Questions

New to Animate, thanks for the help.  I am trying to animate a simple character walking.  Behind him is the background of a hallway.  It moves right to left as the character walks.  Then the character enters the bedroom which is a new background.  It also moves from right to left, then stops.  He interacts with another character and the background dissolves to another scene (background #3).  I'm having trouble getting from one background to the next.  I used new layers for the 2nd background (bedroom) and the 3rd background (new scene).  The classic tween works on the first background but not #s 2 or 3.  Can't find a tutorial that seems to address this.  Again, thanks.  

When i open Adobe Animate, it just keeps saying "Creating Workspace" and nothing happens.

For adobe animate I've been trying to use the keyboard shortcuts specifically for frames F5 F7 more specifically, none of those shortcuts are working I have tried many other things like checking settings and making sure I'm selecting things correctly. Unsure of what to do. 

Hello, during rendering the animation does not load completely. When previewing the animation, all layers are active. The animation is as it should be. when I want to click publish or export, only one layer is animated. I made animations for all the symbols that I created myself. Well, during the final animation you can see the animation of only one character.    

Why are most other Adobe Software programs up to date and working with Mac OS Ventura but not Adobe Animate? I mean Adobe Animate is not even on the compatible with macOS 13 Ventura website. When I copy keyframes on a symbol that is motion tweened and paste it in a different part of the timeline, it just re-scales and re-positions the layers, messing up my whole animation. In this case, I am animating a walk cycle and simply trying to copy and paste the keyframes so I don't have to indivually animate everything again. Could anyone possibly help me to find a solution towards this problem? Thank you 🙂

ok going to try this last part again(see my other posts as we have solved getting this IN cc and i can even make  video off the tricks this  way. the script was HUGELY helpful in adapting the clothes however and cutting errors in typing. how would i unload the placeholder files from the displaylist and add the art TO the displaylistas that seems to be how this was done.  this has no code yet but since visual results seem to get the best results i created this mockup if whati want to do.....   what i am also noting is this generates this FULLY in memory and and does not make a new swf ,etcassets are untouched by generating the preview image in the original game.     

Hey, this is my first time posting something to the Adobe forum, so hopefully I'm speaking in the right place.So, I'm playing a file that I had animated over the past month. Roughly 70-75 seconds long, uses just under 29 MB, and runs on ActionScript 3.0. When I'm playing a file inside, everything seems to be going normal except for some output lag probably caused by the density of symbols in some areas. That's not really my problem here. The problem I'm having here is that sometimes, the tweens of symbols (primarily nested symbols) tend to glitch and show themselves being extremely buggy. Not all tweens do this, but even if a tween looks completely normal in the file, it will tend to do actions post-export that should not be possible.An example of this I will provide is a symbol that moves down through a Classic Ease. Some symbols nested within this symbol will pulse colour at specific intervals, but as a separate symbol they do not move other than the Color Effects being tweened (it j

Hello!  I'm a long time user of Animate, but I'm not a coder and never learned action script, so forgive me if this is too basic a question. Is there a way to create actions in Animate, the same way as there is in Photoshop? Here is what I want to do: my workflow makes it so I'm constantly changing the looping behavior on symbols (from "play single frame," to "loop," to "play once," etc.)  These buttons are not available in the hot-key menu, so I am constantly having to click on them with my mouse. It would be nice to map these to a hot-key, since it would make my workflow much faster. It ocurred to me that Photoshop has the actions panel, which lets you "record" button clicks and then play them back. There is an "Actions" panel in animate, but all I can find about it is how to use it inside of a published project, to add custom behaviors. Is there a way to use this panel to achieve the thing I'm trying to do? Alternatively, are there extensions that will help

 Good morning, I have been looking for a long time but my lack of experience and knowledge handicaps me. Is there an "animate" equivalent for the startDrag(myClip, false, left, top, right, bottom) method that existed in ActionScript? A big thank you to anyone who can help me.

Can't EXPORT to Video Media

I'm trying to scroll down to previous layers but the scroll bar moves without moving the window. can anyone tell me what is wrong? 

I'd like to create an animation in Adobe Animate and bring it into Figma. I thought I could perhaps just export it as an .mp4 and bring that into Figma, but the colours might not match up properly (e.g. the video + website need a #000 background) So I thought maybe I could export the AA animation as HTML (if thats even possible) and maybe import that into Figma? Basically Im just trying to avoid having to create the same animation twice, once in AA and once in Figma

Hello everyone! When I try to "refine tween" of a Camera layer's motion tween in Adobe Animate, the only property curve I can select is the X axis. The Y axis, depth, Z, etc. are all un-clickable. This is not the case for other layers. Any ideas why I'm running into this issue? Thanks!!! \

We have a heavily graphical legacy desktop Flash AS2 application that we need to rebuild in Animate, but in all the research I've done so far, I'm not sure if it's achievable with the architecture allowable in Animate and AS3.The app has a home/landing page that is essentially used as a container to load and switch children swf files (MovieClipLoader with onLoadInit listener) as well as a data XML that is used by all children for content and menus. All movies are single frame controlled with AS2 script. This home page has 5 layers, the background layer, 2 x dynamic 'container' layers, the top layer (for heading and menu), and actions layer. The child movies are dynamically loaded by the landing page into the dynamic 'container' layers, and once loaded, the children movies call functions within landing page, referred to by _level0, which is no longer available in AS3 (and root refers to the base class of the SWF's DisplayObject). From a user perspective, the app goes 4-5 pages deep, but

Can anybody guide me on how to control the main root timeline from within a movieclip with HMTL5?  I remember doing this years ago with actionscript and I think all I needed to do was add ".root" somewhere and it worked but I'm not sure how to go about it now with HMTL5. Here's my specific scenario.  I have a movieclip on my root timeline.  That movieclip has a bunch of frames inside of it that you can flip through by clicking a next button which is also inside that movieclip.  When you get to the final frame of the movieclip I want that next button to now take the use to a different point of the main root timeline. I imagine the code would not be that different from basic timeline navigation but with some addition to specify which timeline I'm referring to but I dunno. What do you guys think?Thanks in advance.

Hey everyone,I'm trying to create an animation based off of a 5-minute mp3 audio recording. I need to be able to switch my audio sync settings to Stream so that I can preview audio anywhere in my animation. Currently if I press play just anywhere in the animation it doesn't play the audio. I have to play from the beginning to hear.After doing some searching on the Internet, I figured out I have to switch my audio sync setting to Stream so that I can play audio anywhere in the timeline. However, the only option I have available is Event. The other ones are greyed out, as the screenshots below testify. Any help would be appreciated. Hello. I'm trying to create a start / stop toggle button for an audio file within adobe animate using html5. I have the audio starting on the down state, but I'm not sure how to have the second click (on the same button) stop the audio. I'm new to animate and I have seen similar threads on how to do this with actions/code snippets but I don't have the knowledge to apply to my project. Any help is appreciated. Best. 

When I export video from Animate CC, the media encorder opens but nothing appears in it. Nor is its file created anywhere in the storage. When I export video from Adobe Premiere Pro, it gets exported to media recorder perfectly.But there is a problem in exporting from animate cc.

I have a student whose color picker is acting wonky on Adobe Animate 2024. It instantly changes from the color picker to a gradient bucket with a lock on it and fills all of the art on the layer. I thought the color picker was supposed to act more like Photoshop where it changes just the swatches and then he could draw a new line with that color. The paint bucket popping up is frustrating. Anyone know what is going on?

Hello, I have problem with my android project. I use Air SDK to publish my project. In my project i have video and i want the video have playback funtion so user can play and pause or mute the video. The video have the playback function while i run test in adobe animate but after i publish and install in my android phone the skin playback not appear.(*Note the video working well just not have skin playback)  HELP ME  

Good Morning. when animate asks me in air configuration for android the logos, the largest size it asks me is 192x192 px. However, I think the optimal size should be 512x512 px. why do i think this? because, just before launching the application on my phone, the icon appears small and does not occupy all the space that android offers, but remains in the center and there are white spaces on the sides (maybe the problem is another )....is there any way to upload a logo in 512?. Or else fix the issue of blank sides on my icon just before launching the app? Thank you very much

Hi all, I'm fairly new to Animate, so I don't fully understand its tools and limitations yet.  Is there a way to select and move anchor points on two or more objects at once, like you can in Illustrator?  Say for example I want to select and move all the anchor points where they converge in the middle here. How would I do that?
