Hello!I am a member of the Adobe community. I am currently attending a seminar on the topic Web Development. I signed up for the program Dreamweaver  but made a mistake in the subscription. I needed the program only for 2 months, but I was confused and signed up for an annual subscription. Now I must pay a penalty for canceling my subscription. Is it possible to change the terms of the purchase and pay for Dreamweaver for only 2 months that i was used????? Please and thank you for your understanding.

What's the easiest way to apply an inner shadow to a video, if it can be done at all? (To maintain a very thin shadow over the playback.) Directly applying box-shadow (inset) to the <video> tag didn't work. I even tried doing it through ::before or ::after. It can probably be done by adding a new DIV but I'm trying to avoid the extra markup. PS: The corners of the video are rounded via border-radius.

No need to worry about where a 3rd element would fall, it should always just be 2. Ideally, I'd like to do this using existing selectors like :first-child (perhaps making it float:right on the resize would make it appear last) but if that's too much of an ask, I'd be open to assigning an ID to one or both of the spans. I'm also told Flexbox will reverse order easily without requiring ID tags; but if Grid does it too,

Can I used a media query to set a property when a defined div scrolls into view?Example: image scrolls into view, then rotates a few degrees when centered in the view area. Or: image scrolls slowly until into view, then accellerates when it scrolls out of view (like we had in Muse).

how do I import photo's located on my iphone to my laptop in order to use them in Dreamweaver?

I've made a new navigation bar on one of my web pages (replacing the outdated Spry versions).  How do I copy it to all the other pages on my site?  I've spent hours trying to find this information but without success.A.G.

     

Hi, does anybody know a good resource for learning how to build ebooks?  To start, just something that explains how the head section should be coded would be good, and the main xhtml and css elements for the main content file.  I can't see anything on the internet or in the bookshops.  I don't see how I can start learning this at the moment.  A dreamweaver for ePubs would be good.  Thank you.

I have a Dreamweaver template with a code error that I have corrected repeatedly, and then saved, and every time I open it again the error is back. I have quit the program and restarted, rebooted my entire computer, recreated the site cache, and pretty much anything else I can think of. This is super annoying, since I have to manually correct all new pages created by that template, and then repeatedly ALL 71 PAGES by hand, each time I update the template and it reverts the pages back. I took a movie of the error, posted it to Youtube since I see no way to upload to the thread, but Adobe has stripped that, too. So here's a screen shot which will not show the problem happening at all and is next to useless. 

If you've successfully connected to your server, what does the tiny plug/unplug icon, located on the top of the Files window, do? Can it be affected by the Site > Manage Sites path at all? Matthew

Ever since I installed Ventura this happens. I'll be using DW and if DW has been open for a few hours, when I go to quit the program it just hangs and then I have to do a force quit. Anyone else have this problem?

Hello dear community members, I just switched from the Windows version of Dreamweaver to the Mac version (Windows laptop needed to be replaced). On Windows, I was using an old version of DW (CS4). On the Mac, I have the latest DW 2021 (CC). My issue is : When I open a new file, the file loading is faster. However, when I have to use an image, and I use the insert button, the search window opens. First, the window does not show the root directory for my website, but searches "this mac". The wheel keeps spinning. Once the wheel stops, the results are all over. It takes a long time to get to the correct image.How can I improve this search within dremweaver? Forgive me if this is a silly question. I haven't used Dreamweaver in quite a number of years and I am much more of a hobbiest than anything else.I am maintaining my wife's photography site for her. The page header is common across all pages, while the content may, for my simplicity, run several layers deep in a heirarchy. I would like for things like css, scripts, common elements to be maintained in folders at the site level, so I can always reference the menu css as "/css/menu.css". This works fine in a webserver, but in the Dreamweaver live/split mode it does not find it.I can force it to find the files by using relative links, but I'd prefer not to maintain these.I have defined a local site path, and for images I have created the images folder in the advanced set up.Is there something I am missing, or do I have to revert to relative links - certainly doable, but more maintenance.Thanks 

I have the CDs and the serial number, but looks like Adobe is not allowing to intall this anymore. Previously, I recollect getting an exe installer when you registered the serial key on adobe.com. Now, that option seems no longer available. Its really frustrating as I have the genuine copy with the serial key and everything and its not alowing me to install. Can someone or even Adobe team make changes so we can use genuine old copies which always worked until now!!

I've been in chat with GoDaddy for 2 hours and they seem to think the issue is with Dreamweaver. I try to connect to my remote site and get an FTP error (that the passwords and account do not match) and cannot connect. I tried all the things I could find, verifying the password and account, toggling on and off settings. I even deleted the site in the site manager and made a new one. Still not connecting. Nothing in the FTP log either. GoDaddy did just migrate the site to new servers. Anyone else having the problem?

I am new to using DW21, and want to connect to a MySQL Database, I am using GoDaddy as the Hosting company and have created a Database and Forms using cPanel and phpMyAdmin.I have created a Form in DW21 and want to submit the data to the Database. In previous versions of DW I could setup a Connection, but DW21 seems to be different - or have I missed something?Is the preferred method to have a local database as part of the Site, or to use the SQL database provided by GoDaddy?I will continue to search youtube videos etc but thought I would ask the Community

Hi there,I'm having a hard time using the CSS auto compilation for SCSS. I have just one scss file and it has been working like a charm in my current project for the last month or so, but now I just get the error: NoMethodError: undefined method `[]' for nil:NilClass on line – – and column 1 I can't see any error in my scss what so ever, and Dreamweaver don't give me any input that something should be wrong either. How do I debug this?!

I have only room for one monitor (unfortunately) and use the SPLIT view... but I find this space very limiting for coding. Most of my changes I type in code view, but I like seseing live view update. I would prefer to change from code and live views with the button, but it's a bit slow, so I'm wondering if there is a simple shortcut key to change back and fourth... or if there isn't, can I assign one and where? (Preferences?)

Hi all, I need help with a problem that needs to be solved quickly. I have a website with pages in 3 subfolders, and the dropdown links do not work when clicked on in page within those folders. Here is my folder structure:Main-->first folder-->html pages         -->second folder-->html pages         -->third folder-->html pagesFor the links in the subfolders, I edited the links accordingly, but I am not sure why only the dropdown links on those pages are not working. The single links are working, as do the linked css and bootstrap files, which are in their own css and js folders. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.
