Needing help to open books with ADE. Various error messages new Kob ereader not accessed by ADE files appear but do not open

I registered my Sony EReader over 6 years ago and downloaded books with both ADE and EBook Reader but then ADE began freezing so I stopped using it. Now I have  Kobo Glo and have tried to open books with ADE but get various error messages "CE COPY NOT ALLOWED" OR maybe "This computer is authorized without an ID" but the Adobe site assures me I have an ID. My email address has changed since first registering. I also have ADE installed on 2 computers. Since trying to open library books with ADE my Sony  EBook reader will no longer open library books!
