Hi,How can I have a feedback box on a slide that sends the captured text as an email to myself?

Hi All, Why am I getting this error? Is there no way to import videos with the PowerPoint? I'm using .PPTX with O365. My issue is that my videos themselves have a lot of animation (appear, play, dissapear) that I want to preserve.

I make the stage background clear in Animate, publish as an OAM package to place into Captivate and when I test, the background is white instead. I posted in the Animate community first and someone suggested that I post here instead: Need Animate Clear Background in Captivate 

Hi Experts,I am trying to change the "default labels" for incorrect message for my existing Quiz slides. However, it does not get reflected. Is there a way I can change, e.g., the default label for incorrect message from "...press Y to continue" to "xyz" for my existing quiz slide and get that reflected.Regards,Roshni

Hello!Is it possible to output a quiz score using an advanced action or a variable? I would like to have a quiz score assigned on slide entry.Backstory: Our funky LMS only accepts that a course is 'complete' when it outputs a score. We have always allowed users to navigate a course using the TOC, so we do not want to require them to click on a button to ouput a quiz score.

I have a screen simulation where an object flashes until the user clicks a button.  We hope they'll do that pretty quickly but in case they don't we need it to continue flashing until they do.  Any ideas will be appreciated.  Can this be done with an advanced action?Thanks in advance,Susan

I am running Captivate 2017, non-responsive project. When setting up CC to 100% width across my project and publishing as HTML...checking scalable HTML content... the closed captions do not show up at all when viewing my course in Chrome. It seems to work in IE. This was never an issue in version 9. Can someone else test and verify this is a bug? Thanks

I have an existing project that I need to add software demo slides to.  I record the demo and it all looks great.  When I copy/paste those slides into the existing project, they become corrupted.  I cannot copy/paste just the background because I need the mouse movement.  Both projects have the same theme.I have been doing this for 2 years with no problem.  Help please!!

Hi, I imported a PowerPoint with automatic slide transitions. When I add a button to a slide, it breaks the slide transition by pausing the slide/timeline. How do I stop that from happening?

If I'm working in 2017 what can I use for the While feature that is in the 2019 Advanced Action Window?

I made a simple HTML5 Animation.  When I bring it in as an OAM file all I get is a blank whate screen.I'm new to Animate and haven't inserted HTML 5 animations before so its probably my fault.  

Requesting help! I have quiz question slides distributed across my Captivate 10 project. The reason for making them quiz slides instead of KC slides was that I am scoring the learner on how they perform throughout the course and I am displaying the final score at the end of the course. I have disabled "skip" and "quiz review" options and I have allowed single attempt at the quizzes.  The issue I am facing is that, when a learner revisits the course and comes across the first quiz slide (on their second visit) they are not able to proceed further from that point onwards to the remaining content. Is there a way to display the "Skip" button only after the first attempt so that they are not stuck on the quiz slide on revisiting the course? Thanks in advance for any suggestion.I do not want learners to re-attempt the quiz on revisiting the course. I just want them to be able to navigate forward to other content placed after the quiz slide.

Sorry for the simple questions but it's been several years since I've worked with Captivate and I guess I'm a noob again. That said......Can the TOC be removed from the Navigation bar?  I can't seem to find a toggle for this.   And why is the position window greyed out for this layout?  I want the buttons to be moved to the far right but can't figure out how this is done.     

I have three text entry boxes on one slide, with one single button to "Submit Answers". On submit answer the variable is assigned to return the specified values on the next slide in three separate text captions where in addition to the learner's answers, rationale and correct answers are provided. For example, text entry box one is assigned Var_1 and is supposed(?) to return a maximum of 250 characters to $$Var_1$$ on slide following. Same with Var_2 and Var_3 (except Var_3 is numeric, and only one number allowed - not really an issue. (Each of the two variables in question have their own text caption capture on the next slide.) However, if I were to respond (for example) in text entry box one (Var_1) with "it is time for all good men to come to the aid of their country" and in text entry box two (Var_1) the same, the values returned on the next slide are "it is time for all good men to come to the aid of their". I am trying to build a project in Captivate 9 that will work with screen readers and will play in HTML5 only.I am setting up accessibility on all pages and have enabled accessibility in the settings, but everytime I test the build I am unable to activate any buttons or get the reader to read any text on the screen. I can tab through the buttons but cannot activate them and the only text that is read is in the slide notes, and that isn't repeated. Please help, I need to ensure full accessibility for my project but can't seem to get even the basic elements to work.

Hi guys, I'm very new to VR editing - and I'd like hotpots to pop up whilst the video continues to play so that it is the users choice whether they select the hotspot or not. Once they select the hotspot I would like the video to pause. All that happens is the video gets paused when the hotspot pops up even though I have selected "continue playing the project". Please can you someone help me figure out how to do this? 🙂 

There must be a way to provide customized feedback  to individual questions in Captivate 2019. I just can't figure it out. Saw a vidoe that uses Advanced Answer Option but I don't see that in my version.

Since smartshapes don't work as drag-and-drop sources when you export a scalable HTML project (just figured this out after a month of tweaking), I'm trying to use colored captions as drag sources. However, when I create custom captions to reflect the colors of my project theme colors, there's a wide transparent margin outside the colored caption itself. I've put a contrasting color around the edge of my custom caption, as websites suggest, which serves as the transparent color of the caption. However, the main color should fill the entire text caption. I'm not sure why it's doing this. Is there an easier way to have a colored block of text that can serve as a drag source? Hi captivators!  I am having all manner of problems trying to figure out how to publish using Captivate 2019.  I have used Captivate 9 previously, where I would pubish to a zip and could share the zip file through one drive so my stakeholders could review materials before I uploaded to an LMS.I try and publish with 2019 - publish - publish to computer - and try and zip the file I cannot run the index.scrom within so I can share with colleagues so that they can see what I have created. What am I doing wrong please?  If I do not zip the file, can I even upload to an LMS? Really confused so would appreciate any help from an expert 🙂

Hi,It's been awhile since I've worked with Captivate so sorry in advance if this is a dumb question.  I see items in the library that I don't see in the timeline view, and want to know if these items (videos) are being used somewhere in the presentation or not. If there a 'find in course' option that I can determine whether a file (an FLV and an MP4) are being used somewhere in the course that I'm not seeing?  A "use count" or "location in course" or something like that? Thanks very much for the direction!Joe

I have a course with a large number of knowledge checks.  On some of the KCs, the text for the Submit button is centered, for others is it left-aligned.  I don't see any style options that will allow me to set the alignment.  I need them all centered.Grateful for any responses!

We have a series of projects that have SWF Animations. Is there an easy way to convert the SWF Animations to something HTML5 compliant?

I use eLearning Suite6.1.Until now, after creating the teaching materials, it was output in swf format.I want to change it to HTML5 format.I implemented it with the support procedure, but the animation created with ppt does not work.Please tell me the output procedure of HTML5 format.

We are building an assessment that requires students to respond to prompts by recording their voice responses.  Is this supported in Captivate?  We are trying to choose the platform fro developing the assessment.
