I'm having trouble gettin gmy 360 videos int Captivate Classic.  I'm using the Add 36 Image / Video button, selecting the video from my local files but nothing happens.  The files explorer window disappears but the video does not load into Captivate. Any ideas?

Hello, Specs: Macbook pro i-7, 16gb run, plenty of HD storage,  running ventura 13.4.1c - all within adobe's published requirements. I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue with the new captivate.  Note:  This is a fresh install of the new captivate. I am getting back in the saddle with captivate (been a few years) so my knowledge of the application is a bit dated. Anytime I try to create a new project or new simulation, the loading icon spins for about 5 seconds and then I get the following error: An unexpected error has occurred, which may cause Captivate to behave unexpectedly.  You can restart Captivate with backed-up project. The application then closes.   I cannot get past the initial loading screen so I can't access any application preferences. I have 2019 installed - that still functions properly.  I can create new projects with no errors.  

I was thinking this would be an in built function but I cant find it.Maybee it needs to be scripted. I would like to move an object to a certain x/y position when pressing a button. I can not use the motion function. I have to objects that when pressing a button I need them to go to a position and at the same time set two variables to 0. The variables are the easy part 🙂

Are we only able to use Google fonts for CP 12? I'm noticing that I'm not able to use this font or any font other than Google Suite fonts in CP12. Am I missing something? I need to abide by my employer's brand guide which includes a specific font face. I have this installed locally to my computer and I have no problems accessing it from CP11 or any other Adobe CC app.  

We're trying to embrace Captivate 12. When we publish our content, it previews in our LMS (Convergence by Vector Solutions). However, when I assign it to test users and try to launch it, the content doesn't display. Any ideas?

I have many widgets/interactions that contain images with lots of details. It would be helpful if users could click the smaller image in the interaction and open it full size. Is this possible?

I am working on a responsive project in Captivate 8. In the Properties panel of the slides you can select Style, Action and Options.  When you selct Action, you find 'on Enter' and 'on Exit'.On some of my slides there are buttons.  Properties for Buttons are Properties, Timing and Position.  None of these show Action.The Properties section contains Style Name, Fill, Stroke, Character and  Shadow and Reflection, but according to the manual, this section should also contain an Action section.  It doesn't.Action is not to be found under Timing and Position either.Obviously I am missing something.  Where can I set actions for a button in a responsive project? 

Cp 2019 11.5.1.499 on Windows 10Pro 64bit When I use Cp's playback controls, they inevitably appear on the start page of my published project. Does anyone know a way to prevent this?

Hi there.I'm working on some system tutorial modules in Captivate 7, which include a lot of click boxes and highlight boxes. Is there any way to get rid of the "Highlight box" / "Click box" captions that appear inside them when you're editing a project? Although this isn't a major issue, it can be rather frustrating, as it covers the text underneath it, which sometimes I need to see to include in callout boxes.Here's an example of what I mean:In this example, if I forget what the text says I need to move the highlight and click boxes to be able to read it.As I say, not a massive issue, but it seems like something that should be easy to do and would make things quicker and easier. I've had a look in the preferences, but can't find anything.Thanks.

Hi I've just starting using Adobe Captivate 12 and would like to ask if anyone know does Adobe have a user guide/manuel that can be accessed. I've looked under Help within the app but there is nothing available.Thanks 

I used captivate 9. A little over 1 month ago I formatted my computer. When I re-downloaded captivate, it was already the latest version. However, I have files from the old version to edit. Where can I find the captivate 9 installable?

Hi all - so in Captivate Classic, I edited the quiz so that there would be 2 attempts and a Fail. Each was a different message edited via the State View (Just change the Normal view of the Incorrect Shape). Each failure message was different with pregressive hints to the right answer but the final failure message was You got it wrong, the answer was XYZ - Continue.  So I see C12 or 2023 has the quizzing system plus the feedback elements, but does any one know how to edit those feedback elements? I have a 4 minutes mp4 video covering highlights of a new product version recently released. Had it been a regular SCORM output, interactive, then userc could have clicked the links to interact and navigate.This being a mp4 file, is that possible. The mp4 files is meant to be a self-playing file without user interactivity. Just wanted to check if it is still possible.

When previewing a Cp 12 project, the first thing that I see is a charcoal-grey screen with a play button on it. Is this really what the user would see? It seems like I am looking at a mistake - like I would expect to see my nice title page, with a play button on it. I have not published any projects yet - so far I am only looking at my practice projects in preview mode. How accurate is preview mode, as compared with what the user will see?

On Click To Reveal Widget: With 3 or more flip cards on a slide, the Tablet view fails because it only shows 2 of them and does not give the learner any indication that there are more flip card(s) if they scroll to the right.  Suggest Adobe fixes the layout for the learner sees right away that there are more for them to do, without learning having to hunt around the screen. Thanks! Hello, group! May I ask, if anyone can share accessibility info about Cp 12? I embed subtitles on all of my material (I do this as I create slides/videos etc, because I think after-market subtitles are icky), and I consider colours (for colour-blindness) and font size and choice for dyslexic and visicion-impaired users. Are there other areas that I could consider, or guidelines you can recommend? With drag-and-drop and T/F and Radio button quizzes--are there accessibility considerations for those who have trouble with mouse operation? In terms of Cp specifically, is there an option for an image to be narrated/described for the visually impaired? (I don't really like the quick, robotic voices of image-describing software, but I am happy to learn about what options we have in Cp. If it's all terrible, then I could always create a course with a separate version where I narrate the images myself...) Thank you in advance. 

When I publish my VR project to my local drive, the spherical slides are missing. I can launch the HTML file and it seems to work OK, but all I see are hotspots. No images. I'm using the publishing defaults, and all look to be in order. Is there a setting I'm missing?

Hello Community,The option to edit background images in a simulation with mspaint.exe was available in windows 10. However, in Windows 11, it does not take mspaint.exe. Steps: Right-click on slide > Find background > Right-click on background > Edit with > Open (here mspaint.exe used to work, not it doesn't seem to).Please advise if there an option to resolve it. Hi everyone,i am trying to embed my Captivate Video in to my moodle page via using iframe. But when i embed it, it steals the focus and my page opens already scrolled down. In order to see the information the user should scroll up again, which is a little disturbing.My video has no autostart function. I use a poster to click on. I read that the problem could caused by this "captivate generated play button" on my poster. But i actually want to continue to use that.Any suggestions for solving this problem.May be a tweak by *.js or *.css??? Thanks a lot.(Captivate 2019, Moodle 3.5)

I am trying to capture a full motion recording while scrolling down on a webpage. I am using the software simulation manual recording option. When I finish and view the slide, the scrolling is jerky and does not show smooth scrolling. 

Hi all, When I record a simulation it ends up bigger than the slides. Please see attached screenshot. I have tried every single thing I possibly could. I tried rescaling the project, I tried matching the dimensions of my simulation screen to my project. I have exhausted google search and Adobe help forums. Anyone have any idea? I'm at a loss.

Can we show custom cursor for Drag and Drop activity in captivate 2019

I've inserted a tab widget into a new page on a blank project (no assets used) and it gets funny in the preview, will it come back to normak once uploaded? Why is the preview so stretched out and wierd?  The first screenshot with the scarecro is how it looks in the authoring window, and the second with the potatoes is how it previews, none of the other widgets are doing this.  * I had disabled the heading on the widget and it still appears in the preview as well. Previewing on the mac in ventura using Safari. 

I just started using Captivate and am using the new V12, not Classic. Is there a way to set the defaults for closed captions for a project?  This includes setting the default font, the default voice agent, etc.  You can at least change fonts on all slides after setting up one slide, but it appears you have to change the voice agent separately on every single slide. I cannot find any way to do this in Captivate.  I've also searched the Windows Registry and looked through the XML files in the install directory of Captivate, but had no luck. Is this something that is simply not implemented? Hennie
