Hi everyone, I'm new to Character Animator. I made a simple rig of my cat Sagan and everything works fine but the left eye. The big problem is at certain (and random head positions) the left eye folds in on itself. The pupils are not tracking either, which is a lessor concern at this moment as I could just use the mouse to move them later. But I feel like I've tried everything and can't get that left eye to work correctly. He blinks just fine. They are attached to the torso, set to weld, tagged correctly, the "Show Rigging Issues" function just says no behaviors are attached to the eyes, but when I tried adding Eye Gaze, it made it worse. BOTH eyes started folding in on each other. See screen grabs below. Any suggestions would be amazing. Thnx Jay
I designed a puppet, and it turned out well in the Ch scene. However, I imported an audio clip I needed to record, and after recording, the entire mouth part disappeared. I tried everything I knew to restore it, but it didn't work. Even resetting didn't bring the mouth back. I am redesigning a new one, but I am worried that once I make it record, the same issue might reoccur. What am I doing wrong? How do I fix this?
Hi,I’m working on a project where I’ve got a character’s mouth rigged in Blender using shape keys. I want to use Adobe Character Animator’s lip-sync technology to generate mouth shapes from audio and then bring that data into Blender to align it with my shape keys.Does Adobe Character Animator allow exporting lip-sync data (such as visemes and timing information)? If so, what’s the best way to export this data for use in other software like Blender?Thanks in advance for your help!

Is it possible to create a puppet in Adobe Character Animator that includes five distinct head turns and is fully rigged for walking animations?
Whenever I add " NEW SCENE CAMERA" with the intention of moving the camera to have close and wide shots, the triggers move the puppet instead of the camera, what should I do?
I have two eyebrow groups, each with a normal, worried, and angry state. I set the up the way it is shown in the Chloe example puppet.My triggers for angry and worried were working fine until now. But now, when I trigger the worried or angry state for the eyebrows, the default layer ("normal) remains showing show I get a double set of eyebrows. I can't think of anything I've changed that would cause this. I tried reconnecting to the AI file, re-saving, deleting all puppet triggers and rebuilding, reordering the layers in AI. No luck.I've included a pic of the puppet rigging and the problem.Rigging:Triggering Worried eyebrows (normal brows pink to show difference)... Normal state eyebrows should be hidden!
Hello! I hope all is well 😃 Yesterday, I used the Animate From Audio feature on Adobe Express and fell in love with the character Amora lol I was interested in using her in an animated series created using Adobe Character Animator. Does anyone know how to export Amora as a puppet so I can use her in the pro mode of Adobe Characte Animator? Best, J
I'm using the left a d right head turner. I created the head turning profiles with side mouths. When I apply the sync to audio the mouth only syncs to the front view? HELP! Just need to fix this last bug. All images and info is copyrighted and trademarked to Mr. Snackosaurus 2025
Or is the best/only way to do that by deleting the puppet in the project and reimporting the Illustrator file?
I am very new to Adobe Character Animator and am trying to create a Pilot Episode. My Character moves up when walking, it's as if he is walking on air. I think it is something with my rigging but don't see anything that sticks out. Can you help?
Is Character Animator still being actively developed? Was there even an update in 2024? Is this the final product? I'd hate to believe that after 10+ years, this is the end result.
I'm trying and failing to import a video with transparent background to overlay on another video in Adobe Express. I've tried using Media Encoder about 8x with various permutations of a .MOV file using Export with Alpha via Media encoder and then choosing Alpha Prores 4444 with Alpha (I've tried Prores 4444 regular too, and other settings). Every time I drag my huge video file into Adobe express over another video it renders out with a black background. Is there a bug in Express? Do I have to use Premier Pro to utilize transparent background or is it not rendering properly. I'm completely baffled here. Thanks folks!

Hello everyone,I’ve created a character in AI and set up the two arms to be animatable via draggers. According to the recording tutorial, you can animate the arms separately by assigning a second dragger. However, after adding the second dragger, both arms are still controlled by the first one.In the error window, CH shows me the message:“The handle tagged as magnet is not used by any behavior.”Can someone help me fix this so I can animate each arm independently?Thanks in advance for your help!Bjoern

Help! I really need to get the front profile of my character fixed for a Christmas animation! When I'm in rig mode everything looks good and works but when I record, her face artwork goes wonky. The quarter profile works flawlessly so I don't know why the front is freaking out.
Was working on my project. Fine yesterday. Opened up character animator and had the external edits error not being able to find the project path. This project has been so stressful and took a lot of work, now all seems lost. Yesterday, I could not even get a basic cycle trigger to render, now this. I'm just done.
Hi!I have Character Animator CC 2018 (Version 1.1) installed on my PC, but there is nowhere an uninstall option.At the Creative Cloud app it´s not listed. I can only install the newer versions (2.1.1.-3.2).Also nothing in the windows 10 apps & features. Best Regards
Hello, I have a question, in CM, how would you use the Triggers to move hands playing the guitar? with character 'Martin', when you play music, it would be handy to use Triggers to move his hand to play the guitar.Thanks...great software
I've downloaded Martin and for some reason he is very large in CH. How do I resize him to fit in frame?Also is there a tutorial on how to use Martin?Cheers.
I worked on a doll puppet and it was listed on okaysamurai website i think some years ago and it had this functionality, The arm could move 360 degree and also the elbow, and it was like upper arm and lower arm are separate layers but connected to each other giving a 360 degree hinge rotation effect at elbow. But unfortunately i dont see that puppet anymore on intenet and i need that effect badly, Tried my best but could not get it properly. Do anyone know how to do it?
Hi, I am new to Character Animator. I created an Illustrator puppet from Okay Samurai's a tutorial (believe he works for Adobe) using the blank puppet. The puppet is live and works in Character Animator except for the arm and leg movement. I have tried several things. I have activated body tracking symbol and it tracks my head and shoulder movement, side to side but no arm or hand movement. The lip sync function works as well. When I load a different stock character from the Character Animator home screen, in the Character Animator app, all the movement works. I don't think I messed with anything related to the behavior aspect of the process. I opened the blank Adobe template and edited the layers according to the tutorial. At the end of Okay Samurai's tutorial the character's arms and legs track the way they are supposed to, after he modified it. I followed the same steps but having issues with body movement.  
even if i press trigger then after going to next frame its shows Right quarter view
i'm trying to add the dangle effect to this stock character but i can't control it and t's not even when i go to photoshop and i make the moving parts as separated parts still not working, any thoughts?
