Questions

I'm developing in Captivate 9.  Rather than use the provided Captivate images I"m using my own.  They have been edited in Photoshop to duplicate images found in Captivate characters but when I preview the  slide the image is completely covered in red.  It worked as advertised prior to my computer being re-imaged but doesn't now.  Any ideas to help resolve this?  

Hi All I know this has been asked before and I have tried all the fixes suggested, I'm hoping someone may have a new idea. When I click Video Demo to create Captivate just shuts down:- I have tried rebooting- I’ve updated the software- I’ve tried running while all other programmes are closed- I’ve tried running as an admin- I don't have a webcam or any webcam drivers installed This has only just started and has been fine for the last 3 months, nothing has changed with my setup so I'm not sure why this has suddently started. Any help would be appreicated!Natasha

Hello,I'm trying to control three OAM animations within Captivate and so far all examples are using shapes as buttons.  I need to use actual buttons and coming up empty.  Any guru out there have any ideas?Thank you so much!  

Still fairly new to Captivate and watching through various tutorials, so apologies if this is a super obvious fix and I just haven't gotten to that video yet. So. I’m struggling quite a bit with fluid boxes and positioning. I'm primarily working with interactive video, using simple button navigation to jump between slides. Buttons don’t necessarily need to stay in the exact position, as I realize this defeats the purpose of have a responsive design, but I wondering if it’s possible to at least stay within the “frame” of the video. For example, here's how a rough demo looks on the desktop view, with a resolution of 1600 x 900: And here's how it looks when previewing a smaller viewport: The buttons just slide to the middle of the screen and it looks absolutely ridiculous. I've tried various combinations of horizontal and vertical boxes, percentage vs exact pixel, but can't figure out how to keep it reasonably positioned, if that level of control is even possible.&nbsp

Try as I might, I don't seem to see Presenter in creative cloud...I thought everything was moving to CC?Using it as a student, adding more to my confusion.Dennis

I am using Adobe Captivate 2019 and I am facing issue while using Learning interactions in my slides. Preview seems to be ok but when I publish it, it didn't seem to work properly. Sometimes it does not appear after taking a long loading time or even if it appears, it loses its alignment.Is someone else is also facing the same issue?Can anyone help me in this regard? Thanks,Deepak

I am facing issue while using customizing the Quiz Result slide.I changed the background color, font, font size, and font color. Everything seemed ok in the output except the font color that I sat to black. I am attaching the screenshots for reference.Can anyone help me in this regard? 

Is there anywhere/anyway that I can download or access the old (legacy) tutorials for elearning suite 2.5? Whenever I start an app (eg captivate 5.5) the welcome screen comes up with a link to the tutorials, but these are not available on Adobe site anymore - it goes straight to 2019/2020 releases. The old tutorials *must* be sitting on a drive somewhere. PLEASE is it possible to get access or download the old tutorials for the whole eLearning suite 2.5??? PLEASE!!! Thanks.

I'm using an HTML5 Aniimation object to execute code that plays audio files. This works fine in CP HTML5 Preview but once loaded to the server, there is no audio - as if the HTML5 Animation is not recognized, or accepted. Are there restrictions around using HTML5 Animation, related, for instance, to secure sites?How can I diagnose what's wrong? The worst-case scenario is that I'll have to rethink how to handle hundreds of audio files acrross multiple projects. Dave from TLC Design provided the original code and has been very helpful in getting me past some earlier issues. But if anyone else, as well, has ideas about what I should do, I'd be very grateful. Charlie

So whenever I insert a shape or button on a blank slide, it inserts properly, However whenever I have my slide divided into fluid boxes and try to move my shape or buttons around, they immediately take the shape and size of the fluid box. How do I move my shape, icons, and buttons freely even with fluid boxes?

Maybe I am missing the option, but I do not see the option to change the point value of a quiz question anymore. It used to be in Quiz Properties but I am no longer seeing it. Did this move somewhere else?

Hopefully this is not weird and there's a quick fix, but basically, for a couple of my slides, the audio almost has like an echo. It's not the audio file iteslf, I've tested it many times. It seems as if there's a duplicate audio file playing about a 1/10th of a second behind the first audio. There's of course only 1 audio file per slide, and when I go to the audio manager, only one audio file is listed for each slide with no audio attached to objects. Any idea what may be going on?

Sometimes I publish a project to update an existing project and copy the files to the server but when I go to view it I see the previous Captivate project.  I understand that the browser is accessing the previous captivate project in the browser's cache.  If I clear the browser cache then I see the updated Captivate course.   I know to clear the browser cache but how can I force clearing the cache for my users assuring they always see the current Captivate Project?Thanks for your help with this. -Steve Lewis

Keep receiving the following error message when trying to publish a project. Could Not Copy Folder to <C:\Users\cp6669\Desktop\AVI-17 Avionics Phase Review III \assets>This is the first time trying to publish this project. 

I need to make a certificate for the end of the class that will put in the current date and student name automatically.  I've been round and round trying to figure something out. The certificate widget is almost useless.  It won't let me change anything and just doesn't fit our needs at all.The student needs to print a hard copy when done.Any ideas?thanks

Images come on the screen in preview, but not when published on one slide.  On enter, I changed it to continue, and I moved the button's pause to the end of the slide.  I cleaned the cookies from my browser.

Hi there,I have a few interactive videos with overlaying knowledge check question slides.  The knowledge check slide interupts the video which is what I want but once the question is answered and the video starts playing again a "loading" message comes up.  If it lasts too long the next knowledge check question doesn't come up at the right time but finally comes up when the "loading" message goes away.  Obviously this isn't going to work as it messes up the timing of these other overlays.Any suggestions?Thanks,Dale

Hi everyone, i have a button in my masterslide which pauses my project and activates a group of disquised shapes and textboxesin my Project, independent which slide that you are on. Button funtions well until the point of resuming. The problem is, project resumes anywhere i click. What i want to do is resume the project by clicking only a specific button... Does anyone have any idea?? thx,  

Hi everyone, Actually, what i have, is a general problem with accessibility. So i will have a lot of questions on this matter. My first question is about the compatibility of accessibility and master slides. According to what i have learned until this point, accessibility should be built again for each interactive object from the begining. So if i want to make my project accessible, i need to repeat each steps for each interactive element i have... So my question is; Do you know any other, less time consuming, way to built accessibility in to your interactive elements (Navigation, play/stop). A method like embedding every element into "master slide", or letting element continue till the end of the project would be apperciated, but like i said before, in my search, i could not reach such a solution...  at least for now. wish u a nice weekend 😃

I have a powerpoint that I am going to convert into Captivate 2019.  Once converted can i go back and add voice over to the entire project?  If so how?Thanks

I have created a course with six modules, which all have a short quiz at the end. When previewing the project with the project manager, the quiz slides didn't allow us to move forward in the course preview (and neither did the play bar). I had to go in and remove the quiz slides and results slides in order to showcase the whole course for my manager.Now that I attempt to work on the quizzes, I'm able to insert question slides but not the results slides I wish to appear at the end of each short quiz.  Could this be a global quiz setting I should change? Is there a way I can reset the quizzes in the course and start from the beginning (with results slides being displayed)?I realise this is probably 101 stuff for all you veteran Captivate users but please bear with me...I'm a newbie to Captivate. Hi, I want to add 4 videos in my project at different places. Each video is about 6 to 7 minutes long. Each video file is over 30mb. What is the best way to add videos to the project to keep the total file size to the minimum? Will it be ok if I embed it from my computer into the project or should I use a media streaming service. Which one is better. Any advice on media streaming service? I am new to Captivate.

I need to know if it is possible to see in a mobile the captivate SCORM that have been  published in LMS. 

In the Table of Contents is it possible to change the text that says "Slide Title" to something else?Thanks.
