I am trying to add meaningful metadata to my pictures and there are a few instances where I added more levels of organization to the metadata but Bridge will not allow me to delete the first metadata. For example, I originally was naming all the pictures of swimmers I was taking. Over time I then realized I wanted Swimmers to be a Keyword and each swimmer to by a Sub Keyword; but I have thousands of pictures where each swimmer still shows up as a Keyword. Is there a way I can write a script or use another program that would allow me to select all the files in all the directories I have which could allow me to move all the swimmers to fall under the new Swimmer keyord?
Hello. I have been troubleshooting an issue of missing files from a server. I understand that Adobe's stance is that it does not support server saving/usage.A few users have reported files disappearing off a network share. One user had a folder open in Adobe Bridge, only to notice that a subfolder disappeared. Server logs and client workstation auditing shows that the files were deleted by the user (everything matches up, including timestamps). User states that the folder was not deleted intentionally. After review of of these instances, a commonality is that all the users who report missing folders all have Bridge installed on their workstations. We suspect that Bridge might be somehow deleting files/folder without user intervention. Have anyone had similar experiences?Adobe Bridge installations are all recent/updated. These missing folders appear to occur over both AFP and SMB protocols. Client machines are macOS High Sierra, Mojave, and Windows 7, 10 workstations.
Would it make sense to periodically export Brdge keywords as a way to create a backup for them?
Dear Community,I need to add dublin core metadata to 40 images, and I found that adobe bridge could be good for it.But I don't know exactly how to do it. Could you help me with that? Many thanks in advance
Hi, I've been a user of Bridge for many years and as far as I remember it has been a stable and reliable product helping me with productivity in my workflow. This was abruptly changed with the 2020 release. Now Bridge and Photo Downloader appears still be in Beta phase, which is absurd. I am on a fresh Windows 10 platform, fully updated, and the application is constantly spitting out random errors, making it completely unusable. Here are a couple of the more critical ones:Selecting a download folder shows a corrupt Windows Explorer. I randomly can't select a folder. Sometimes I can. After finally being able to select a folder and begin downloading images from my memory card, the program fails. And the last error is a complete crash of the program. All I'm trying to do is import pictures from my memory card to my computer. BRAndreas
I'm finding myself needing to edit sequences of photos more and more. From a selection of, lets say 40 photographs, I'm pulling 10 images and then putting them into a particular order (think Instagram etc). Is Bridge the best way to do this, or has Adobe got better tools for doing this?
I'm on Mac OS Catalina and since switching I've found that I'm not able to delete files out of my local Dropbox folder through bridge. I get an error message and then have to navigate through the finder. Additionally I'm not able to see anything on my DS918 server on my Network. I can see it, it's showing up in my options to view. But once I click on it nothing pulls up. Again I have to navigate manually through my finder window. I had none of these issues on older versions of the program. However my tablet didn't work on older versions so I had to upgrade. It's very frustrating to say the least!
I recently updated Bridge to the latest version, but I just can't work with the interface. I restored my 2018 version from a back up, and now I can't acces RAW because I keep getting this error: "Bridge activation status cannot be determined" How can I authenticate my software and sync it with CC so I can use the full features? Thanks!!
After updating to Adobe Bridge 2020, none of my pictures are rendered correctly on screen. It seems like every picture is rendered in a very low resolution, resulting in no details in the shadow parts of an image. In Adobe 2019 everything is rendering perfectly. With updating to the last version of Bridge, I also checked the option "keep preferences from old version". The recent Bridge "bug fix" is also installed, but the problem still persist. My computer is updated, so are all the graphic drivers etc. The problem is very frustrating, leaving hte latest Bridge version useless for me. Any help is highly appreciated. I have enclosed a example picture, and a screenshot of my Windows system prefs from a Dell 9560:
I have updated to the latest versions of Photoshop and Bridge, however clicking on the files in Bridge still launches Photoshop 2019 and I cant find any way of reseting the default to CC2020, the file associations in preferences only offer Photoshop2019 but or a "Browse" box instead of a dropdown menu of alternative programs, please see the attached picture. Many thanks in advance for any help with this issue.
I've put together a folder of images to send, and like to do a Bridge slideshow to see how they'll appear. Most images look very sharp, just as they appear when I open them in their apps or Preview. But a few present as really soft, even though they were processed to the same specs. These same images look fine when viewed outside of Bridge. I'd love to know what's causing this, but more importantly, I am concerned that the folks I'm sending this to will view it with Bridge and have the same issue. I've never had this problem before. I'm using old CS6. Thanks.
My Adobe Bridge 10.0.2.131 doesn't preview In Design files!!! I can see any other thumbnails, just not In Design.
after updating my photoshop and bridge last night, to my dismay when I went to file>place in bridge to transport my item to photoshop, it was greyed out. I use that option all the time, so if anyone has any clue how to fix this annoying issue, I would greatly appreciate the help!
I have a user here that has a large profile anyway due to the nature of his work, we are trying to minimise this as much as possible by redirecting what we can. The Media cache is currently point to his appdata\Roaming\Adobe\Common and we would like to point it to the D drive but I have found no option to do this, all we seem to be able to do is set the automatic deletion on but we would rather it be redirected entirely. If anyone has a way to do this please let me know. Many Thanks,Andrew

Good afternoon, I am wondering if anyone has ever created an advanced indexing system for photography? I do photographic documentation but was asked if I have ever done advanced indexing.
Hi everybody,I'm using bridge cc2015 6.3.1.186 (macmini late 2012 running osx 10.9.5) and I downloaded and installed the output module plugin but I can't realize how to preview multipages pdf contact sheets; in other words: I can easily select images for contact sheet, but I only can see page 1... I can't find a way to preview following pages...Any suggestion?Thank you for helping me!
I am writing to voice my extreme displeasure on the changes to the Bridge 2019 interface. I really liked being able to control the tone of the thumbnail section and the panel section separately in earlier version of Bridge. I also dislike the placement of a dark border around the thumbnail. Stop trying to make bridge look like Lightroom which I also hate because of its black only interface. Please go back to the old style or at least give us a legacy checkbox.
I've just got an Olympus OM-d M5III and am working with raw for the first time. I output both raw and jpeg.1. For getting images off the camera, I remove the SD Card and put it in my Windows 10 computer.2. At this point I can drag the files from the SD Card in the computer to a photostaging folder using Windows Explorer, or I can use the Olympus Workspace software (my current method), or, I think I can use Adobe Bridge to move the files from the sdcard to my photostaging folder. Is there any reason not to just use Windows Explorer for getting the files from the sdcard on the computer to the photostaging folder? 3. Once the files are in the staging folder, I convert the raw files using Adobe DNG Converter.4. At this point I open the staging folder using Bridge 6, rate them, label them, and mark for post processing.5. The post processing is on the raw files using Camera Raw. I have not been turning on lens profiling for this step, but think I should be. To summarize: What input
CC App is telling me a new version of Bridge is available. As usual, I can not find out any info on it.I currently have installed 10.0.1.126 which, according to the top of this forum, is the current version released December 10th. Where do I find info on the new version? What exactly are the "high priority issues" fixed in it?Where do I find current release information? Why is it so damn difficult to always find this information? Why isn't current version number always included in the update notification and why isn't a link to current release information always included in a link from it?
I Cannot delete files in Adobe Brigde 2019. I tried everything from deleting the cache manually in Bridge, deleting it through Libraries map in Finder. Resetting Bridge with CMD + alt + Shift. Uninstall and reinstall and restarting my Mac. Also have the most recent version on MacOS (Catalina).I really don't know what I could do anymore. I am trying to delete some files on my Nas drive btw.
If I run an exif reader against my .MTS video files, I can see the original date, but it shows up blank in the metadata exposed in Bridge. Any clue why this is? I need that date to be visible since I'm using it in batch renaming.
When do you intent to add Nikon Z50 kitlenses to your list? These are very good lenses for beginner photographers and starting ADOBE programs, if they are supported.
Hello there, does anyone have the same problem after the last two updates (10.0, 9.1)? This problem always occurs after minimizing the program to the taskbar. After maximizing it again the folder view is completely pushed to the edge. You have to drag it out again. Setting back to default settings and a complete uninstalling didn't help. Adobe is running on Windows 10 Pro, Version 1903.
I have developed Tree Shade extension and found that in Adobe Bridge v 9.1 there is no problem, but in the newest version the app crashes at this line scopeInfo.push (scopeInfoFile.modified.getTime()); Also the scopeInfoFile is File object and the file exists. I checked that by writing info to a text file on DesktopAnd I get this output:scopeInfoFile instanceof File: truescopeInfoFile.exists: truescopeInfoFile.modified instanceof Date: falsehttps://exchange.adobe.com/creativecloud.details.13737.tree-shade.html
