I get an error message every time I try to open a RAW CR2 file and Camera Raw does not start. I had to install the old version 12.4 to get it to work.

Hello, when I launched the Camera Raw filter through Photoshop a splash screen appeared on my laptop to notify me of all the upgrades. I had Photoshop on a second monitor and because the splash screen couldn't be moved or scrolled I could not access the button to close it causing me to have to restart my system just to move forward on my project. 

The default setting for my cursor in reviewing images in Camera Raw was to zoom in on every click, centered on where my cursor is in the image.  Now I get a Zoom in on the first click, but then it zooms back out, so I have to use key commands to get my desired zoom.  I do a lot of macro photography where I need to blow up one area in a burst-modes series of images to quickly determine which one has the desired element in sharpest focus.  I do not want to set a single zoom setting for toggling back and forth because different images differ in what zoom is needed.  How can I recreate this desired behavior?

Hi there,I am having the same issue. I've read several forums around.So far i tried to:- update displaydriver- uninstall a lot of crap (as it might interfere with the processing)-dis, and enabled GPU processing- tried RAW images, .tiff files, .jp(e)g files. all give "same" artifacts - tried switching bit depth and color spaces preferences in ACRIt cannot be related to storage (the preview also shows artifacts) so i doubt it is a .dng issue as nothing has been saved to file, during preview! (but ofcourse i can be mistaken)custom built win10 pro computer 32GB RAM, everything is processed in RAM as i use a RAMDISK.core-i7 CPU, intel HD530 cardcamera type is Canon5D4 (CR2 RAW files)

The latest few updates have absolutely throttled Camera Raw. Here are just a few gripes I have with it that have destroyed my workflow.In the most recent update there is an annoying "analyzing" message that pops up. It's only up for a brief moment, but when it's up you can't click on anything (such as trying to go to the next photo you want to edit.) Speaking of going to the next photo, I keep accidently clicking the little pop up download button on the thumbnails so I then have to exit out of the Save Options box. Why can't we have the old button back? The worst offense by far is the crop tool. There is a full second delay whenever I use it which results in jittery operation. The amount of time I spend cropping has probably tripled since the older versions. And then there's the ridiculous number of bugs in the program. Like when I go to the next photo and it's randomly zoomed in or pushed to one side of the other, or when I'm using spot removal and I have to go bac

Preciso liberar espaço na minha unidade C e descobri que ... / AppData / Local / CameraRaw / Cache2 está consumindo 15 GB. A maior pasta consumindo espaço no disco C:\.O que são estes arquivos?É possível deletá-los? Não sendo a melhor solução deletá-los, é possível trocar de diretório, para liberar espaço no drive C?Socorro!  

HiI have PS CS6 Extended. I cannot open any of the cr2 files. it shows that I have Version 7, but as I tried to update it - stays the same. The error message: "if you are attempting to open a raw file from a digital camera make sure you have the latest Camera Raw update installed via help > updatesThe error message redirecting me to https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.htmlI did go to an update and it installed some apps like Camera Raw and Bridge, but still no luck opening cr2 files  Please help

Nikon D5100 + D7500 beide Cameras sind hinterlegt, oder auch Handy Dng-Dateien öffnen, auch keine PSD- oder Tif-Dateien, und keine Smart-Objekte.Nicht aus Lightroom, nicht aus Bridge und nicht direkt aus Photoshop.Fehlermeldung: Der Befehl -Camera Raw-Filter- konnte nicht verwendet werden, weil ein Programmfehler aufgetreten ist.Alle Programme sind auf dem aktuellsten Stand.Hoffe immer auf die nächsten Updates, aber so langsam schwindet die Hoffnung.   

I just installed the new Camera Raw this morning, and I have to say it is very nearly unusable. I'm trying to make 14 raw files look a lot like each other. Switching from one to the other is almost impossible. Click on one file, look at it, click on the next file and it takes, I'm not kidding, at least 2-3 seconds for the file to appear in the working window. Is this a bug? How do I go back to what I was using yesterday? Thanks!

I rented a Canon 7d mii, show in raw and now I cannot view the images.  I get a pop up box that says, "Could not complete your request because the file appears to be from a camera model which is not supported by the installed version of Camera Raw."   YIKES!  How can I fix this?    I've installed the lastest updates.   Andrea     {Thread title edited by moderator}

I have some trouble with old FujiFilm raf Raws from the S3 & S5.Only one site is doubleing its resolution, but not the other, like 2000x6000 and not 4000x6000.That ends in an very strange 1:2 format.Can some one help me out with that? Thanks and regards

Like the title says.  Opening image in Photoshop (RAW set to launch.)  When Lightroom is also open, there appears to be a graphics conflict, and lose the top Photoshop menu and must kill it in Task Manager.  Additional info: I occasionally see notices it's shutting down graphics acceleration.  But so far it all seems to be working properly when I close Lightroom first. Major workflow pain. But super resolution is great.

Hello, when i was recently using and correcting my picture with camera raw, there was an active button called: REPAIR. Thanks to this button i get avoid having some spots overburned. Pleas, tell me where is the botton now? I cant find it. I use ps 2020 and ps 2021.

Have a selection of 25 images open in ACR. Want to sync edits from one to the rest. It doesn't appear that Rotation is an edit that can be synced. Am I missing something? 

Is it better to use SR before editing a file? Or is it OK to edit first and enlarge second?

I updated to Camera Raw 13.2 but when I open a raw file (.dng) in Photoshop, it uses Camera Raw 12.4.I'm unable to delete Camera Raw 12.4. When I go to:  /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-ins/CC/File Formats  , I can't find "Camera Raw 12.4", I can only find "Camera Raw.plugin". Any suggestions on what else I could do? Thanks in advance 🙂 

Hi, So when I go to Photoshop and than try to open a raw image in Camera raw, Camera raw opens incorrectly: I can't see the whole interface, like my screen is too small and can't fit the program (I uploaded the screen record so you could understand how does it look like). So I can't work in Camera raw with raw files which I open from Photoshop because I can't see a bunch of buttoms and sections. However, if I open Camera raw from Bridge, it opens correctly and works fine and I can see the whole program interface.Maybe anybody faced this problem and knows how to fix it?Sorry, if I had any grammar mistakes and thanks in advance for helping!

Thanks for the vast number of improvements to Camera Raw in 13.2. Truly, a great leap forward.   When I plug in a memory card, it still doesn't remember the last location that I uploaded to, and tries to upload to a default Pictures path rather than a path (to an external device) that I set.   It still opens the import dialog in basic rather than advanced mode no matter how many times I make the change.   It still doesn't remember which metadata template that I ALWAYS apply to imported images.   It still doesn't let me filter my keyword list to display ONLY the keywords that I have used so that I can remove any template-added keywords that may not apply to that specific image.   Nor does it let me add shortcut keys to apply the most common templates.   It still doesn't let me select exif data to display during either slideshow or review mode.   It still doesn't let me create custom panels with just the properties that are relevant to me depending on t

Hi. I just updated my iMac to Big Sur and updated my LR and Photoshop, but I am having issues with Camera Raw now. When I open a handful of images to batch edit, it no longer shows the selected images- only one at a time. My entire screen is blacked out besides the image, too. I can no longer see what I am doing as far as photo adjustments. In my Creative Cloud, it says Camera Raw is up to date but I have no idea what is happening. I attached an image of my screen to show what is happening. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

Hi folks,  I'm looking for the previous version of Adobe Digital Negative Converter for Mac, namely version 12.1 ; an anyone tell me where I can download it?  Unfortunately, the only version available on the Adobe platform (https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/adobe-dng-converter.html) is version 12.2 and is too recent for my Mac OS X 10.12.6 operating system. Thank you for your help and pleasure,

Hi,Back to working with RAW and wanting to convert CR2 to DNG.Downloaded and installed the laster DNG convertor 13.2.0.738 on Windows 10 64bit. I have noticed that if I set my camera to RAW+JPEG then the converter is unable to process CR2 file and gives "The file appears to be an unsupported raw format". If I use just RAW on the camera, converter is able to process. RawTherapee is able to open both image file types. Any suggestions, or links where I can find/try an older version of the convertor? I'm using Photoshop CS6 on an iMac. When trying to open NEF files I'll get an error message that asks me to install the latest version of CameraRaw from some adobe website. After I installed CameraRaw 10.5, the installer told me that the installation was sucessful, and yet Photoshop CS6 still fails to open up NEF files transferred from my Nikon D850 (adobe claims that versions of CameraRaw 9.12 or later should be fine). On the other hand, Photoshop CS6 opens DNG files created from my Nikon D750 with CameraRaw 7.0. Does anyone know what's going on here? Do I have to convert NEF files to DNG format? If no, how do I uninstall CameraRaw 10.5?     {Thread title edited by moderator}

The preview window for "enhance" is completely black.  It does not show any preview.  The Enhance option does produce an output file but I cannot see any preview before I create the file.  I'm using the latest macbook pro with 64gb memory and radeon 5600M graphics.  Anyone else experienced this?
