I forgot: When sending the site visitor to an off-site link via"<a href- . . .", etc., is it best to add the qualifier "target=_new", to be sure the user returns to the page she started from? My intuition says "Yes, use it" (otherwise you depend on visitor's remembering to use the 'back' arrow on browser), but I would like a confirmation from one of you.Or, maybe I just answered my own question (?).Best,jwc

Hello,i saw in some youtube tutorials that people are typing attributes in 3 elements at the same time.For example you have 3 inputs and you type "<input type='text'>" and for example the type="text" is written in 3 elements at the same time.How are they doing this?

I'm learning both HTML and Dreamweaver. I copied a small amount of code directly out of a book and it works as intended in Brackets, but not in Dreamweaver. It is a few lines for creating a grid. I intended a grid layout of five lines of four boxes across, each. That's how it looks in Brackets viewing of page. But in DW, it comes out as twenty lines, vertically stacked. Me ha decepcionado profundamente la pérdida de las funcionalidades de Base de datos, Vinculaciones y Comportamientos del servidor en Dreamweaver CC. Yo los conocía de la versión CS6 y me parece muy mal que los hayan eliminado por no querer actualizar el tipo de código que escriben a las versiones actualizadas. Los usuarios pagamos lo mismo por algo que es bastante menor. Espero que lo subsanen y lo vuelvan a integrar con el código actualizado a los estándares de hoy. Un saludo

When you install an external validator extension, Dreamweaver lists its preferences in the W3C Validator category of the Preferences dialog box.That's all it says about external code validators -- the material just below is about using the W3C validator.My question:    How does Dreamweaver support external validators?Looking for interface description.  A simple example would be nice, too.TIA

The link is contained at this position (row, column). After having closed the page or document open trough this link, the cursor should be re-positioned at least in the row/col containing the link (not precisely on the link itself if it is preceded by a text, a small logo, or by anything else. If it is possible, what is the best way to do it?

By default the Document and Live View Windows are linked so that whenever you select an element in one window the other window relocates to the same place.I find this is particularly annoying, and would love to be able to have them behave independently of each other with some facility for the user to synchronize them manually (perhaps with a right click command).Is this possible?If not, are there others out there who feel the same and would like to see this facility added in the future?

Hi everyone.I am fairly new to coding, especially in Dreamweaver.. So hopefully some of you can help. I am looking to figure out why I have such inconsistent spacing and resizing within sections of my site. I know my question probably isn't making much sense, so I have included some screenshots of various window sizes to show what I am talking about - I am sure you can notice right away what I am trying to fix.Any help is greatly appreciated. I can attach css code screenshots also if it is necessary.

I have a little issue here, it's pretty annoying and if i could i would remove it from dreamweaver.So i've added a stylesheet to my html (that wasn't created yet) and clicked on it under the tab menu where your "Source Code, style.css, script.js" etc is showing.When i clicked on that stylesheet it open some not working preview window of my page that i can only close by closing the whole index and open it again.That is really bad, i see no reason why anyone would wan't a preview window of your website by clicking on a non existing stylesheet, makes 100% no sense for me.

I've created a webpage, and have a horizontal navigation bar directly under the header. In Dreamweaver, the width looks fine, but when I preview it in different browsers, the last link button is under the first or I have a gap at the end of the bar. Hola:He hecho una página con Dreamweaver que tiene una zona de acceso privado para que el administrador del sitio pueda añadir contenidos que se ven en la parte pública. La pruebo en local y todo funciona bien. He trabajado usando las paletas de Bases de Datos, Vinculaciones y Comportamientos del Servidor cambiando todo después para MySQLi (comprobando que funciona bien en mi servidor local MAMP). También actualicé los datos de las conexiones con la bbdd remota (se conecta bien) y subí los archivos correspondientes a mi hosting. La cuestión es que me encuentro con un problema. Mi archivo de acceso se llama: MCC_aeb.php. Dreamweaver CS5.5 has suddenly stopped working. When I attempt to open it, I receive two messages. I have read previous threads and have deleted the WinFileCache-********.dat file inside the Config folder, but I'm still unable to open DW. The Config. folder now shows as seen below.Thanks for any help.

Hi there.I'm looking for a simple way to implement some kind of interactive means of hosting a document (movie script) within a web page. Instead of merely pointing to a link to the document, I would like the user to be able to flip through a slightly smaller version of it on that page. And perhaps allow the user to double click for a larger version?Any tips on techniques here would be much appreciated!

Hi, I am missing the feature which was available in previous Dreamweaver versions: once I see the results of a "Find + Replace" in the panel, there is no way to export/save the results. In the past there was a "Save" icon at the panel top to export query results as xml files. Does anybody know if this function still exists and can be enabled in DW CC 2017.0.1 or more recent versions?

I have a Creative Cloud subscription and have for years. I have never gotten Dreamweaver 2018 to work well on my computer. I have a Windows 10 computer that has all the updates. When I first updated to 2018, it worked kinda. It would open and take forever to load all the panels. I used it a few times and it was so slow and buggy that I went back to 2017. Every time I notice that there is a new version I give it a try and sure enough, it doesn't work either.Here is my latest experience. I updated to 18.2 build 10165 today. Upon first run it took over 25 minutes before it fully loaded all the panels and I could pull down any menus. I tried to open a file and that took a while. Simply minimizing or maximizing was hit and miss. DW is not using a lot of resources, but it isn't working either.Two times ago, I uninstalled and reinstalled it. Still no good.What can I try next?

I have Dreamweaver CS3, which I bought 10 years ago. It has been running on my old Windows XP computer that has now broken down. I have moved it to my Windows 10 laptop, but I cannot activate it.
