Questions

My students are working on a project and suddenly find that the Properties panel will not allow them to make changes to their websites.  They can open the panel, but cannot click on anything in it.  The educational software they are using (which is designed to mirror tasks from the certification exam) shows easily clicking on it to chage the background image of their nav bar, but none of them are able to do so.  Honestly, I certified on an older version of DW, so I occasionally struggle, but I have done all of the troubleshooting I can think of.  Does anyone have any ideas for why they may all be having the same issue with this feature?  We've reached a stand still.

I have a very old copy of Dreamweaver.  I need to reinstall on my computer.  The activation code was accepted as correct.  However, there was a problem with the internet switched to telephone activation.  When I called the number provided I got a msg. saying that number was no longer valid.  How do I obtain a current phone number for activation?

 Genuine Adobe CS6 Dreamweaver and Photoshop - “Invalid Serial Numbers” . . . Why does dreamweaver take so long to load? I'm talking about more than 5 minutes. I don't have this problem with any other adobe app.PC: i7/32 GB RAM

Hi there,For some reason, when my team and I open our HTML email files in Dreamweaver, the design view loads as if the media query has been applied, even though the window it's loading into is much wider than the media query would apply to.The media query is:@media only screen and (max-width: 559px) {The design view window is much wider than 559px, but when it loads it loads the deisgn view as if the media query is applied.Adjusting the size of the window (the bar between code view and design view) even slightly, reloads the design view properly and fixes it.Seems like a bug!

I downloaded a website template that utilizes a style.css to place a particular image for the background image. I replaced the original default image with the image I want it to display.  That is the only code I changed. It works on Two of 20 pages.  The original image has been deleted and is no longer in the image folder. I named the new image a totally new name which i used to change in the .css file.  However, when I first launch the webpages the background flashes with the correct image and then reverts back to the original image that  no longer exists.  I have cleared my brower history but it still only works for the two pages.   Also, please note it is the same for both in Dreamweaver preview and Chrome Browser. I also, tried viewing in Edge and I had the same result.  Here is the new code in the style.css file:/*MAIN BACKGROUNDS*/.body_pattern { background:#fff url("../images/Background2.png") repeat top center;/* position:fixed;

I just subscribed the 7 days trial for Adobe Dreamweaver on Sunday, 15th January 2023. After filling up my details for the subscription, I got a notice that my bank account's total has been deducted as much as RM94.20 ($21.73) by Adobe. Isn't it suppose to be free? It it stated that I still got 7 days left. So what's up with the money deduction? Can someone help me?

How to have Smooth Caret Animation like in vscode? It's more enjoyable if dreamweaver had also Smooth Caret Animation for smooth typing. 

My HTML/CSS knowledge can best be described as "good enough to get by". I've also (barely) dipped my toe in PHP (mainly to assemble modular pages and use variables). When I was a kid, there was a website that offered to "translate" any block of text into various slangs. For example, Pirate Talk, which would replace all instances of friend or pal with "matey", add lots of "Arrrr"s, etc. Pretty basic stuff, really. I'd like to do something like that : a web page with a large input box which, once submitted, would spit out the same text with a modified slang. I assume this would simply require a bunch of if/then statements : like FRIEND or PAL = MATEY. I would imagine this is easy enough to do in PHP via string search/replace calls, but my PHP knowledge doesn't extend far enough for me to produce the code from scratch. Je m'aperçois que le fait que les formulaires aient une couleur différente du reste du HTML (orange) m'aide énormément à me localiser dans le code.CS3 étant définitivement enterré avec les dernières mises à jour de macOs, je cherche désespérement une solution pour que mon thème dreamweaver 2021 différencie la couleur des “Forms“ du reste du html.J'ai tenté de modifier le main.less, notamment en ajoutant des valeurs pour .cm-forms, .cm-form, .cm-input, .cm-inputs ... mais rien à faire... J'espère avoir été suffisamment clair dans mes explications.  Merci pour l'aide que vous pourrez m'apporter.

Hello,I'm having trouble figuring out why my website looks different live than it does it the Dreamweaver browser preview. It almost seems like the live website is ignoring my styles.css, even though I've gone in and manually reuploaded that file. Hi there, please has somebody information, that Dreamweaver was discontinued or not? Because while all other apps  in CC bundle has actually marked as 2023 version, Dreamweaver is marked still as 2021 version. No new functions or improvements, the Bootstrap version inbuilded, is legacy etc.   I understand that legendary DW already has smaller users community (as a part of designers bundle, wich dont use programmers), but hope, DW isnt another app on the way to discontinued such as Flash, Fireworks, Dimension, Muse, and lot of more great apps is hybernate in CC plan. 

In Dreamweaver 2021 (21.3, 15593 Build) under macOS 13.1, if I magnify the Dreamweaver window contents (using View/Design View Options/Magnification), the text becomes extremely blurry. If I then click on the Desktop, the text in that Dreamweaver window displays normally and is crisp. If I then click back on the Dreamweaver window and then click on the text, it becomes blurry again. This occurs at all magnification values except 100%. This issue didn't used to occur. I've included three screenshots. The first shows the window at 100% with the Dreamweaver window having the focus, and the text looks normal. The second shows the window at 150% with the Dreamweaver window having the focus; the text is blurry. The third shows the Dreamweaver window at 150% with the Finder having the focus; the Dreamweaver window text looks normal again.    

Hi,I use Dreamweaver 8.0.2 (no jokes please 😉 ) on Win10.Since yesterday I have the following problem:- I start DW- the little windos shows what is loading ... at the end it shows: "Inilialisiere Farbdaten für Code..." (engl.: "Initialize color data for code...")And then ... closes immediatly 😞I tried to re-install / repair DW8, but the problem still exists.What can I do?Thanks!!!Uwe
