We are trying to use Adobe Connect Professional to teach others at a different site and they can't read text on some of the screens.  We are using a live site via the web so we can't change font size like you can in a slide or document.Any ideas?Thanks

My intent is create short 5 to 10 minute demonstrations of software for training and to also develop more comprehensive Lessons using Captivate 5.  The Acrobat.com LMS will work for my needs.  How can I host completed projects?Do I need a Connect Pro account?  If so will I need a Meeting Account such as the one for $55/month that is available for a single host work.  I worked with one of the large teleconference providers and they seemed to think I needed a Connect Pro Account with Presentation enabled and Author with no Meeting.  Look like this would upload content only.

I recently spent a VERY frustrating hour with Connect Pro support, only to learn two potentially huge problems that may prevent me from achieving my goals.I hope someone in this forum can alleviate my fears and set the record straight with a workable solution. I really think the person I was speaking with either did not fully understand Captivate 4 and Connect Pro, or did not fully comprehend what I needed.Starting with the simplest problem first....How do I make PDF jobaids, links in a Captivate 4 lesson work when published to Connect Pro?I have created lessons that have jobaids which are PDF files the student can open (in a separate browser window). This method works when I publish the lesson to a folder on my computer. The problem is that there does seem to be a way to publish to Connect Pro and still have these jobaid links work.I have even published to a local folder, placed all the jobaids (PDF files) in the root of this folder, zipped this folder and uploaded the contents (the z

Is there a way to integrate telephone and web users with ConnectNow which will allow both sides to communicate.  I have been running into problems where my web users can hear eveyone who is on telephone and on the web.  However, my telephone users can only hear those who have called in and not the web users.  Is there a way to close the circle which will allow everyone to hear everyone regardless of what method they are using?  Will a that-2 solve this problem?

So I have a meeting recorded and I would like to edit out a section that is irrelevant. I tried to use the integrated editing tool but when I cut out the section I don't want it doesn't actual cut it. Instead, when the video gets to that point it stops, loads up again, plays through the cut section very fast, and then continues on. I took a look at the offline version of the edited file and the problem persists. Does anyone know why this might be happening/how to get around it? I would like to make smooth cuts but I don't know if that's possible with a .flv.Thanks...

I know you can time-crop a recording, but can you really edit it? We want to repurpose 3-5 minute clips from our webinars in another area of our website, while preserving the full recording for others to access. We'd like to focus on just the PPT pod, cropping out the chats and camera/voice pod. Is this possible? We've tried Captivate and SnagIt, with nearly disastrous results. Help! (We have an enterprise hosted account.)

I tried to install from browser and off-line version. In the first way, always try to install and nothing happens. In off-line mode (exe), the apps appears in control panel>programs, with no size ou reference, and nothings happens too. My OS is a Windows 7 64 bits and I´m the administrator and run with the administrator compatible mode. Please, I need some help. Thanks.

Hi,I am in E-learning Specialist looking out for a solution for a problem. We are an educational institution into distance learning programs. Our mock exams require to be hand written by students across the Globe. Presently they download the mock exam pdf, fill it, scan it and send it back to us which we again take a print and send it to teachers for evaluation. When they complete their evaluation they give us back the sheets which we once again do a bulk scanning to send it back to all the students who have enrolled. Now that the student strenght is increasing we are finding it tough to manage the scanning and mailing back process and require a suitable solution for this problem.The Mock exam questions are essay type questions. Hi there,            I have an issue whereby I can not get the screen to use the unused space on the side of my presenter area.I have a big gray empty section on the right hand side and this makes my charts too small in the middle.Can any one tell me how to use the entire space available?I have tried to resize the screen resolution , tried using presenter area only tried clicking and dragging it wider but cant seem to get it to fill the gray area on the right hand side.I have attached a chart to show you what I mean.Thanx

HiI know you can save recordings to a local PC, but I have two questions.  Is there a quick way to save the recordings to my PC for others to view rather than having to have the recording playing full screen in the back ground.  If I don't have it full screen and minimise it my screen goes black when I open and play the recording from the point I minimise the screen. Also, if I move the recordings to a folder within my log in rather than saving them, is there a limit to how many can be stored on the login?Kind regardsEmma

Hi all,I have a captivate project that I am uploading into Connect Pro - inside this course some of the swf files reference others that are not contained within the captivate project itself.  How can I upload these additional files to connect pro?  Is there a method to do this, so that that they can been seen inside connect pro?Thanks so much,Tristan

We have just setup a Connect Pro (v7.5SP1 on Server 2008 R2) on a server in a datacentre here in Brisbane, Australia. We can connect to it fine and use it but one person can't join a meeting. It sounds similar to what we got initially when the firewall on the server was blocking connections to the FMS. However that person can connect to a different Connect Pro server (hosted by a business partner in Germany) and it connected fine.What configuration and tests can we do to resolve this? That person is connecting from a government network so there would be  firewalls, etc, but I don't know enough about the configuration why the one in Germany works but ours doesn't.TIA.

I talked to Adobe's 3rd party seller of Connect Pro and they said I was getting ripped off from Adobe in that the basic version for $55.00 a month should have a customize button.  I want to add my company logo and dress up my meeting room, why do I have to pay extra for that?  Meeting One said they offer it for no extra cost.  Adobe customer service has been very very hard to deal with.  Most of the time I don't get the help I need from Flow Chart Readers.Adobe sales says they cannot modify the 55.00 a month package.  It is how it is, and it you want it custom you have to go to www.meetingone.com or the rep for your state.Yes I am not happyThanks if anyone has a thought on this.  I can understand paying for licenses.  But just to add some logos and color....Come on!!!

I have been working with cS4 for sometime now. I worked in dreamweaver last night and tried to open a file but it took forever so I tried to force quit  it. Still it was not responding so I shut my computer down and waited for 30 minutes. I tried to open it again but after i click the icon it jumps on the dock for a few seconds and goes away. Now All my other CS4 applications will not launch either. I tried to delete preferences but nothing so I uninstalled it. I just installed a fresh CS4 copy but it still will not work/launch. Thank you. I am using mac OS 10.5 Leopard. Never had a problem with any CS4 before. All my other applications work well only Adobe CS4 will notPlease!!!!!! I really need your help guys!Thanks

Hello All. I am currently working on an educational project. After submitting for review, the clients have requested I make an array which was hard coded in the as file to read from xml. The problem I am having is that I do not know how to populate the array with the information contained in the as file. Any help would be appreciated.wordList = ("Paper,Plastic,Reduce,Retrieve,Litter,Trash,Glass,Recycle").split(",");I am wantying to replace the word lists that are included with the information in the xml file so as to allow different users to create different words for the list without having to edit anything othere than the xml file.

HelloI would be purchasing Adobe Connect Pro but I would like to know if its possible to upload and run content/course created in Courselab.I have tried to create a short course for testing in courselab, i exported it all the possible options1) Run from CD2). Run under SCORM 1.2 LMS3). Run under SCORM 2004 LMS4). Run under AICC LMSALl of the above options created a zip file with contents in it.The only zip file which successfully uploaded was "Run from CD"Contents in CD.zip :autorun.htmlimsmanifest.xmlFolder = > 1 => start.html  ( this is the main file)I ran the content in connect pro, it opened up the window, but it remained empty. I tried the same thing in my local directory on my computer and the course ran successfully.I tried to test out a course created in udutu, and it worked perfectly.I would like to know if anyone has successfully used content created in CourseLab in Adobe Connect Pro.

I have some questions regarding metadata, and exif data on digital  cameras and its forensic limitations in Adobe photoshop 3; For instance; After a picture is taken and has a metadata/exif digital  stamp of the "picture being taken day" under what circumstances can that  "picture being taken day" be changed? Does the picture being taken day change when you import it into adobe  photoshop 3 and add a caption? Does it change only when the picture is edited, to perhaps add a white  sidebar that says "family photo" or whatever? Under what circumstances does the exif/metadata digital time stamp of  the "picture being taken day" change? Also, is it possible to change the picture being taken day on a  photograph in adobe photoshop 3 manually? Thanks- Phil

I am using Connect Pro Meeting to connect to client computers for the purpose of computer technical support.  I have noticed that when I have remote control over their desktop and I go to an area such as Start > msconfig that I lose the ability to control their desktop.  If the user closes the System Configuration box then I regain control.  This happens also  when I right click Computer > Manage.  I suspect that this is happening because I am accessing areas of system changes.  Does anyone know how I can prevent this?  Or a workaround?  I like Connect Pro but it will certainly not work for me unless I can make system changes on client computers.  Thanks.

We have we think been experiencing users not being deleted after we have deleted them. We are not sure yet. At this time we are running our own test and are keeping an eye on users being deleted.It affects our licensing. Users not being removed from the “Meeting host “ group are using licenses we need for other users.Has anyone been experiencing this?Thank you,Chip
