Hi There,I am working on SCORM content. It works well on all browsers on desktop but it won't play sound on iPhone. It gives an error of  "Translation resource NaN" when I close the error... there is no sound on iPhone. I would like to ask if anyone has any solution for this problem? thanks in advance!

I have a quiz using the 'Submit All' function. If a learner does not achieve the pass mark in a quiz, clicking the retake button erases all of the learners answers and the learner then has to retake whole quiz, Is there any possible way to retain the given answers so that the learner can just re-attempt the questions they got worng?

I use avatars in my projects frequently. I've recently upgraded to Captivate 2019 and none of my characters are showing available. I've tried using the solution here: https://helpx.adobe.com/captivate/kb/captivate-2019-update-2-faq.html but that did not work. My 11_0 folder does not have an images subfolder, only the business, medicine, casual, etc, folders, and moving those to the Assets folder for 11_5 did nothing. I also tried the solution here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/captivate/problem-downloading-assets-in-new-11-5-0-version/td-p/10505584?page=1 but that does not work. I don't have this available to me: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 2019 x64\utils\CleanPreferencesWin.bat ; the Adobe folder does not have an Adobe Captivate 2019 x64 subfolder even when I view hidden files.  I'm a complete loss right now and I'm very frustrated. Please help, thnx.

I'm sorry, but Captivate is RUBBISH for doing video demos. If I had a pound for everytime it has crashed or corrupted a project I could retire. I've just lost over an hour's work (again) because I committed the cardinal sin of adding a highlighting box and now the document just freezes the program completely. At other times, it loses the video, or relabels it as a highliting box, or adds rows UNDERNEATH it on the timeline, or suddenly won't allow any editing on anything that inhabits the row immediately above the video. Seriously guys - I'm a huge fan of other Adobe products, but this is worse than the most flaky freeware I've ever had the misfortune to use. Not fit for purpose is an understatement.

I have multiple slides each with the exact same set of buttons, in the exat same positions.    The correct button will send the user to the next slide.  The incorrect buttons apply a zoom out/fade out effect when clicked.  For each of the incorrect buttons the option to continue after effect is NOT checked.  There is no fade in or out transitions on any buttons.  For some reason, when each slide transitions to the next, all the incorrect buttons (the ones with the applied effect) appear to 'blink' during the transition, making it obvious to a careful observer what the correct answer on the next slide will be.  Any thoughts as to why this might be happening?

Hello,Anyone has an idea how to prevent learners from continuing to the "Congratultions" last slide if they fail a quiz? I have already used Javascirpt to stop learners from advancing using the progress bar as that visually has to remain and I hide the Continue button under the Retake Quiz button. The loophole I found was pressing the Play button which also need to remain. Thanks. (Captivate 2019 Release  11.5.1.499)

Hi everyone! I'm using the most current Captivate (11.5) on Windows 10. My client wants a "replay" button to trigger if the user answers a Knowledge check incorrectly. Right now I have the "Replay Slide" button on the slide, and it's set to "Jump To" the relevant slide if clicked. It's currently on the slide all the time. I noticed that "On Success" for the slide I can execute Javascript, but I'm a novice in this area. Is there a way to program commands so that depending on whether the user answered right or wrong, different things happen? If they answer right, they can continue, but if they answer wrong the "Replay Slide" button appears so they can go back and review the content. Any help is appreciated!

Hi, I bought Adobe Captivate. At the end of the installation I entered the serial number but it is shown on the screen that the number is not valid. What should I do?Thank you

We have developed a course using Adobe Captivate 19 v11.5.1.499, but later we tried to open it in v11.0.1.266 and we are unable to open it, we have requested from client the source to be open in v11.0.1.266.

We're currently running Captivate on a Server 2012 R2 VM (with access to the app limited it to a single person). We want to upgrade it to Server 2019 (for Reasons), but I'm trying to verify if the handful of applications installed on this server are compatible with Server 2019. However, Captivate doesn't actually mention any Server OS compatibility at all, just Win7, Win8.1, and Win10. In theory since Win10 and Server 2019 are so similar it SHOULD work, but I want to verify before I run the in-place-upgrade. Does anyone know?

Hi, I can't change color of "Correct Caption" and "Incorrect Caption" for quizzes. They remain black and grey respectively.  I'm able to for other quiz parts like "Answers/FIB Text". I'm on Captivate (2019 release).

I'm preparing several courses for the transition from SWF to HTML5. For that purpose, I'm using the HTML5 Tracker dialog to identify features that rely on Flash so that I can reprogram them to use HTML5 features. In a project, HTML5 Tracker is complaining about unsupported slide objects on a number of slides with the message "Slide Transition (Use No Transition). These transitions are associated with shapes, and are simply set to "fade in/fade out", or in some cases, "fade in only" I'm confused about a couple of things here:1. I'm getting this message in regard to applying these transitions to shapes on several slides; however, I use the exact same feature on other slides, and get to warning about them.2. I'm publishing to HTML5 and in the result, when posted out on our LMS, the transitions seem to work JUST FINE!Given the fact that everything's still basically working, it appears that I can just ignore the warning. Dear All,I have one question for you... Is there posibility to do the next in Adobe Captivate?I'll be short as I can... Quiz should help to identify level (wiht feedback) of knowing langauge (A, B, C level). There are five questions for each level (5 for A, 5 for B, 5 for C). My question is next... Is there posibility to make feedback (textual: You reached A level... You reached B level... You reached C level) by examining percentage for each of them... For example, someone will reach B level feedback only if he does 80% of A level; someone will reach C level only if he does 80% of A level questions, ad 80% of B level question. So, the quiz should calculate level according to correct answers of each level).  Thank you in advance!Sale

Hi is it possible to show or hide objects in captivating based on the current frame number through advanced actions? For example, I want to create an advance action that shows an object on stage when the play head reaches frame number 490,

I have a graphic and button on a slide.  When the button is pushed it is suppose to show a group of graphics spread out on the timeline to simulate a screen being initialized and showing a sequence of screens.When I go to preview next 5 slides the original graphic doesn't show, so I can't press the button to see if the grouped graphics will appear and work.Thanks in advance.Susan

I am trying to run my content on SABA 5.3 , After exiting the content the lms displays success status as Pass or Fail where it should show Unknown. My content does not contain any quiz, so on which basis lms is calculating the success status.

Hi everyone! So I just wanted to publish an old project as HTML5/SWF, but I cannot open it. Is there any way to recover a shared .cptx file? Although I have the assets (fonts, photos and audio clips), but it is apparently corrupted. I suspect it has something to do with the cache? I tried looking for answers here, I found people recommending dcache, but the links to the downloads are either broken or just for Windows OS. Please help me, thank you! 

Dear community, I have created a popup (group of text-image-closebutton) that is first invisible on the slide.When clicking on a button, the popup appears. I've used the "stop slide audio" option of the button as I don't want the audio to be played when the popup appears.My pb now is that, when using the closebutton of the popup to hide the popup again, the slide resumes but not the audio. What am I doing wrong?I am using Captivate 2019. Thanks! Céline

Hello everyone, I'm working for a tribal agency and was tasked to develop/hire some online training. I'm just getting started with this, so I'm a total newbie. Tribal agencies fall under federal law and I'm learning that online training developed in Captivate can be difficult to make 508 compliant, especially since federal law is more strict than state law (I worked for a state agency before). Now, our state uses only Adobe products, so I know we want to avoid paying for another product. Do you have any tips? In my previous state agency we would create our online training without much regard for accessibility in Captivate and then provide an accessible PDF from scratch to go along with the course. Would that still be possible by federal law? Are there people here in this forum who specialize in creating online training courses in Captivate for federal agencies? 

Hi All,  Hoping someone can shine some light on this.  I am using a Macbook Air 2018 and running the Catalina OS (Version 10.15.2).  When I try to add text animation Captivate stops responding and i have to force quit the programme.  Anyone got any ideas why this is happening or a work around?  Thanks in advance. 

I work at a large corporation and we are very locked down by our IT and unable to run Captivate as Administrator. All of the responses in regards to video/sofware simulation mention that this is required. Is there no other work around to improve the screen capture experience (and decrease the freezing)?  Thank you!

Is there a way to bulk delete advanced actions?  If not from the dialogue / ui, is there a file where the advanced actions are stored where I can just go in with an editor and delete them?  There are a lot of them and doing them one by one over many projects is too time consuming. If not, can I request this feature?

My project has two pertinent slides. One includes buttons that execute Advanced Actions, and the other slide includes a number of objects including text, shapes, and clickboxes. Several Advanced Actions control a lot of logic that refreshes and changes the main slide.  Clicking button A executes an Advanced Action to jump to the main slide, sets some variable values, and shows or hides about a dozen or so objects. But in HTML preview, or when launching from a web server, nothing happens when I click button A. In regular non-HTML preview, everything works fine. Is it possible that some complexity in the Advanced Actions are causing a problem?What should I check in my browser settings - Chrome especially?Testing in Firefox also did not work. Any thoughts most appreciated. -- Charlie   

Hello, I am new using Adobe Captivate and have looked everywhere for videos/articles to help recreate a screen capture/video demo with cutomized background similar to the one linked below. I have successfully brought my screen capture video into a project file in Captivate and added a title caption. However, when I expored to my PC, the title wasn't exported, only the screen capture and talking head. Can anyway provide workflow tips to create a similar setup in Captivate?
