Sorry, this is a bit of a rant... but hopefully, I am expressing what others are thinking.Remember when Adobe demonstrated an advanced Audition version with the ability to edit a recording by directly manipulating the text, both deleting text and adding new text synthesized in the same voice? It was really cool, and Adobe said they were going to release the product soon. What was that? Ten years ago? Now that I am very well versed in Generative AI tech and work in this field, I understand that what Adobe demonstrated was entirely scripted and fake because the technology to do exactly what they demonstrated simply did not exist. But I am off-topic. It's now 2024, and Audition (even the Beta version) still doesn't support speech-to-text, and even the text-to-speech generator is 1990s SAPI technology! No one uses SAPI text-to-speech any longer! Some might say Premiere offers speech-to-text. It sure does, and it is ridiculously bad! Have you compared it to even the oldest it

I have an important Audition question. For work I have to edit 1-2 hour long talks where I have to cut out certain sentences. I was doing it in Premiere so I could use a transcription and other shortcuts but they want us to do it in Auditon multitracks. My question is, is there any way on earth to SELECT CLIPS BY COLOR (to be able to ripple delete all the things we want cut out?) I'm able to do this in Premiere and DaVinci and I spent an hour with ChatGPT trying to develop a Phython code to accomplish this and Audition doesn't seem to have a code for finding the color of clips.We would use Premiere but it turns out when you bring a Premiere XML timeline into Audition, it will RENDER OUT WAV files of all your cuts instead of keeping the source mp3 intact . I tried making a Phython code to have Audition bring in a Premiere timeline and link the original source audio but that also failed. ANY feedback is greatly appreciated!!

Hi all. Just wondering if anyone else is using the Liquid Sonics 'Seventh Heaven Professional' plug in and having any issues?When I try to bounce down a mix the plug-in effect / audio isn't bouncing  with the rest of the stems. Any thoughts? Latest version of Audition. Mac Ventura 13.7.4 

Hi, I have registred a podcast with multiple voices and started the edition. It's a multitrack session, i have six audio tracks, all based on the same .wav file. It was almost done, but at this moment i found a way to have better sound (thanks Adobe Podcast, if only i discovered you before). So now, i have a new .wav file and i really don't want to restart all over. Is it possible to replace the audio file source in Adobe Audition, and keep the edition table like before ?In PremierePro you have this option, you import a new file in the app, and select anything you want in your editing table, and click on Replace the source file.Can i do somethinng like that on Audition ?For information, i have the latest version of Adobe Audtion, 25.0.0.47. Hope it's clear 😉Thanks you

Bonjour, j'espère que vous allez bien.Je n'ai aucun effet VST et VST 3 sur adobe audition. Je n'en comprends pas la raison ?J'ai déjà essayé de réinstaller l'application mais rien n'y fait, je n'ai aucun d'effet VST dans le dossier HD de mon Mac (image 2). Je ne comprends pas pourquoi et comment faire pour avoir les effets de bases qui s'affichent ?Est-il possible de réinitialiser les plugins dans le dossier VST d'une quelconque manière, afin que j'aie des effets qui s'affichent dans l'onglet (image 1)?J'ai tenté de rechercher des modules externes, mais il ne trouve que des plugins AU (image 3).   En espérant que quelque puisse m'aider car je n'y comprends rien du tout 🥲 En vous remerciant d'avance ! 

Is there a reason that you jump to the most upper track when zoming in with alt+scrolling? I know that this doesn't happen when you zoom over the name of the track but this just slows navigating around the tracks enough down to be annoying. I also just forget it at least a few times every time i work in Audition and then being send back to the most upper track is a bit frustrating. Could this be changed?

What is the keyboard shortcut to quickly switch between Overwrite and Insert recording modes in Adobe Audition? I use Punch and Roll for long-form audiobook narration, and right now, the only way I can switch modes is by right-clicking (or control-clicking) the record button and selecting the option with my mouse. A keyboard shortcut would save me a lot of time. Thanks,Dana

J'ai une carte son Lexicon 8 entrées, celle ci est configurée sur le PC  en entrée et ensortie donc les signaux passe par USB (pas de connection audio analogue).Je veux par exemple etre capable si je lis un fichier audio/vidéo sur Youtube etre capable d'enregistrer le son sur Audition. Je n'arrive pas a activer les "sons systemes" comme Input sur W10.Merci d'avance.

Hello.I am using build 24.0.0.46.Windows 10 x 64When I save the FLAC file, it shrinks significantly!Some information is lost, which means the quality is deteriorating!The FLAC source file is 16 bit, 44100 hz.When saving, I also set the FLAC parameters to 16 bits, 44100 hz.In the program settings, 44100 hz is also set.For the experiment, I upload only one VST3 plug-in to the Effect Rack (FabFilter Pro-Q 4 (flat default)), enable bypass mode on this plug-in, click Apply, and save it in the same format. The result: more than 5% of the information is lost. The source file is 36.1 MB, and the saved file is 34.2 MB. On large 24-bit files, up to 20% of the information is lost!Is this a flaw in the program?How can I fix this?

First the limiters stop working in premeir pro and now this. Is there a way to select all of the clips on a multitrack sequence where the playhead is? I have a 4 track project and it would save a lot of time. I can razor all 4 tracks at once but I have to manually highlight all 4 clips in order to ripple delete them.

I am having an issue i can no longer today export my entire mixdown as  mp3.When i try the option entire session is greyed out. Note i am in multitrackAppreciate if someone has  a solution

I often use the Frequency analysis view for comparing several averaged spectrums with each other. Sometimes you want to use one spectrum as a reference and see the spectral deviation of other recordings compared to the reference. This can be handy when you want to analyse spectral changes in different setups.  Let's say that you want to analyse the attenuation of a physical door. You set up a loudspeaker and a microphone on each side of a door opening. First you record white noise with open door, then you close the door and record white noise through the closed door.  Spectrum1 - spectrum2 will give the spectral attenuation. Is there a way to do this in Adobe Audition? The best solution would be if Spectrum1 could be used as reference for every new spectrum that is calculated. Then you will get the true attenuation spectrum for each test case.  Any advise on this? Please contact me on [personal email address redacted - Adobe policy] if you like.

Hi, We recently upgraded one of our end users laptop and installed Adobe Audition. When they are trying to open files from Audition which are saved on One Drive and the shortcut is in File Explorer we get the following download box. I asked the end user to close down the software and re-open and open the same file and the 2nd time no download box appears. As the end user is not very IT literate I have best explained why this is happening but they are wondering if there is any way to avoid seeing the download box We are running Windows 11 Pro on a Lenovo E15 laptop. 

I'm working in Audition for years, but never had this before... The sound quality when I play something in Audition is very low... as if it was super low bitrate.. Any tips where the problem could be ?

Hello! I just installed Audition 2024 on my macOS Sonoma 14.5 today. When I tried to import a WAV file, I got the following error message: Error: AmioLSF plug-in could not open the file. Code: 1. Unrecognized Format. I'm not familiar with the message and the latest forum post I found about it was from 2017. Help? 

I just did a Windows 10 install on 2 workstations that were running 7 and updated to the latest versions of Premiere and Audition. Everything went perfect except I have a problem with the "edit in Audition" feature. I am getting - "the file is in use by another application and cannot be overwritten". Both computers are doing the same thing so I am assuming something the 10 install caused it. I tried several clips and its stuck. It will let me do a "save as" to the drive with a different name and I can manually replace it but that takes extra time. . I reloaded the software on one of the workstations just in case the but the problem stays. I used the stations last week before the update and must have used the feature at least 10 times from the timeline so it always worked. I double checked the cache settings and everything seems in order. Any suggestions were to start. I've been doing sound editing of a film project on Audition with multitracks with video reference. Now, I want to export everything as a video file with audio, but for whatever reason, the "Export with Adobe Media Encoder" option in the Export drop menu is greyed-out (but funnily enough, the "Export to Adobe Premiere Pro" is not). Does someone has a clue as to how to "ungrey" it, so that I can export my video and audio tracks together with Encoder?Note: The project was created from scratch in Adobe Audition, it's not coming from Premiere Pro through Dynamic Link.Thanks!

Hi,when I use rendered mode für stretching the audio level is clipping constantly afterwards. It's not hearable but the level indicator is showing clipping almost all the time. This only happens in rendered mode, not in real-time mode. I would like to use rendered mode as it is supposed to be higher quality.Does anyone have the same problem or an explanation? Thanks from Germany,Christian

Is there a way to completely remove vocals from a song?

Hi....I am editing a daily podcast from a 1970's radio show. The audio has a quiet slilght echo of the actual speech about 1-2 seconds before the person actual speaks the words...it is noticable when the speaker is quiet...there is an audio clip posted below... on the clip....the person says "And God is the mighty Creator" and you can hear the quiet echo of that phrase BEFORE they actually speak it...is there something I can do to remove that echo on the entire audio file all at once? thanks currently I am using "adobe podcast enhancer" then some noise reduction then "scrubbing" the audio...I don't think the audio is overprocessed....but I could be wrong...also I hear this all the time on audio for old vhs tapes too if anyone has a cure that would be great...thanks
