my animation as a SWF file or mp4 or anything else the video that i set to play from frame 344 plays from frame 1, WHY???  Please HELP!

Hi Adobe Community, I have a customer working on a project remastering older games that require a specific version of ActionScript (AS 2.0). Unfortunately, Adobe Animate doesn’t support AS 2.0, so it isn’t a viable option for their workflow. They understand that ActionScript 2.0 is considered legacy technology, but want to check if there is any way to obtain a legal copy of Adobe Flash so they can safely recompile SWF files for this project. If anyone has guidance on whether Adobe offers a legitimate path for this, or if there are approved alternatives that maintain AS 2.0 compatibility, I'd greatly appreciate your insight. Hello, am new to Adobe animate and I need help animating how to trace the alphabet. Can you help?

What am I doing wrong? I can’t export an animation with a transparent background. I follow the steps as discribed in other posts (from years ago) but still, the background turns out black instead of transparent. These are the export settings I use:Export > Video/mediaIgnore color workarea (checked)Format > Quicktime / Default (Animate)Start Adobe Media Encoder immediately (I tried both checked & unchecked) The output is a .mov file that I can’t open in Quicktime because a dialogue box says it is in not compatible with Quicktime Player. Who knows what I am doing wrong here?
