Hello there,I have recently downloaded the setup for a free-trial Dreamweaver cc version 18.2 in my PC with window 8. However, I could not complete the installation because it has always gone until something like 50% and stopped. Can anyone help me please?Appreciated!

Sometimes when I try to preview my webpage I get the message in the attached screenshot. Other times it works just fine. Any idea why? I'm using Safari but I get the same message on Chrome.ThanksAlan

As an aging writer who has become a very poor typist I'm plagued with typos that disrupt my train of thought. I spend half my time running DW's awkward and antiquated spell check utility while wondering why Adobe doesn't include the modern 'spell check as you type' utility that the rest of the world is using. I note that my 2000 version of MS Word has it. Even this box I'm now typing into now has it. Does it cost too many billions of dollars for Adobe to add it to the Dreamweaver web editor that I pay over $250 dollars a year for the right to use? Maybe its because not enough users complain. Or maybe many just quietly abandon Dreamweaver and start using Microsoft Expression. I already have that program installed on my computer and after talking to Adobe on the phone, feel like I'm being forced to start using it. My Windows 10 laptop had a problem and I had to reinstall Windows 10, which deleted all of my programs.I still use Dreamweaver 2014 because of its fluid grid layouts coding properties. I have 60 clients with responsive layouts coded using it.Now that I have downloaded the CC tool, I can't find Dreamweaver 2014 in the Other Version area to install. Dreamweaver only goes back to version 18.2.So how can I get hold of Dreamweaver 2014 to reinstall on my computer?Thanks for any help given here. I need to be able to easily edit my clients code as needed. And I need the fluid grid capabilities of Dreamweaver 2014 to do this (fluid grid disappeared in later versions).

Anyone else noticed css position sticky doesnt work when display: flex; is involved?Simple example would be a:<div><div>sidebar</div><div>content</div></div>where both child <divs> are inside a wrapper <div> which is set to display: flex;Setting position sticky on the sidebar <div> does nothing BUT if you ditch display: flex; and use the old float method to align the child <divs> next to each other, position sticky works fine.Any work around for flex, haven't really looked too deeply into it, being lazy, as per usual.OsEdited: Same applies if css grid is used.Edited. Ok a quick Google search came up with adding align-self: flex-start; to the container, which has sticky applied!

Does anybody know of any indepth video tutorials for Dreamweaver ? The ones provided by Dreamweaver are very basic and barely scratch the surface. The tutorials on Lynda.com/LinkedIn seemed to have been removed.

I currently run a database on Dreamweaver for the shops & workshops of a company. I've been tasked with granting access SOME area's of the database to other businesses. I am wondering if this is possible & safe (we really do not want these other businesses to gain access to the rest of the database)The part we want to give them access to is large and extremely time consuming to create and manage so we want to just give them access to that portion of the site so when we do updates they can see the new prices etc. If this is not possible we are happy to create a pdf but we would have to send them a new pdf everytime an update is made. Any idea's or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Is there still a way to do this in Dreamweaver? This used to be so easy! All I had to do was add a "behavior" to trigger the large image to pop up in a window that overlaid on the main page. But the behaviors are now gone from Dreamweaver (I'm using Dreamweaver CC 2019). After lots of searching, I gather that what I want to do is now called "modals." But I can't find any one, straight-forward answer on how to do this; they're all different. Can anyone suggest a simple way to do this without the trial and error of adding a bunch of code that may or may not work?I have page of thumbnails laid out in a grid. All I want is for the user to be able to click on any one thumbnail and have it pop up in a window that overlays the main page and displays the full-sized image. I don't need titles, captions, buttons, or anything else - maybe just the common "X" in the upper right-hand corner to close the window. Hi all,I developed a custom command and menu that mainly consists of a few search and replace of multiple values of the active document.I installed it on 2 computers. So, I have a question if anyone knows the answer. Im working on my portfolio and found a Codepen I would like to use for my photography page. The only problem is, the pen Im using goes PAST the footer and I would like the footer to move further down the page with each batch of images I add. Ive added an example of the error Im running into, along with the CSS that is being used for the footer. I will also add the full CSS. Using Dreamweaver CC 2019 Google Maps now requires the API key be embedded in the js script source, for their free maps so I have had to add API keys to a couple of my sites. They warn that these API keys should be hidden to avoid misuse. How to I achieve this? Here is the call out: <script src="//maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js?key=MY_API_KEY&v=3.exp&sensor=false"></script>I need to keep the info relating to my API key hidden. Eventually, I want to switch the maps out with another free map that doesn't need to be monitored so closely to avoid fees and abuse. In the meantime, I am hoping for a quick fix to keep the key hidden.

Hello,One of my clients is having an issue when checking out files in Dreamweaver from a local FTP Server, we have checked the settings and they match one of his colleagues who are not having the issue. When he is checking the file back into the FTP Server the following in the FTP log:  > PORT 192,168,1,80,253,161  < 200 PORT command successful.  > SIZE filename.aspx.LCK  < 213 47  > RETR filename.aspx.LCK  < 125 Data connection already open; Transfer starting.  < 226 Transfer complete.  > DELE filename.aspx.LCK  < 250 DELE command successful. This isn't happening on each check in, just on certain ones. Doing some digging into the two status codes I can find 213 - file status / 47 SSL policy requires client certificate. The FTP Server is IIS v10 running on Server 2016Can anyone shed any light on this for me?ThanksStan

Hi,I use this feature fairly often. I noticed that sometimes it does not return results after the initial search that did give the results. It just happened to me again, while using regular expression.Case, step by step:- I open Dreamweaver, and use the feature for the whole local site.- I test the query first by pressing Find All button only.- I get 112 results- Then I press Find All button again and it returns zero results.No matter what I do within Dreamweaver after this, the search returns zero results.The only solution is to close the application and open it again. I use it on Mac.If I use this without regular expression turned on, I always get the results.Thanks

Recently switched from Dreamweaver cs6 where I could drag and drop any local file to any page. Is this feature no longer available in DW CC 19.2? I was able to drag and drop things defined as assets (image, media, etc.) in CC 19.2, but it doesn't appear that pdf's are considered an asset. My typing sucks - so drag and drop is a great feature for me, would rather not type the URL to each PDF document if possible.Thanks for your help.

I have 3 websites all created the same way from my own templates (different templates for each site) but all have the same problem.  I am using Dreamweaver CS5. My latest site is berksandmarlboroughdownsvillages.co.uk which has a page for each village in the Berkshire and Marlborough Downs. The site uses two templates, one for all the "village" pages and the other for all the other pages (Home, List of villages, About the downs, etc.). When moving from one page to another there is a slight but noticeable "jump" to the right and back again, even if the pages were created from the same template.I have spent hours trying to work out why this is as I have never seen this fault on other sites and obviously it shouldn't happen.  I have checked through the code, tried things like standardising page lengths so they either all have or do not have a vertical scroll bar, centralising the site, but nothing works. If anyone has the answer please let me know.
