Hi,I have created a course using Captivate 2017. It has three 720p videos. When I preview the course in HTML5 Browser, it plays the videos fine. But, when I play the course on SCORM cloud, the videos take a very long time to load; After the video seems to have loaded, it gets stuck at the beginning. I tried a couple of thingsCreated a new project with a small (900KB) video; Changed the event video into multi slide video. Neither works. Has anyone else experienced the same issue and come up with a solution?

Just started looking at Captivate Prime as a possible training solution. Just having a bit of difficulty understanding how Captivate & Captivate Prime interact. Would it be correct to say that Captivate is an application where one can construct learning material and Captivate Prime is more or less a "wrapper" where you can utilize Captivate material to set up a more robust learning experience with users, groups, catalogs, skills, reports, etc. etc.??

I apologise if this is a typical newbie question but I'm having issues with the default playbar stopping all slides at 2 seconds.I realise the buttons on my Master Slide playbar are responsible for this but I cannot work out an elegant solution that effectively removes the pause... Sure, I could drag out the length of these master template buttons to match the 30 second long slide but then what if I create another slide from this master that is only 10 seconds long?Surely a straightforward simple technique I'm missing?Many thanks.

Hi,I produce CBT content (a mixture or Captivate v9.0 recordings and imported PowerPoint) and send that to a third party to publish via a web server.We successfully published a lot of content but have recently had issues publishing the latest content and we cannot diagnose why.It is the PowerPoint element that does not publish correctly. Hello,We are trying to pause a slide until a user rolls over a specific area without clicking. At that point we would like to use a state to show a drop-down menu and play audio. The audio would then need to continue through the end of the slide and not stop if the user moves the cursor out of the state boundary. We are using Captivate 2019 and will be publishing in HTML so we would be unable to use a rollover slidelet. All help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Is there a way to affect the margins of the reset button? I attached an image below. But basically, I want the text centered within the box, but it appears that margin spacing is set causing the text to be aligned at the top. Is there a way to override that?

I'm using Adobe Captivate 2019 for the Mac (Mojave). I've hooked up my iPhone X to the Mac and am attempting to use the Device Demo feature to record a mobile app for training.  Unfortunately, a message is displayed "Device Not Connected.  Check if the device is connected and unlocked".  It's hooked up properly with the usual white Apple cable and it's unlocked.  Is there something else I need to do or check in order to get the iPhone connected? 

Hi folks,I mainly produce software sims for the software company that I work for. My template records sims in the Training mode, and all interactions have a Smart Object Text Caption, a highlight box, and the non-visible click box. I have used this template for over a year, and on the timeline, the Text Caption and highlight are fade-in only and 3 seconds in duration. The click box is 1.5 seconds in duration, and all left are left justified.I was tweaking the template and from the Preferences dialog, I changed the standard duration from 3 seconds to 8 seconds. Now when I capture a series of screens, the Text Caption and highlight are still 3 seconds in duration, just as before, but the click box duration now is 4 seconds.Does anyone know what determines the duration of the click box time duration? Most lessons are 35-70 slides, and I don't want to manually adjust these!!Help!!

I own software but says I only have a trial version - I have been using for 2 years and nowwon;t let me in other than as a 30 day trial,  What is up with that!

I have included a learning interaction in one of my projects (Tabs).  How do I avoid the slide moving on to the next one before the interaction has been completed?  Each tab has an audio clip but ends as the slide time length is over.  Hopefully this makes sense!

I've linked a project to a much smaller project. When I run the smaller project (just 5-6 slides) as a standalone in HTML5, everything looks fine, but when I link to it via a hypertext link in the main project it's much less crisp, especially my image buttons. It's still usable but it looks kind of crappy.

Hi,I am realativly new to Captivate, and eLearning auothering, and have ran into a bit of a snag.   Been working on a project for a client, which requires a Quiz, and the ability to jump from questions back to the reference material in the previous slides,  SO I have been unable to use the in build Captivate Quiz system.   I have followed the  'Custom Multiple Choice Final Quiz Question' on Paul Wilsons Youtube channel, and this has given me the functionilty I need in the Module.How ever I am running into and issue when testing on the Scorm Cloud.If the incorrect answer is selected, I have set it to a score of 1, and to not add to the total, which is working fine.  However, The results section in the Scorm results page, displays everything as correct, even if the actual answer is incorrect.This is what I am getting on the Scorm Page..I done a test using the standard Captivate Quiz, and got this.   Which is what I need the custom quiz to do.I

Just got CP 2017  I'm trying to get the cc to start on the bottom left.  I thought I'd done the settings correctly but when I preview the CC is centered at the bottom.

I'm looking for a way to randomize slides (not question slides) in Captivate. I am thinking this maybe possible with Javascript. The use case i'm thinking about would be a project with a couple different branches. I would want to randomly send the learner down 2 of the 4 branches. The idea would be each time they take the course, the branches they are presented with could be different.

Hi folks,Stop me if you've heard this one before, but there is disagreement between ISD and Technical Documentation in our group. As a result, there is a lot of duplicate effort when creating lessons and online technical documentation. I'm searching for ideas on how I might be able to leverage what TD has created (which is HTML text and images), and import into my Captivate lessons. I also want to publish a dictionary or glossary of terms, so we all call a GUI element by the same name consistently. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I have selected "Collapse All" in the Table of Contents settings, but the TOC does not collapse. It stays open. Is this a known issue in the trial version?Basically, I am trying to make TOC open in collapsed state  or hidden state when user is playing the project in HTML5.  User should click to open or un-collapse to view the Table of Contents.

Hi Guys,I have a assessment in the module which comes after completing the module. I need three attempts there in the quiz, and if user fails in all attempts, then he/she needs to complete or read the whole module again to take fourth attempt of quiz.Is there any possibilities to make it functional like that.Please share your feedback or suggestions on this.- Salim

Hi,So i am trying to create a Next and Previous button with Html, Css and Javascript. I spend alot of time on Captivate 9 building elearning, and it always works very well.....except if I have to realign any components of a quiz.  For example, if I create a multiple choice quiz with 10 possible choices, the layout places the responses in one very long column.  When I attempt to grab one of the text box response fields to drag it elsewhere, the whole program stops responding for several seconds up to a minute.  It appears that any alteration to the auto formatting on quiz slides causes a massive slowdown.  I never have any other issues with the program except in this one case.  Can you move the answer choices/sizing/location and other properties on quiz slides without causing the whole program to crash?

I created an Instructional Video which plays fine on my laptop. When I upload it to a networked Drive (at work) it fails to play.The only thing that does play is a circle shape that appears to be trying to load up something on the screen.Thanks for your help

Hi, I would like for learners to have the option of clicking an attachments link within my Captivate project so that they can download a file that is relevant to my course WHILE they are watching the video.  Can Captivate do this?  I've used a similar feature on Articulate Presenter.Thanks,Robyn

I have downloaded, from Get Free eLearning Assets, some graphic source files (buttons).Unfortunately the tutorial link on the download information no longer exists, and I could not locate the tutorial using the Wayback Machine.How to I copy the items into Captivate so I could use them in current and future projects?Thank you.

I am using Captivate 2019, and have create my own theme.  I now want other people in the company to use this also.  How do I distribute it to them.  We do have shared network drives, can I save it to there, and they retrieve it to use?  Or is there another way.  Thanks for your help.
