I followed another user's discussion on this, and tried a few things that don't work.I got it to work very briefly, then it stopped and won't anymore.At first, the mouth would simply disappear when I hit the trigger key. I added a layer with just the mouth triggers, and it worked for about 5 minutes.Now it won't recognize any of them at all. It does lip sync and smile and surprise, and that's it. It also recognizes their triggers BUT THAT'S IT!In the other discussion where someone is having trouble, there is mention of a video (but no link?).I have searched the tips and tricks and can't find anything that might fix this!!I did try importing the mouth as its own layer in the swap set. I was wondering if there is a version of the blank puppet (illustrator version) available for full body tracking, not just head and shoulders. Thanks!!

Has anyone got a parallax clipping mask working? That is, the clipping mask moves with parallax settings.I tried with Chloe, making the nose into a bigger blob, then setting the parallax strength high (600%), then making the background of the face clipped by the nose. I can get the shape of the nose to appear, I can get the nose to move from side to side, the rest of the background is not present, but I cannot get the nose shape to be the color of the background image. That is, it does not seem like its clipping.The effect I was trying for was to get a head shape to adjust with parallax. The eyes and nose move fine today. The documentation says the mouth is mean to move as well (but does not) - but if you move the Mouth to be a child of Nose then you can make it move as well. But the head shape should adjust as well (at least a bit). I was trying to work out if this could be done smoothly rather than with profiles.Consider the following diagram. Hi! I'm having issues when trying to move the origin to the correct place on my puppet. It's only on the facial features. The origion won't move to the eye for example and when I succed to move it the whole eye moves away with it. Don't understand what's wrong can someone please help me? I restarted the project so I haven't done any rigging to this puppet.  

I've been using character animater a lot over the past month and it was working great, I could send output via Sphon to OBS and record videos with no drop in frames or performance issues even with multiple other programs running on the computer. As of the latest ACA v22 about 1 second into recording, frame rate starts dropping until it gets to around 9 fps and once I stop recording in OBS it slowly goes back up to 24 again. I'm using the same character rig / scene as before the update. OBS is the same version too. I've closed all other programs. I restarted. I've cleared a lot of empty space on my HD. None of these things have helped. I'm on an M1 mac mini, 16gb ram, ssd. An recommendations to avoid frame drops?

I can't get the two mouth groups to work for the lip sync. The first group (happy) works very well, but the second (Sad) does not want to know anything. Sad doesn't work at all, even if I put it on top of Happy and set Sad by default. The Puppet has a parralax which complicates everything ... the puppet works great, except for the lipsync. if I try to rig it otherwise the mouth paralax stops working.if I put another lip sync behavior on the Sad group, it doesn't work.If I put a mouth mapping on the groups of mouths, it doesn't work.

I've edited two scenes togther in CH. I can't export that edit out. I get the message below. This is the same PC/GPU I've been using with CH for three years. Oddly I can still export the scenes individually (crisis overted...more work to be redone tho!) This seems like a bug to me. I have downloaded the app and it starts when clicked on. But when I reach the startup screen this message (attached screenshot) pops up and I can't interpret it. What is wrong and how do I get around this?

I am new to charcter animator and have followed several tutorials before attempting to upload my own character. I followed the tutorial instructions but for some reason, the eyebrows are spinning in circles, the head keeps flying off the body, and the mouth won't move with the face background. Any suggestions on how to fix this???

While working in character animator, working with the visemes on my animation and I received a pop up error message that states the following: Could you please help me understand why I would be getting this? I have tried restarting the program, but every time I try to open my project up again- I still receive the same message. The recording and visemes show, but when I try to play or scrub they don't work.

I have installed the NDI 5 plugin. I set it up as normal and NDI output is ticked.Using Teams Video, I can choose the NDI Video source but I just get a blank screen.Not sure what the issue is?

In Charactor animator, I am on a Windows 10 PC.I am trying to export my character. Hi, all. I'm new to this program, and I was really digging it until I got ready to set my character to walk but couldn't find the walk button in the properties panel. In the vid tuts I've watched, I see that it is supposed to be below triggers, but alas, no button. Went searching through the dropdowns and still no luck. Even uninstalled and reinstalled the program. Am I missing something? If anyone can help I'd be most thankful. 🙂 

I feel like I might be missing something or doing something wrong.    I use CH a LOT, now it's part of my job so efficiency in the timeline is pretty important. So I have a webcam or headphones often plugged in while working no matter what. But with complex scenes it's really best to record performances using only 1-2 behaviors at a time, which is what I do.    I've never been able to figure out how to actually DIS-able an extra audio recording every time I do any performance.  So for example:   I've turned off absolutely everything except like the 'eye gaze using keyboard input' and I begin a recording. when it's done CH has added another audio track of whatever crappy room sounds were hitting my webcam/headphones during that performance. So you need to go delete that segment from the top audio layer. It's a small thing but when you're recording like 50-80 short takes and re-trying things there ends up being a massive staircase of useless a

I use character animator frequently and I use the razor/blade tool to manually and precisely split visemes and other elements in the timeline. I went to use the application today and I am unable to activate the tool and I even went into keyboard shorcuts to check for the tool but I could not find it. I used the tool about 1-2 weeks ago and I am still running the same version of Character Animator, v 3.5, since then. Has anybody had a similar issue with this tool?

I have no idea what to do. I searched hours and could not find a good solution. I need the character to move his eyes, but the eyes are moving very slowly. Please help.  Also, why do the eyes go up, when I look right?

How do I trim audio? I want to cut the last few seconds of an audio recording out but can't figure out how to. Sometimes I import pre-recorded audio but it's simpler for me to record in Animator.

After I rig and do the first take performance such as Face Camera Imput,   The following performance take such as a DRAGGER of a limb, immediately turns the first performance into an orange bar with no link to the first performance. It's gone.  I've spent the weekend trying to figure this out. I've completely uninstalled and reinstalled Character Animator and I'm using all updated software. I had to remove the previous software for lack of space.  I'm using a 13 inch Macbook pro M1 2020.

Hi there, I have been working on an animation project for multiple years now using Character Animator.As great as it would be to update to the latest, I cannot. The updates seem to change the ways the rigs work a little and years' worth of scenes get a bit whacky.  I had tried updating to the latest Character Animator, AE and PR however, encoutering these problems forced me to go through a lot of downgrading of projects to salvage the project and go back to CH 3.1 and the newest versions of AE and PR that will still talk and dynamic link with 3.1, without issues are earlier 2020 versions. The new AE 'Composition Profiler' looks amazing. I would love to be able to use it given dynamic linking CH comps can get quite resource heavy. I imagine this could improve my work flow 10 fold. Is there anyway I can keep using CH 3.1, but update to latest AE and PR and still have the dynamic links work? I don't mind using a work around for now, just until I finish this big pr

Has anybody had problems with the elbows not moving enought with body tracking? The tracking window shows the dots moving there properly, so it is seeing my arms. .... OOOHHHH! Okay, should have watched OK's videos better 😉  My arms are two separate segments (forearm is independent) and I did not turn on "elbow tracking".Result looks a bit better now. Getting the black outlines is hard though with independent arms (see shoulders). Need to fiddle more with the pivot point I think.So maybe no question after all! 😉  

My audio cut off where it's circled at. Is there a way I can drag it all the way down to the 20:46 mark where the audio ends? Thanks in advance.
