Hallo substance painter support community / team, i have an issue with the export from substance to sketchfab. The sketchfab option in the drop down menu of the the export textures field is grey and if i hover over it there is a message 'thís preset is not aviable for the current project'. I tried it on other projects and this problem stays the same. Reinstalling substance painter doesn't fix this problem. I hope you can help me to fix it. Greetings V.
hi, im currently working in substance 3d painter to texture a roman banner. ive basically got everything textured but the logo im putting in the middle. i want to use the symmetry tool to do it, but it is centred in the wrong direction and i am unable to change the settings. i try and click on the settings icon and the settings menu comes up for a split second, and if i try and hold it down all the settings are darkened and unusable.can anyone give me any help here?
Using STEAM version (2020)Every time I boot up Substance 3D Painter, it warns me that the GPU driver is not correct. I'd installed the latest driver, and the driver version encouraged in the warning message is quite old.Is there a problem if I continue to use it?
Hey I've noticed it's rely hard to do some quick Gradiants across the mesh in Painter,, so my request would be to add a proper Gradiant Tool. like in (for exsaple) 3ds max Viewport canvis. this tool is rely old but the Gradiant tool ist quit usefull and easy to use https://imgur.com/3wkzZju It's almost like in Photoshop your draw a gradient in screenspace were u want.This in combination with some neat gradient Templates would be superB !Hope at some point this will be in Painter!
Hi,I just downloaded Substance Painter recently and it won't behave at all.I am unable to paint in a paint layer most times and when I am able, it paints randomly across my mesh.Materials work when dropped in but I'm unable to mask because of this paint problem.I've used the same geo on another computer using a different license (work computer) and it behaves perfectly fine.Not sure if I had skipped a step in the install or unlock something in the preferences??😞
I'm making some 3d asstet for a snapchat filter the texture when impoted into snapchat appeats alot darker than when it was in substance painter. I looked at the lens studio documnation for textureind and saw that substance painter had an lens studio shader. I look for the shader in substance painter and it was missing.The lens studio documentaiton doesnt say how to get the shader just shows how to select it in painter.Was it taken out or do I have the do something to get that shader?
Hi! I'm trying to bake an AO and Curvature map but I keep getting this weird result. On the right arm the maps work great, on the other one however they look awful, it looks as if it was translucent. Why is this happening? Thanks
Hello, I bought a perpetual license back in 2020, and it has since expired, but was just told to update to the newest version, when I do that though it tells me my key is invalid, is this because the maintanence period has ended or is this something else. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
hello there i just want to ask if there is a way to load fbx with all the texture without doing the dirty work that is drag & drop the texture to all nodes , because what happen if you have a complex model with alot of textures? drag & drop is the only way? or there is an automatic way to associate all textures to their shaders?
Hi When i use ambient occlusion bitmap as a mask then i want to paint only in those areas which are white but during painting (drawing) the brush paints on all areas of the 3d-object How can i use ambient occlusion as a mask to draw only in white areas?? Thanks
Hellow When we press "Y" button we can use "quick mask"And as i know i can define this mask manually mainting it using a brushCAN I BAKE AMBIENT OCCLUSION MAP AND CONVERT IT TO QUICK MASK?????? Thanks
I have a substance account. Why can't I export from Sampler to Painter? That could be done with the older version.
It's been working fine for me when i was still using 2019 versions of max and SP. and still did it how I do it before. but somehow it's not working with the 2022 versions.. am I doing something wrong or did i forget something?

I am seeing a lot of important and urgent questions in this forum but rarely any reasonable answer from the Adobe support. I think Adobe has more than 22.000 employees...what are all these people doing ? Don't say they are in the R&D dept. Since years new developments for Photoshop, Premiere Pro etc. are hard to find.
I have a subscription to substance painter that was migrated from Alleogorythmic (or however you spell it). When I launch Substance painter from my task bar it claims that my subscription has expired and requests that I activate using my old credentials for Alleogorythmic which of course doesn't work because my license is now a subscription with Adobe . I can successfully launch Substance from creative cloud, but that is ridiculous.
Is it possible to move geometry from one texture set to another? Or create a new texture set to switch an object to? I have a model where three pieces came in without a material assigned and they all got grouped into one texture set together. I would like to separate them out but I cannot figure out how.
is there an ETA on when Painter will be apple M1 native?
I have purchased perpetual licenses of Substance Painter and Designer and the maintenance of both expired by the end of October. Now, each time when I open Painter, the activation wizard pops-up. I can close it manually and continue working as usual. Nevetheless seeing this nag screen several times a day becomes annoying. (I have also attached a screenshot.)There is no such issue with Designer. Could you please tell me how to get rid of this hassle ?Or could you provide a fix for this problem. I am presently not interested in any extension of the maintenance.
Hi everyone,I’m texturing a project and i found a weird problem using the height maps created in substance painter.If I connect the height map with the bump nodethe height is not represented correctly as it was created in substance painterBut if i forget the height map and instead i export from substance the OpenGL Normal map everything work good as it should.Below the basic node setup in BlenderI also noticed that in the Height map the height information is not even represented:Someone know something about this issue?Thanks in advance to everyone!
Hii guys,I am extremely new to the world of 3D and Substance Painter. I am trying to model and texture a game asset from Maya and Substance Painter. The problem I am facing is whenever I try to bake the high poly on my low poly model in Substance, I am getting weird results all over it and can't pinpoint what exactly I am doing wrong. I have followed the general advice of:1. Adding suffix on both high and low poly and changing that setting in Substance to match with suffix.2. Softening the edges on the low and the high poly.I have uploaded all relevant screenshots and also the link for my fbx files for both of my high and low poly model. I have had a Substance Live account since (about) March 2016, and I collected more than 1300 points for the Adobe Substance 3d assets. What can I do to keep my points so far? Thank you for advanced: Tamás Jarolics (Gdinnye)
Hi on the old Substance Painter - with our 30 credit a month - there was always a bevy of new materials released to spend the credits on. On the Adobe Assets - I have 333 points and not a thing to spend them on as I am not seeing a single new asset in Materials/Smart Materials etc since the move over. Did they discontinue this (not sure why we are still getting the 30 points and being charged for it as part of our package if so) or as I just not seeing them 🙂
Hello everyone!I've been adding new components and texture sets to my project. Everything worked fine except for on the new texture set: while it's supposed to be on UDIM 1001 and 1002, and has a mat ID on it, it does not show up as two different UDIM tiles in my texture set list. Actually, it does not even show as multiple UDIMs. I just added 5 new texture sets with the regular way of doing and only one didn't work.Any clues why please? I'm joining some pictures so that you can have a better look at it! Thanks a lot in advance! 🙂
