Hello everybody!The bug I found is this:Suddently, my Mercury Transmit Syphon started to generate more than one Scene in Syphon Client (OBS for example, but I also checked on Syphon Client official App to read it), as soon as I change Scenes in Character Animator, and that thing creates a huge problem, because if I´m transmitting something in OBS that have a Syphon Source with my Character Animator Scene, what happens is that the transmission freezes as soon as I change Scene in Character Animator, because Character Animator creates another Scene in Syphon transmission. And even if you return in Character Animator to the previous Scene, it don´t change to the previous Syphon Scene, it just creates another Syphon Scene.And this problem never happened before, I mean, I could change whenever I wanted Scenes in Character Animator, and Syphon Scene was only one, it never generated duplicated ones. Hi there, my recording while dragging arms or legs goes to slow coz requires more attention. In the end the recording goes huge over the rest.Is there a way to bend that recording between 2 seconds or 10, not like a cut, same actions but faster or slower? I know the recording speed option, useful but it's hard to predict the end.
Hi,I've created a shooting star for a background with just 6 layers. It's basically just a line shifted slightly in each layer.The cycle runs fine.However as soon as it reaches the last frame it starts again imediately.I want to wait about 30 seconds before it starts again.Is there a way to do this?Regards
Hi. I am wondering if someone can help me with a puppet I downloaded from OK Samurai. I want to be able to record draggable hands on the puppet attached. It seems to have been disabled or not added to the rig. I'm not sure how to add the ability to record draggable arms....when the triggers are turned off then the draggable arms work, they just dont record. The puppet is this one: https://okaysamurai.com/puppets/Heller.zip I appreciate anyone's advice / help. I'm novice to intermediate level at rigging so it might need to be explained at that level (novice!) 🙂
Can audio recordings in adobe character be edited to speed up or remove background noises?

Hi all! I'm new to the program, but I have been successful in creating my first puppet. My issue is now with revisions. The client I'm working with wants to switch out the character's clothing (I am working with an artist remotely, so I wasn't able to go into the original AI file myself and do this.) We decided to replace the source artwork in the top right corner of the Rig mode screen. The dimensions are correct, so the rigging of the arms, legs, and walking motion in record mode seem to check out. The issue lies in the mouth - the mouth has completely disappeared in rig and record mode even though the layers do not seem to have changed. To add - I created a 'Standing L' and 'Standing R' layer by duplicating the left and right profile for the original walking feature. These layers are now missing serious parts of the puppet. I'm not as worried about this as I am about the mouth/ saving time rigging. I have checked the AI file, eyeballs on/off, and did some r

I was using Character Animator in a project with 3 puppets, instanced that CH project in After Effects successful, in the next day the AE couldn´t find CH puppets.I tried began a new AE project and that error message appears:"After Effects error: Could not connect to Adobe Character Animator 2020. Please Verify that Adobe Character Animator 2020 is installed (86::1)"I checked all actualizations, and also tried to down one version of AE, without results.These are my versions.Ch 3.4Ae 17.6
Hi - in the new version of CH there appears no way of tagging the left and right pupil range. I have a character where the pupil range has appeared on one eye, but not on the other – consequentll the eyes move to different ranges – any help or advice?
Hi All, I downloaded the blank puppet on this page:https://pages.adobe.com/character/en/puppets I then changed the everything in illustrator. I changed his clothes to a suit. No issue there.I did stretch elements of the head. Made it shorterand narrow and changed the shape. I also added in new ears and hair.I have now found the following issues:- When I look left and right the pupils distort and stretch other areas of the face- The eyebrows raise but the move the forhead and stretch it up Any ideas what I can do to fix that please? Many thanks.
I have the education subscription so has the access changed for this? I now do not have access to any window but the perform one. I know it has been updated and the interface is different, but the character I just spent $1,000 for is basically useless without seeing the timeline.
Is it possible to have a secondary dangle?For example, I'm trying to animate a bunny character with a bent ear. (see attached image) I have created the ear in two parts: the bottom half of the ear which is supposed to be attached to the head, and the top half of the ear which is supposed to be attached to the bottom half of the ear. I am trying to figure out how to rig the character so that the bottom half of the ear experiences dangle physics based on head movement, and the top half of the ear experiences dangle physics based on the movement from the bottom half of the ear. Am I making sense? Is this doable? I've watched a few videos, but they only show an example of a primary dangle and not a secondary dangle.
Hello, thanks for taking the time to read this.I've read through every support forum I can find about disppearing mouths and none of the fixes applied to whatever issue I'm experiencing. My puppet seems to be working perfectly, except when I'm talking or importing audio to be used for lip syncing, the mouth disappears for a frame frequently. It's very noticeable, and I can't seem to find the cause for the flashing mouth.Please help! Thank you so much.
In my timeline --> Blend take is deactivated in puppets and also in the voice recording I do in the CH. How can I activate it? I am attaching a screenshot.
Is there a way to do multiple takes with varying transform values?----------Here is what I want to do: 1st shot:A few seconds of a super close up on character so only the top of the head is showing in frame2nd shot:Full body shot of character ---------- Here is what I've been trying to do in Character Animator:-Position character for super close up. Press record. Press stop.-Re-position character to show full body. Press record. Press stop. When I replay the recording, the first take is also showing the full body and not the close up that I originally recorded. ---------- I don't understand why repositioning also affects the first take. I'm able to do multiple takes where I record a different head movement and all the takes replay the intended head movement. Will I just need to record and export each shot? (Record and export super close up. And then record and export full body shot).
Hello there,I am really sorry to bring this same thing up again, but I just cannot figure out how to make this thing work. I have been trying to pin this character's feet on the ground but I just cannot do it. First of all, when I choose a layer I get a yellow line around the character instead of only that blue frame I see in tutorials. I don't know why this happens? I wonder if this is related to the problem? So how to choose the "body" without the yellow line appearing?I've also been reading tutorials and watching tutorials, but I am not sure what they mean or if I am missing something. I found this answer from the forum:"Pinning (i.e. Fixed handles) pins the handle relative to the origin handle of its group (the one with the dashed circle around it). If that origin handle itself is being moved (e.g. with a Draggable or Head handle, or a containing group's origin), it will bring the Fixed handles along with it. The fix is usually to untag the origin, and instead tag a regular handle.
Hi All, Hope everyone is well. I'm trying to change the colour on my character's hand, but to no avail. I'm using colour overlay, however the colour completely overpowers the black outline of the hand and fingers (please see examples). Wondering if anyone could help please in changing the colour of the hand, whist keeping the original black outline. Thank you
Every time I export, the end result is blurry and pixelated and colours are changing, not matching the scene in character animator. I have tried quick export, low medium and high quality. I have tried exporting via adobe media encoder, no difference. I have used illustrator to make the puppet so it is all vector based, I don't understand why the exported video is not sharp, it looks perfect in CA. What do I do?

I seem to remember learning how to make the eyes blink on a regular basis whether or not the timeline is playing but I don't remember what I learned. Is that even possible? Can I automate other movements in a similar fashion? CA is one of those programs where people do all kinds of diverse crazy things. I love it.
Hi there :), Thank you for your help. I'd like my lizard's head turn on a rotation as shown in the second photo left and right. What modifiers should I pin to do this? Currently, it is bending the body and moving, which I am not looking for it to do. Thanks in advance!
