So I've developed this website which looks really good, except compared to other websites, mine just looks a bit grainy and "pixeley". I appreciate this will vary depending on the type of screen you're viewing it from but is there a standard practice (i.e. CSS attributes) to fix this at all? Much appreciated. Todd

I am a photographer and I last used Dreamweaver in 2014 to showcase my work using basic HTML and CSS. A little bit of off the shelf JavaScript. Nothing too fancy. I found Dreamweaver frustrating to work with -  especially the CSS interface - even though all the manuals and tutorials were  bragging about how easy it is to use.I just went back to Dreamweaver after a long absence and downloaded the 20`17 version. I was taken aback to see how different it is. What does that tell you about a program that changes so much from version to version? What does that say about the older versions? I don't see those changes in other Adobe programs like Premier and Photoshop. One thing has not changed - Dreamweaver still calls itself the "industry leader."I would like to give Dreamweaver 2017 a try since I have the CC subscription. Also, I hate to give up on something. My websites are simple - a page layout with a few videos and slide shows thrown in.What do you think is the best way to lear

What to make of certain businesses opting out of a website? For example, I have had a few dentists turn down a new website offer. Is this a growing trend? It just seems absurd that someone would want to do business without a website in 2017.

Having designed a site in Dreamweaver, I previewed it in Chrome and in other browsers it is exactly as in Dw design. Then I published the site;The result in Edge, Firefox, Internet Explorer and Opera is exactly as it is in the previews. But in Chrome there are certain changes to styling.Help needed to learn where to start looking for the issue which results in such changes.

Cannot get the navicon to function upon clicking/tapping. Everything else is in position as desired. I've just upgraded from DW CS6 to CC - and starting to wish I hadn't.One issue I can't resolve on multiple sites is that my css styles are not being listed - either in Tools>CSS or in the dropdown context menu. I tried reattaching the css style sheet, and also deleting the old link from the head and then reattaching, but still no styles.The page is functioning fine and it's possible to apply the styles by other clunky methods - any suggestions?

My standard toolbar will not view (after new Dreamweaver CC update).  Windows > Toolbars > Standard is checked.  Will not view in code/split/Live views or in Standard or Developer layout. Looking for suggestions on how to add. 

Hello all. I am trying to learn Dreamweaver 2017 from scratch using a variety of approaches, one of which is the "Classroom in a Book" put out by Adobe in hard copy. I am finding it slow going. When the book says "this lesson will take you about one hour to complete", I find it takes me about four hours! Part of the problem is that  what is shown in the book (screen shots) is often not the same as what I am seeing on my screen. This can happen if I have my view split horizontally instead of vertically.Another example is my "start screen". My start screen has a white background unlike the screen shot on page 21 of the book where it has a dark background. Also I am not seeing the "Show All" feature at the bottom. The bottom of my start screen is blank.Can someone tell me how to access the "Show All" feature? ThanksKevin from Cambridge, Massachusetts

Same issue here! Mac with Sierra (latest edition)... all CC apps open with the exception of Dreamweaver CC 2017.Any idea? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, rebooting a couple times. Tried downloading and running that Java link for OS X mentioned above... app icon in dock bounces up & down a couple times or so; nothing opens/launches. Not sure what else to try? And, why only this application affected?Thank you.

http://v33.ancestry.higgsy.co.uk/archivex.php​This page has five tables with almost 8000 lines of HTML.  Depending on the table there are three or four cells per row.  The first cell is usually empty and is used now and again for a link to jump to the top of the table.I've tried a couple of alternative approaches:HTML at lines 663 – 702 (search for 'Walby') show me being very bold and is my first attempt at using grid!At the very bottom of the file the last few lines in the file show me experimenting with just using padding and no table tagsNeither alternative seems to really reduce the amount of HTMLShould I be bothered about all this?  I know a table is not responsive but it’s only a 213k page.  Could I do this any better? Some kind of database? It’s likely a huge amount of work to present this information in another way so I think if I had to redo the page in some other way I would probably write a program to read in the HTML and spit out the new code and content

I just got a new computer and have installed the latest version of Dreamweaver and Git on my computer. After initial testing I can confirm that Git is installed correctly and working and is in my system PATHHer is my Dreamweaver "git" preferences:Dreamweaver seems to be seeing my Git Repository called "test" and the features seem to be working inside Dreamweaver but when I attempt to launch the terminal from Dreamweaver I get this error:I have verified the paths and everything is set up exactly the way it should be as far as I know. If anyone has a solution for this I would greatly appreciate some help.

The following issues are of concern:Frequently it says it can't make a connectionWhen it makes a connection, service is slow and it monopolizes my internet connection so that I can use a web browser, streaming service, or anything else at the same time.It's very slow to get started uploading.Other notes:I've tried Dreamwever CS5 and it does not have the same issues when tested against the same servers.I've also tested FTP with another program and it didn't display the same issues either.The problem with DW 2017.5 is consistent over many hosts.I've tried turning on and off "Use Passive FTP"I've tried turning off "Use FTP performance optimization." I thought that might have been the trick (the last one), but it only improves performance with some hosts to turn off optimization.Any ideas?Best regards,James

Application: Dreamweaver CC 2017I can usually handle myself pretty well with HTML and CSS but I will be honest that I am still struggling with some of the other programming for websites. With that said, I have a need that I can't figure out.My company website needs to have an online employee directory. The desire is that the end user can choose from a drop down menu the department they want and then the employees who are in that department will be displayed (a picture, bio and contact information for each person) in a list.My guess is that I need a PHP page with a database behind it that has the information in it and then JavaScript on the page to pull it. Again, this is me just trying to guess.Can anyone provide some insight on this? To be honest, I don't know enough to write the code for this (or at least I don't think I do).Thanks!

I'm trying to create an image map, and I understand that in order to use the mapping tool, I need to be in design mode. Design mode is not available. When I try to create another website, all options appear as they should, but when I open one my sites that I've been working on, the design option isn't there. I only have code, split, and live. When I go to an empty page, the design mode is there. I am new to this and I don't know if this is normal or maybe I somehow changed the settings.  Please help!

In a view to remove big files from a (spam link removed by moderator) repository we had to change public history using BFG.This implies that all developpers should clone it from scratch again to avoid pushing changes from the previous history.Is there way to block the push from developper repo with non-fresh repo ?

When using Format Source Code in a php file it changes this</div> <?php get_footer();?>into this< /div> < ? php get_footer(); ?>Could this bug be fixed? (I just reported this bug, but maybe someone here has a fix?)ThanksDreamweaver 2017.0.1
