Goodmorning,How do I fix this? Anyone...
Hello, I just updated to Adobe Bridge 2023. When I want to delete images (and not only reject them), I always used the shortcut Control+delete. But in the Bridge 2023, that only works fine in the full image preview. It does not work anymore in the overviews of the workspaces like like library view, lighttable view and so on. My system:- Windows 11, latest version- Adobe Bridge 2023, lateste version RegardsAnja
I have a PC running Windows 11 22H2 and have Bridge 14.01.137. installed. Camera - Nikon Z8 The Photo Downloader cannot detect a device despite the fact that Windows and Lightroom can both see it without any issues. I'm using a CF Express/SDXC USB 3 card reader.Does anyone know how I might persuade Bridge to access the card reader? I've tried an older SD USB 2 card reader and that isn't detected by the Bridge Photo Downloader either. Thanks
Please, make LABELS and RATINGS work again, as before!1. The colour labels of labeled photographs/images should be visible in the overview row again.2. Ratings ***** should be visible in the pull-down-/drop-down menu if right mouse click is usedIf there is a possibility to change this in the settings, please let me know.Mac Studio 2022 M1 Max, Ventura 13.0.1.Adobe Bridge German language, 14.0.1.137Great, if this could be done before X-Mas (2023). Thanks! 😉
My team uses InDesign to create proposals for our company. We have an InDesign template that we all start with that has commonly used pages and layouts to customize. We are trying to find a process to streamline the proposal creation, including a way to search for proposal pages by tag or keyword (for example, someone created a page about our DEI initiatives but it's not in our main template. They could search "DEI" and find pages created that are tagged with the DEI tag, select it and bring it into their document). I have played around in the Bridge a bit but a lot of what I am seeing is targeted towards photography and photo assets so I am struggling to see how it may apply to our needs. I did notice that if place a file from the bridge into a file, it places as a static image, not an editable design. Is that the only way? If anyone has experience using Bridge as this sort of proposal content management, I'd love to hear how you do it.
Recently updated my Bridge version. However seems that after processing one or two files in Photoshop and saving files as *.psb, returning to Bridge the thumbnails do not show for the newest saved files (psb).
I'm a new MacBook Pro user, installed Bridge, but I don't see my photos. All I see is the Pictures folder, with Photos Library.photoslibray file and when I double click it just opens the Photos app. I have my Security & Privacy Setting, Files and Folders to allow BridgeThank you
Up to Adobe Bridge 2022, AppleScript was supported and "do javascript" could be executed, but since 2023, it no longer works. Is this a spec or a bug?
Hello,When I select a video file in Bridge and hit the Space bar, it will not open in full screen preview. It does work with any other image file. It will open if:1. I select the option via the Menu View>Full Screen Preview2. I select an image file before the video file, hit the space bar so it will go into full screen preview and then press the arrow to go to the next file. Since I'm using Bridge for so many years and use many shortcuts, I didn't notice that all the shortcuts are grayed out in the menu becuase they do work accept for this one with video files. Any idea? I'm on Mac 12.6.3, Bridge 2022 after downgrading from 2023 (becaseu I need the new window option). This was not working for previous versions too, but it didn't bother me until now. Thank you,Shlomit
Hi all Is it possible to change the '~' key back to 'tab' key for maximum view? I can see this option in the keyboard shortcuts. Mulitple windows are back, which is ace, but it's awkward to quickly press the tilda ~ key to maximize the window, and I do this a lot. Cheers Steve
Hi!I hope someone can help me with this issue. I'm using iMac 27" 2017 macOS Big Sur version 11.7 - I just updated it hoping it would help, but I will not update it to the next OS for now.I've read a lot of posts and followed a lot of instructions to solve the problem, but nothing helped. After I open Bridge, it takes between 3 to 5 minutes for it to crash. I have a few versions installed, and they all crash. This was not happening 2 months ago, it started recently. It seems something in my computer is the problem. But how do I find out? I get an error report, which is 67 pages long. I have no clue. Copying below which seems to be most important. If you want me to find some other error info, please let me know. I'm growing very desperate as I really need to use Bridge. Thank you so much in advance!Ava Crashed Thread: 13 Mondo Worker Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)Exce
Hi All,I remember this happening in version 2023. I think it had something to do with the drive being near full? I can see all my external drives in BR. I can accesss 3 of the 5 drives. Why can't I access the other 2? I have a windows. I can use version 2022 and 2023 and they access it fine although 2023 couldn't for a while and I don't recall how I fixed it. I have been using 2022 for the longest time because I don't like the new versions, still can't get used to blue box and I like extra window, but I figure I need to adapt.
I have a Filemaker Database and have been using AppleScript to open a Folder with Bridge forever. For along time this script worked niecly:set openFolder to "app.browseTo( '" & $path & "');"tell application ("Adobe Bridge")activatedo javascript openFolderend tell When "do javascript" stoped working I used this quick fix instread:tell application "Adobe Bridge"activateopen $pathend tell Since Adobe Bridge 2024 this only works if a Bridge window is already open… Can someone point me in the right direction?
Hello AdobeJust tested the new 14.0.1 that I helped you track down the issues for when you connected to my PC. You said that you located the problem and was working it out. - As usual, with the latest releases, it doesn't help much. There is a SLIGHT performance gain when using cursor DOWN. And I mean a SLIGHT. Going UP is still incredible slow. How that is possible is beyond me 🙂 Also:- Page up/down is still horribly slow.- Scrolling with wheel on mouse/wacom pad wheel is still VERY slow.- Selecting photos and moving around is still VERY slow. I said this before. Why dont you just scrap 13-14, and go back to 12 again, and start from there? Can you PLEASE be a bit transparent about what is going on with the Bridge Team and the 13-14 release of Bridge? As of now, many of us cant use 13-14 because of the bad performance that was introduced with 13 and keeps haunting us. There MUST be some major thing that happened? It's the talk of the industry the last months
Bridge has been generating previews for several hoursI have a folder with approx. 4000 images on an external SSD on the Mac Studio. Bridge has been generating previews for several hours now and won't stop. Searching for help at Adobe support has brought nothingWhat can I do?
Congratulations Adobe! You have managed to mess up every single program you have made. Even Bridge is useless piece of crap nowadays, starting around year ago. No matter what computer, Win/Mac I use and how powerful they are. It freezes all the time, so working with it is impossible. The same goes with Indesign, errors that you know, but you wont fix, Illustrator that sometimes rotates sometimes resizes, Premiere that won’t operate on older macs and no way to rollback to old version. Acrobat UI is like a useless toy. Photoshop is only decent program that you have even with those useless old art history brushes etc. You still managed to get you monthly rising payment from us dull sheep. Do you start you mornings by thinking what completely stupid features to make and see how long people are going to pay? You don’t even test these programs because we users do. And yes, your customer service is also a joke. When reporting about same error for years and years in Indesign, procedure s
I've really tried hard to use this version and was an early supporter of the effort, but it's just a complete violation of a UI by my standards. It's possible that the 1/8 wide scrollbars were the final straw, but it could be the Multiple Tab windows, each wasting precious screen real estate with 'Content:' (duh) before the folder name, or the fact that the tabs don't even look like tabs. I got more.... The scaling of anything other than 'miniature' means I cannot see more than one workspace in the header...just a lot of empty space and a slider that should slide further to the right to reveal them. Maybe it's the floating docked windows with no navigation on them that makes things more challenging.Or that the whole app looks like a flat black window with a bunch of text, some of which is in the menu bar (I think), some of which is in the tabs. I mean, it's all I can do anymore to locate the window title bar to move it, without grabb
With the recent iterations of Adobe Bridge, specifically the 2023 and 2024 versions, there has been a significant change in how the software handles thumbnails and previews. In Bridge 2022, both the thumbnail and preview sizes were adjustable according to user preferences. This allowed for a highly customizable user experience, catering to individual needs and workflow requirements. However, in Bridge 2023 and 2024, only the thumbnail size adheres to user-defined settings. When a RAW file is selected, the preview is automatically generated, regardless of the previously set preview size. This change, while potentially beneficial for some, may not suit everyone's workflow.I propose the introduction of separate settings for thumbnails and previews. This would provide users with greater control over their interface, allowing them to optimize their workspace according to their specific needs.Having separate settings for these two features would ensure that Bridge continues to offe
It's adobe bridge 2023. The software crashes as soon as I start it. It would be helpful if you could tell me how to deal with it. A .crash file was generated when the software crashed. I have attached the file converted to txt format. Thank you.
The title says it all. I browsed file types and didn't find a match. So I have to live with folders in SC – or is there a trick I can use?
Displaying metadata for multiple files can be difficult or impossible in thumbnail or list view modes. This is a demo script to show metadata in a floating window, using a listbox control. You could easily swap out other metadata values as needed by editing the source code. I wrote this specifically for my use which is why I used Description and Copyright. Save this script as PLAIN TEXT with a ".jsx" file extension and put into your Bridge Scripts folder. Restart Bridge and it should show up. ------EDIT------Added a Copy button and multiselect, so you can select multiple lines and copy the contents to the system Clipboard. /* Utility Pack Scripts created by David M. I am copy/pasting names provided by a client into thumbnails in Adobe Bridge.Every so often, Bridge refuses to accept a file name and I get the following message:"This file cannot be renamed (my file name) because the name contains characters reserved by the system. Please choose a different name." The only characters in the names are letters (upper and lower case), numbers and underscores. Nothing else. What's more, if I type in the name (instead of pasting it) Bridge accepts the name. Finally, if I reboot Bridge, it accepts the pasted names for a few files and then the problem starts again.Looks like a bug to me. Any suggestions?Thanks.D.
Where does Bridge CC store Favorites?I'm running latest version of Bridge CC and moving from a Windows 7 PC to a Windows 10 PC. Most of my settings etc transfered, but not the Favorites. Before the move I backed up everything in this directory and all sub folders:C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge CC 2017On the new PC I restored everything in that backup. Then used the Creative Cloud app to install Bridge. The app "sync'd" files. But not the Favorites. Thinking perhaps the app over wrote the Favorites I again restored from my backup - same results, I have everything except Favorites. BTW, "everything" includes my Collections, but not the Favorites.I searched both old and new PCs (C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe) and below for the word Favorites and got no hits.I fear I'll have to have both PCs side-by-side and recreate the Faves one-by-one. =:-OThanks in advance,Frank
When previews are being geneated, the Preview window refuses to stay scrolled down to the bottom. It "snaps" back up one row. This is annoying becuase I want to select all images in the view, I can't select the last one because the window keeps scrollign back up. The attached video demonstrates the behavior.
