Hi there, I've just upgraded to 21.2 from a previous version and there's one or two interface things getting in the way and I'm not sure what to call them in order to search for how to turn them off. The main one is that there's now a bar along the left hand side of code view with colours in it dictating changes made or such? Basically when I click the side of a line or the line number to highlight/select that line for copying/deleting it's instead bringing up some old change that I don't want. How do I turn this off and what is this feature called? Here's a screenshot of the bar so you can see what I'm refering to! Any help would be appreciated, thanks! 

When in the "Manage sites" dialog, a click outside of dreamweaver lets the dialog disappear. Dreamweaver is not accessible then anymore and has to be killed via task manager. This is true for the actual 21.2 Windows version, but has been around in at least the previous version. Super annoying of course... Is anybody else observing that?

DW 21.2 / 15523 in Win 11 Thats pretty much it. I want turn off that incredibly frustrating popup save alert!How?  

DW 21.2 / 15523 in Win 11 I like to work in code/live split view. I have created a recordset (RS) in my php based on data in my locahost mysql database. I want to insert a binding into my php page, however: If i click into live view, the RS and binding grey out so i cant drag across.If i click into code view the RS becomnes active (not grayed out) but if i try to drag into code view its nor permitted.  This is not expcted behaviour. It used to work fine in DW versions prior to 21, now I dont see how i can place my binding! What do i need to do to fulfil this requirement please?

I have about 40 DW websites in different client accounts hosted at GoDaddy. I am using a 2019 MacPro with the most up to date version of DW installed and the final version of Big Sur. I am not sure when this started, but it is happening on all my websites. When I click to connect to the various servers it instantly connects. Then when I click to upload changed files to a server, what used to take maybe 15 seconds to compare the files and list those changed files to upload, now takes sometimes 5 or more minutes? The progress bar just starts out "Waiting on server..." and maybe compares one file per progress bar cycle, then says it will timeout at the end of the cycle after multiple attempts, then restarts the progress bar and maybe compares 2 or 3 files thre next cycle. Sometimes take 30 or more cycles to do the compare constantly flashing "Waiting on server..."!  If I use another FTP software like Filezilla, it is as fast as DW used to be? I contacted GoDaddy T

Hello Dreamweaver Pros, I'm experimenting with Bootstrap 5 -- have never really used it but thought I'd give it a try. I'm looking at putting together a page with masonry layout (like Pinterest) using Bootstrap 5 cards and it seems really easy using some Javascript to make it work. However, when I put an embedded tweet into the card there seems to be a problem. It's as if the script pulling up the tweet doesn't load before the other cards and the cards then overlap. I size my browser down to phone view and looks great. I'm going to help other users set up Dreamweaver and map to a server. I would like to cloak certain files and folders without having to manually cloak them individually during each setup. Is there a way to somehow cloak those files on my setup, then save that cloaked configuration in a way that I can use it during these setups?Maybe something like a Git ignore file?Thanks!

Whenever I open up Adobe Dreamweaver, it says to insert a verification code it sent me on an email but the email is wrong. I tried changing the email by creating a new account with my correct email but when I go back it says the exact same thing with the wrong email. The files I attached show what comes up and when I sign in to a different account, it tells me I'm all set but it repeats everything all over again.

After around 5 hours of working ok, my instance of DW 2021 on Win 11 suddenly failed today.First sign was slow opening of application then equally slow opening of my php files. Now DW just makes it to the 'hello again, have a great day panel' (which really needs to be removed - jeez!)the file history list appears, the app goes into a not responding state then after around 2 minutes a DW dialogue pops up "a script in the file UNKNOWN, has been running for a long time. Do you want to continue. Y/N?" absolutely no idea what it is referring to and no other alerts appear. If  i select Yes i can open a php file, however as soon as i attempt to interact DW enters a not responding state again and im back to killing the task. Deleting the wincachefile had no impact. Basically i cant use DW and need guidance on steps to resolve this state.

How can I stop Dreamweaver from uploading dependent files?Every time I save a page I have to patiently wait for all of the page's dependent files to upload, which takes some time. I'm not updating any of the dependent files, just the page itself. If I update severa pages at a time then "Save All" I have to wait a considerable time while the dependent files are re-uploaded, over and over again. Would be much better if they wouldn't upload.  Thanks!

Can anyone tell me how to change the Check out on my website to include a 10% discount to the total that is in the cart. (I use PayPal buttons only). That would automatically discount everything in the cart and then add tax and shipping to that total. Technical support on PayPal is a joke and I have read countless articles this morning but am getting no where! I would even be willing to reprogram every button (sigh) but they are not editable, as far as modifing the code from the Home page of PayPal

Am using CS3 and for no apparent reason, my cssstylesheet.css file is not being recognized.  I don't know DW well enough to know how to get it linked to my pages.  I only have one cssstylesheet for all my pages. Thanks for any help. (And I know CS3 is very outdated, but it works fo rme.)

I am trying to use Dreamweaver 21.2 to develop production server-side (PHP) websites.  We don't really have control of the databases used by ISP's so I am trying to connect to the latest version of MySQL (8.1.2).  First, I had to download new menu items for server-side connectivity (Databases and Server Behaviors) which were removed by Adobe (????????) from the Dreamweaver CC product.  After loading the new scripts I tried to connect with the Window:Databases menu item.  When I attempt to Select from the available databases, I get an error (HTTP Error Code 404).  This error is generated from within the Adobe supplied PHP scripts MMHTTPDB.php and mysql.php.  The server is verified listening on port 3306 on localhost.  Everything but Dreamweaver seems to connect.I was previously burned on the Muse product when support was dropped.  I decided to try Dreamweaver but the lack of server-side connectivity is a show stopper.  The removal of critical

I'm using Dreamweaver CS5 and the link checker is not functioning the way I expect it to (or the way it used to). It seems to be flagging every link as broken unless it is in the same folder as the file I'm checking. For example, if I'm checking file www.example.com/folderA/FolderB/file1.asp and in this file there are links specified like this:1. <a href="/folderA/FolderC/file2.asp">file2</a>2. <a href="../FolderC/file2.asp">file2</a>3. <a href="/FolderA/FolderB/file3.asp">file3</a>4. <a href="file3.asp">file3</a>  The link checker will find only the last one as "OK" but the all the others as broken. Does anyone have an idea of why this is happening and what I need to do to fix it? I'm assuming it's some kind of preference I've set somewhere to not check outside of the existing folder? Thank you for any help.

Hi,I have an image placed inside <header> tags with a class named "main-head" asigned to the <header> as follows...<header class="main-head"><img src="images/MyLogo.svg" alt="My logo"/> </header> ... Currently, when I start out with a small browser viewport and make it larger, the image grows in size as I make the browser viewport larger. I would rather keep it at a fixed size of my choosing.I am wondering if anyone here can tell me if/how I can do this using CSS? Ultimately, I'd like to use media queries to increase the size of the image at specific breakpoints rather than having it grow progressively.  Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance,Paul PS... Hi, I am trying to update my web design skills after not having worked on a website since table based layouts were common. After reading a few books and online resources, I have become fairly comfortable with media queries and using CSS Grid and/or Flexbox to create a reponsive layout. The next thing I'd like to try doing is to create a collapsible "hamburger" menu that will display as buttons in a horizontal row at larger viewport widths, and that will collapse to a hamburger icon at narrower widths.In searching the web for tutorials on how to do this, I have come across some tuturials that use javascript and some that claim to just use .css. I have no experience with javascript, but I have quite a bit of experience with some other programming languages (mainly C++ and visual basic). I think I'll be able to learn javascript (at least the basics) relatively quickly if I set my mind to it. I'm just wondering if anyone here can make a recommendation - should I assume that basic

The FTP window shows the remote files on the left.Filezilla and for many other situations I keep the local stuff (or the original stuff) on the left.Is this possible in Dreamweaver CS6 FTP?

Hello, I am working with DW 21.2 Build 15523See Screen Shot.Issue: I am working with a Nav bar | selected the "Dropdown" text. The only thing showing in the Live View is the List \ .nav-item and \ .dropdown.. Missing from the Live View is the "Action", "Another action"  "Devidor line" and "Something else here". Please share your constructive comments. Thank you in advance for sharing your insight.     

There is a problem that i am having with CC apps. Since I have upgraded to the newest update of Windows 11 I am seeing that I cannot use my apps at all upon just paying for the month as well as over due fees i had; It shows that none of the apps are compatible unless I update my computer or downgrade back to windows 10 wich i cannot do now that its been well over 10 days to do so., i have updated my computer a hundred times and nothing works..im at a block right now and need some relife or tech support..

My Real-time preview doesn't work in any browser. It just gives a loading icon that never stops and says "give us a moment".

Why am I not able to copy/paste within a CSS file?  This has got to be the simplest thing we do.  I have been a software developer for thirty years and this is difficult in Dreamweaver?
