books not transferring to Kobo

I lost books that I was reading and have since been unable to download any library books via ADE.

I have done factory reset on my Kobo and uninstalled and reinstalled ADE several times to

no benefit.

The books appear to start transferring but green line ceases early. Kobo recognises that I have

downloaded 3 books and shows 3 blank covers, but books not listed and only get blank screen

on opening. I would really appreciate some help, I have been trying to sort this for 3 weeks!!
