I'm about to start lesson 3 (CSS Basics) I want to run a parralel website of my own while learning from the book, at what point is it best to start this, at this point? or later?

Hi My old computer (Windows 7) has run DW 8 ( I know quite old) very well for a number of years but the machine is very old. Have recently bought a new computer (Windows 10) and have installed DW 8 successfully and used site definition on new computer to connect with server successfully. Have transferred all DW local site to new computer in C:\ inetpub\wwwroot. seems to work but... The files now on the new computer are all READ only. I change the READ ONLY  to READ in the file preferences but when I reload it has remained. Any ideas? Many thanks in anticipation. Kevin

I have owned cs6 since it was released. and it was NOT cheap.. My dream weaver program has crashed many time over on my win 7 and 8.1 pro machines. so I uninstalled and reinstalled. partnered with chat support, made sure to have updated my pc and java. I have even installed and reinstalled on my win 10 machine, still, dw crashes and I have to reboot the program. I really need this program to work as I am trying to launch a site for my new business.... I have another query, I am hoping this is answered as well. How can I migrate the same information from one page to ALL pages without having to copy and paste? I have more than 8 pages hahaha. and after copy paste, i have saved and debugged, a the site page works while others do not, making me hunt for the errors and type in my repairs ... time waster

Hello  I have problems to re-activate CS3 . I obtained a new serial key, uninstalled the program, downloaded the Akami Net Sesssion Interface and reinstalled the software. After restarting my computer (Dell Inspiron 15, Win10)  I opened Dreamweaver and got the same prompt : to reactivate the software.  Same with PS, InDesign etc. What went wrong?During the reinstallation:  at no time I was prompted to put in the new serial key . I have 2 days remaining to re-activate the software - what happens after the 2 days ?This is a genuine software, please help. Thanks Bianka

In the code I have a section with a class called “refferences”. In this section it holds government codes that contractors use, and past performances for the company I am building the site for. I am wanting both ‘Government Codes’, and ‘Past Performance’ to be side by side like they are in the initial design of the website.However, depending on the size of the browser you are viewing this on, the both <aside> elements are directly on point, spread out far from each other, or overlapping each other by the ‘Past Performance” below the ‘Government Codes’ out of the blue background of the section.Another issue regarding the Past Performance class, I coded the whole section in an <aside> elements with the class of “asideRight”, I then put the <h3> element its own style to match up with the past performance like it is in the initial design. Hi all,When clicking on the real time preview and trying to use the QR Code, it displays far too small for my phones camera to scan. How can I get around this and have it display larger? I don't really want to sacrifice the current resolution etc. as I am presuming it is optimum for the display on my iMac 27-inch (2560 x 1440).Really frustrating as I do like this feature.Any help is much appreciated.A

I can't find anywhere on the forums where this problem has been reported. I may be wrong.I am on MacOS with DW CC 2018 - when typing values into the CSS Designer immediately after choosing the unit, e.g. "px" results in a double typing of the first character. So for example, if I want to type 100px, I choose "px" from the drop-down, then immediate start typing "100" and I get "1100". This is very frustrating. It is not only on my machine. I have been training last week on 14 iMacs and every single one of them had this problem so it's not a one-off.My CC apps are all completely up to date as of 18th Dec 2017.Can anyone please help?

seit ca. 3 Wochen meldet mein Dreamweaver 8 beim Start Fehler uns stoppt wieder.Dieser Fehler tritt allerdings nur bei WIN7 64Bit auf. Benutze ich WIN7 32Bit läuft das Programm problemlos.Selbst eine Neuinstallation brachte keinen Erfolg. Was ist zu tun, damit ich das Programm weiter verwenden kann?Danke für die Antworten.

I started with making a bind to display code-to-code since the new menu makes it annoying. Since I regularly switch from AZERTY to QWERTY it made it CTRL + Q so I don't close my program by mistake either. Had to make duplicate of bindings, okay everything works.Then I accidentally click CTRL + W which closes the file, my mistake. Looking into bindings and unbinded it. But nothing happens ? Restarted Dw but it still closes with CTRL + W ?

I tried following and the Dreamweaver 5.5 on Windows 10 is not working properly. It's still freezing, lagging or not responding for 30 or more seconds. It's completely unusable.I uninstalled Dreamweaver and made a clean install - nothing has changedI tried sfc /scannow in command line - no errors have been found (Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.)I tried to run Dreaweaver in Windows 7 and Vista compatibility mode - it doesn't make any differenceDo you have any other ideas how to make it work on Windows 10? Dremweaver CC v18.0, Mac Sierra 10.12.6. I set up a Git on one of my sites and all was working fine until this morning, now the Git icon on the files panel is greyed out and a message 'Please wait Git is being initialised' pops up on hover, the Git window is empty. Restart DW and restart Mac and the problem is still there. I have found a bug report that goes back to July (Please Wait, Git being initialized – Adobe Dreamweaver CC: Feature Ideas ) so others are experiencing the same problem. Any know how to fix the problem?

Can I learn PHP on Adobe Dreamweaver?

Hi Guys,I am creating html link in dreamweaver for user to click on the link and move to the next webpage. However, I want to create a check box so that the user can check the box and click on the link, so that when they go back to the main page, the know that they had visited to link by clicking on the check box.How can I do that? For example below, I want to create a check box "as shown in red" so that user can check it and they know they had visited the link before moving on to the next link.Thank you !

PHP Form Mail, on complete and send, opens the "Message Sent" Thank You page, but when click/swipe back, has also retained the just sent form, fully completed, requiring one to also click/swipe back though two pages to return to main site. Note: This isn't a problem with receiving multiple mail receipts, but of clearing the initial form on receiving the completion notification page. Mail delivery works as expected. I was just informed that they would no longer allow it for uploading new pages on one existing site for 'security reasons'. Is there a workaround? A patch in Dreamweaver? Or do I have to download instructions from the web provider to do it another way? Or use File Zilla?

However, before the assessment is posted, I want the system to check if I have posted an application for that year 2016 by checking my UserID (uid) and the year. There used to be a long window just above the Properties window that showed the current and previous CSS styles for the text highlighted in Design View. It disappeared and I don't know where to find it. I have my Workspace defined to a while now and when I reset it, that missing window still doesn't show up.ThanksAlan

My Dreamweaver CC 2018 is not showing paragraph text in live view or real time preview. I does show it in Design view though. Is this a Dreamweaver problem or mine. I have not run into this before and have been using Dreamweaver way before the CC cam out.

I'm new to this version. I like to work with the code on the bottom half of the screen and the actual rendering (??) on the top half. I'm showing the rendering on the top half but the bottom half is blank? What am I doing wrong?
