Hi,I have came across a strange situation where I am unable to jump back or move behind to a previous particular slide.On my project, I have added a custom navigation bar on slide 3 which has Menu, CC, Volume, Play/Pause and Back-Next buttons set to continue playing for the rest of the project.Now when i try to assign a button to jump back to slide 5 from slide 10, it is only going back to slide 9. I have tried Go to the slide last visited, Jump to slide <slide#>, also used advanced where i am checking if a particular variable value is 1 then it should jump back to the respective slide.  I tried to view the branching view to understand the linkage of the slides but the view does not show the complete navigation for all the slides.I have around 50 slides, slides 6 to 8 i have hidden. Slides 13 to rest appears as unlinked although all of them have their previous and next buttons set to move back and ahead one slide.Here's the quiz settings page.I disabled the Branch Aware chec

I am creating a lesson in Captivate 2017 and am having an issue with using multi slide synchronised videos.The issue is that a still from the video on the previous slide flashes up on the beginning of the next slide before the new video begins.I have tried this with using both options "Modify Slide duration to accommodate video" and "Distribute across slides". with the later option I set the from and to slide as the same slide number.This doesn't happen in event videos but I need the video to pause when the audio (imported to the slide) pauses.Has anyone else come across this issue?

Ahoy!I have multiple Captivate projects with shapes and text superimposed on imported videos.  I should note that these projects solicit user input.When exported as SWF, the video and superimposed items maintain proper alignment.My problem is with the HTML5 format.During the export process, Adobe Media Converter automatically reduces the video resolution from 758 x 504 to 320 x 240, resulting in misalignment of the video and superimposed items.I have 81 projects that I would like to export in the HTML5 format, without too much manual intervention on each project.What can I do?[:-)] Mark

I was able to publish last week with no problem. Go in on Monday and I get this error every time I attempt to do anything with Adobe Presenter. I am using Presenter version 11.1 and PowerPoint 365. I have uninstalled Presenter and reinstalled it to no avail. Also emailed our Adobe support contact with no answer as of right now.

Hi,I have created a file using captivate 9 and used the option Send for shared review. Incidentally, I sent it to myself and wanted to provide review comments on the crev file generated. The file was working just fine when viewed in reviewer. However, I realised that I wasn't able to delete a comment that I had provided earlier. Am able to click the circle box for comments, and it's not working when I click delete. Nor am able to see any button that helps in deleting the comment I provided.Is there some permission that I need to define for myself so that I can delete the comments as I wish to? And let me know of the permissions I need to set for others too. Pls let me know.

In Adobe Captivate 8 if you use the feature "Send for Shared Review" and select the option "Send Email" and "Attach Adobe Captivate Reviewer" the end result is a link generated in the email to download Adobe Captivate Reviewer (doesn't attach it as indicated). As noted in the email Adobe Captivate 8 Reviewer is REQUIRED to review the file. No big deal there is a link to it in the email : the download link - http://www.adobe.com/go/cp8.0_reviewerapp Unfortunately that link redirects to another page http://blogs.adobe.com/captivate/captivate-6-review-app and on that page there is no Adobe Captivate 8 Reviewer link to download. *screenshot of the page below* Anyone know the correct link location to download Adobe Captivate 8 Reviewer? I have recently updated to Captivate 8 and am now interested in using the Captivate Reviewer functionality. The documentation available for this function doesn't seem to match the actual features available in the application. I am not able to get this function to work. I am getting errors when trying to create the shared files.I have not been able to find any help in the Adobe site's resources.

Hi.Thanks to some of the contributions of experts in the forum, I have been able to eliminate in the project the focus, initial play, including the instruction (*: aten {    scheme: 0;    }But now the poster image appears to me displaced vertically, it is positioned above. In which part of the file "CPLibraryAll" I can control the height of the poster.Thank you

I am using Captivate 2019. I have a button that directs the learner to a URL by using JavaScript in an Advanced action along with a 3 second delay and an Exit to the module. When I preview the course in an HTML browser or publish and play, an About Blank screen comes up in addition to the new window for the URL. How can I get rid of the extra screen?

When the person passes the quiz at the end of the course how do I generate a course completion certificate?

I'm creating an assessment from a Blank Project, working on Captivate 2019.  I add a Question slide e.g. True/False question slide.  I click on Media, Image, and it imports the image.  BUT the image is behind all the other question objects on the slide.  How do I bring the image to the "front".  I would like to add image to some of my questions, illustrating on what the true/false question refer to.  Please help me.

i can't find a decent answer on how to display a captivate project in full screen on html browser. I need to solve this for captivate and captivate prime. The full screen button in prime still doesnt make the project full screen.. I.m disappointed to see that most of the members that have asked this question here has a "unsolved status " ??Where is the adobe support on this ??

Hello all,I am creating a quiz and I wish to direct the student to content in Confluence. I know I can provide a URL to the content – clicking the link opens a new browser tab, but is it possible to show content inline (within the Captivate course frame) or as a pop-up? I suppose this question is more related to asking if there is any way to interface between Captivate and Confluence content, in order to allow Captivate lessons to include dynamic content. Rather than requiring editing and publishing every time content is changed. In other words, I would like to have a "window" to constantly changing Confluence pages, shown within the Captivate lesson. Is this possible?Thank you.

Hello all,I just completed a POC for a Captivate Training project proposal.My manager asked a key question... how can SME collaborate on the Captivate content? He suggested that it is unrealistic that I should be the sole author of content. Is there a way that any number of SMEs can directly edit Captivate text, from a web interface, without needing to own the Captivate tool?Thanks

Hello,I am creating a course using Fluid Boxes.On Desktop, I am dividing one row into two columns horizontally: 1st column is 30% of screen and second column is 70% of screen.This layout on Mobile appears vertically as: 1st column 50% and second column 50%.Can we adjust the mobile layout so as it appears 30% and 70% in mobile as well?Do we have any such setting?

Good day! For some reason in Captivate, the values of variables obtained as a result of passing interactions are not calculated. How do i solve this problem а=a+Jpdy_FScore1 in Advanced Action. However, for some reason, the initial value of the variable is assigned, and not the root value.How to fix this error

Hello,I'm pretty familiar with advanced actions, but I have a problem I can't seem to figure out! I have advanced actions applied to a number of buttons on each slide of my course - one opens a glossary, another opens a resources menu, another opens a help menu, etc.  The way I have it set up, I've added the cpCmndPause variable when you open each menu, and the cpCmndResume variable to the button which closes each respective menu.  Additionally, on many of my slides, I have buttons that the user needs to click to advanced to the subsequent slides.  These buttons are set to pause at the end of the slide.  Lastly, in the Resources menu, I have a number of buttons that are set to open PDFs in a new window with the Continue playing the project checkbox unchecked.What I've found, is that when the slide reaches the end and pauses, if I open any of these menus and click any button within, the project immediately jumps forward to the next slide.  I can understand that

Scenario-Simulation of a form fill interaction. User is instructed to fill 5 different fields pressing the Tab key to move between each item.I set up the text box with the tab key as the shortcut, deleted the automatically provided click box and provide onscreen directions on what to type.Running the program in Preview mode within CP "works" but the Tab key is mapped to the rewind button.Takes two hits on the Tab key to make this workIf I publish this the program halts at the first time the Tab key is used. I now must quit in order to get back the control.Comments? Is there a better way to simulation a form fill interaction?Thanks

When I publish my course to HTML5 with Reporting turned OFF my published course plays as expected. However, when I turn Reporting ON (SCORM 1.2) and play the course in IE11 and Chome 39 from the LMS, the course starts out with a white screen and the playbar. The course does not play until the user clicks the 'play' button. How can I control 'auto-play' for SCORM packaged courses? I am using Captivate 8.

Hi guys,Just a question if I may...I am building a responsive e-learning module and I have encountered this minor problem when I publish.I have attached an image to show you what I mean. Now my question is, how do I get rid of these symbols(highlighted in RED)?I know when you click these, you see a large version of the text appear that fills the screen for the benefit of mobile devices,BUT, I just want to remove these.Thanks in advance

Hi, I have a course where the content page comprises smart shapes as buttons.  Disabled at entry via Advanced action on welcome page and unlocked as the learner progresses.  The problem.  When learners reenter the course they don't pass the Advanced action so all smart shapes on content page are unlocked.  Meaning they can skip anywhere in the course.  Any idea how I could resolve this?Cheers,Alex

Dear allI set specifications for a custom layout in Captivate 2019, and since then the original Desktop option in the layout preview drop down menu has disappeared. I searched for a solution in the forums and online. Various solutions were offered but none have worked. I am using Win 10 with the latest, updated, version of Captivate 2019. Solutions already tried include the usual switch-it-off-and-on; delete the custom option I created; clear the cache by clicking on the batch file "CleanPreferencesWin.bat" in the Utils folder in the Captivate program files (see screen shot);checking the "DeviceList.xml" file in the Captivate program folder which after all changes still shows "Desktop" as an option although it does not show in the options in the program (see screenshots);and, shutting down Captivate and restarting my computer after each step. You can see in the screenshot that "Desktop" is still missing as an option. The question is how do I recover the layout preview menu to its origi

Hello all,As a former Captivate course designer (not since 2004 and the days of custom Flash add-ons), I am back and I expect that I'm going to be slightly bewildered by how much has changed in fifteen years. I need to quickly ramp up my skills in order to build a course template and begin creating content.Can anyone recommend training material, beginning with an intro to more advanced custom template building?I noticed that Lynda's course content is pretty sparse for Captivate 2019 training. Is Captivate 2017 training still relevant? I'm not certain about the differences between the two versions.I prefer video training b/c it allows faster absorption, but I am also interested in books that I can purchase. Thank you so much,Shawn
