Hello everyone , i have dreamweaver CC and there is an annoying bug : Sometimes when i make a webpage and use CSS to stylise the php ,  the search input just reset , like for instance if i try to input "mydiv" and start typing m .. y ... d , the field reset and it's a bug its not something that i did wrong , someone else got this ? really that's annoying

My coworker and I are working on Windows 10, Dreamweaver 2019.  About once a week or so, whenever my coworker attempts to save a file, Dreamweaver pops up with the message: Access to [random filename].tmp was denied.  The tmp file is just some random file name that I guess DW uses.  If she clicks "ok", the message box disappears and the file she was actually working on disappears from the editor. In addition, the file is completely erased off the server. (This is a LAN/Network connection site setup.)  I noticed that the files that are being deleted at her desk, are files that I have worked on just a few days ago.  It never happens to files she has independently developed.  I have been able to recover the deleted files mostly by using older versions and source text from a browser that I happen to have open at the time.I think her Dreamweaver was updated just a few weeks ago.Any ideas?

I've taken over a website that was put together with Dreamweaver, and I'm no Dreamweaver expert.  There is a main template that lays out the header and sidebars, and most of the individual pages are based on this template.I've obviously done something wrong to the template, I guess.  In the past, when I wanted to create a new page, I just pulled up an old page, saved it under a new name, and then made the changes I needed to make to it.  The basic page had a title and a main graphic followed by text.  The title was centered, and the graphic was centered, and the text was left justified.  I've obviously done something to screw this up, even though when I look at the code it looks like it should be right.  When I put my cursor into the text region and select the CSS window, and select the "left justified" icon, everything on the page gets left justified, including the title and graphic which I still want centered. I think I've done something to the template

Is it unreasonable to expect anything other than clients turning to alternatives to the traditional web designer/developer?We even offer to help those turning to those alternatives, simply by answering questions that they post in forums such as this. Hi. I'm customizing a Bootstrap template trying to teach myself Bootstrap. Is it possible to set the max-width of the page? When I try to set the max-width in css under the body tag it only affects the width of the main section for some reason, not the whole page. Hi, sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but was speaking to someone from the Web support team and they suggested to post this here.I designed a website with dreamweaver, using background color to hide/reveal text on hover. This works fine in Dreamweaver and on IE/Firefox/Chrome on Windows 10 perfectly, however on Safari and Chrome on Mac, there seems to be a different calculation of the height of the background color. Firefox appears as should. It doesn't seem to be related to screen size, and developer tools shows that it's only the height of the "boxes" that is any different, while the width stays the same. Is there some chance that the ios/browser combination interprets the vertical ascent/descent of the web font differently? Any ideas how to get around this issue? If it helps, the font is Operetta8. Hi,I am a complete novice at this. I have worked out how to make a very simple form and for now have placed it at RailHope International  as a draft and a starting point.I know the issue will be 'not having a php script' or something along those lines. But how do I get from here to a functioning web form? I have tried looking at tutorials, but have given up as the last on I looked at and followed, it got all the way to the end then said 'now you have created your contact form, but of course it won't work'. The Preview function was working fine throughout my site construction UNTIL Dreamweaver said I needed to set up a testing server when I added a PHP script for a contact form. Now Preview doesn't work at all, in any browser or on any device. I'm attaching a screen grab of the error message.I think I understand the problem but don't know how to fix it: When establishing the test server, I specified the wrong path on my host's server, so Dreamweaver put the PHP script (and associated pages) in the root directory rather than in the public_html directory where the site is located. Is there a way to fix this? I don't know if this is helpful or not, but I also managed to get a screen grab of the Background File Activity dialog box while Dreamweaver was connecting to the test server.
