I want to add a delayed popup notification to my homepage that will display our policies regarding covid. I can't seem to get this right .... any help would be greatly appreciated. I create a html file and edit it on DW with "View Mode->Design." I created an html file with a copy and paste from  https://www.w3schools.com/howto/tryit.asp?filename=tryhow_js_collapsible_animate But in the Design view the collapsible does not work. Why? Is is possible to have collapsible in this setting?  

Is that how it is supposed to be?I have not done Dreamweaver in a while and I am starting back up. I have remembered just enough to get into trouble. The most serious problem I have is when has to do with my css sheet. It doesn't effect the page unless I put all the information from my css onto my html page. For every page everytime. I don't remember that but I can't remember what I did before. Help!

Hi. I used to have a webpage on golive. Some years ago I deleted one whole folder in it with underpages. And some other files.It screwed up the page a bit, loosing some files etc. The golive went out of business, and my page I didnt think I could fix it anymore.Then I just recently understood I could downlaod the site to dreamweaver. Not so different. And was very happy! ( I had created a new page in wordpress in between. Though I still link to some pages on the old one.)Now I also found the original webpage in an external harddisk, so I can introduce and fix some of what was lost once.I want to reintroduce the old folder and some other html. and photos laying in a folder on my desktop (with the whole old site) .I tried to follow an instruction video on youtube. But my dreamweaver doesnt seem to accept loading up, though I can choose my desktop on files. the arrows disappear for loading up, when I choose a remote computer and connect to remote.  Can anyone help me with this?H

Dear All I have a simple question (I think).  I have a page on which I have a number of seprate divs with each div containing the logo of a client I have worked for.  In total there are 15 such divs/logos displayed on the page arrranged in a rectangular 5x3 fashion. In the bottom right of the same page I have an empty div (with an id of "summary" and a separate class of its own in CSS) that I would like to use to display a brief summary of the projects undertaken for each client.  I would like the associated text (be this text or a separate image file of the text - it doesn't matter) to be displayed in the "summary div" when the mouse hovers over the associated div containing the client logo with the summary div empty when no mouse over is present. Each of the divs containing the client logos has its own id and class so it should be a very simple task to be able to do this but at the moment this seems to be beyond my current capabilities.  Any suggest

I purchased Dreamweaver from CDW a software company several years ago Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Web Premium - media (Dreamweaver).  The Adobe company is telling me its not a [genuine] copy.  What and who do I contact about this?

How do import my sites to a new pc from Creative Cloud Dreamweaver 2021? I don't have access to the old PC. I've installed DW 2021.

Sometimes I just need to change a word. I just tried to open html in Text Edit (on Mac) and it seemed to then want to force save to rtfd, whatever that is so flummoxed! Thanks.   [Topic edited by moderator for clarity.]

I have been trying toset up a web site. I get this: I can't even erase it!

I'm re-designing via CSS a popular HelpDesk Software hosted on my server.There's a portion on the end-user portal where they can "Attach File"Clicking that button creates a Pop-up window with "Browse" and "Upload".We have a lot of older end-users, so I changed the buttons/text on that Pop-up Window dialogue for "Browse" and "Upload" to be bigger, and now the window isn't big enough, and they have to scroll or resize the window to see the "Upload" button. Since I always design for the least computer savvy individuals, I'd like to resize that window.I'm thinking it's not in CSS, but maybe someone in this forum would know exactly where to start looking?

I have html pages which include PayPal payment buttons which were created using Dreamweaver CS4, but they no longer open in Dreamweaver CS4. The program states 'not responding' and all I can do is close the program.The pages still work correctly online.If I remove the coding for the PayPal button using Notepad, then the page will load in Dreamweaver CS4.Please advise. Something weird has happened to my nav bar. Previously if I clicked on the menu item, the box would drop just from that item, but now my whole nav bar drops. It's like the dropdown box has been set to 100% and so it fills the width of the screen.. I can't for the life of me find the code error and have checked against other websites I've created as well, but the code seems the same. I know it will be a simple error, but I just can't seem to find it anywhere! Can anyone help?

I'm making progress and getting a bit more familiar with the program, but now I'm coming up aginst a rather tricky issue which entails modifying some outside elements for use in Dreamweaver. The specific information that I'm looking for at the moment has to do with W3Schools little "how to" tutorial on hover tabs. If you have a better suggesion I'll listen to it. Background: the old CS6 site which I want to port into the CC2021 version of Dreamweaver has a graphics collection. It's not that well built, I was in the process of learning Dreamweaver when I built it and would like to do it a bit better this time. (No, still not wanting to deal with Bootstrap until I am a good deal more familiar with Dw itself.)  Several pages in the collection have multiple images. I'd rather not make people have to scroll forever to see them all as is the case in the current site. The problem is that the images in the collection are not a uniform size. I just got a new Macbook Pro M1. On my old Macbook Pro i have DW CS6, on the new one i have CC 2021. If i import my website from CS6 to CC 2021 on my new Mac, will i use all the info i have in CS6 and cannot use it anymore? I do want to use CC but am nervous in case i do something wrong. 

I have been using Dreamweaver MX 2004 in Windows 10 for many years with no problems. Yes there is newer better software available but I don't have the time to learn how to use it and prefer to stick with what I know. I have a couple of websites that are very basic and MX 2004 enables me to keep them updated myself without outsourcing to designers. I currently have two websites installed on the software which I will call Site A and Site B. Site A is working fine as usual - update, put, synchronise etc. Site B has recently developed a fault that causes the program to crash whenever I try to connect to the remote server to view files, put or synchronise. Tis happened after I made some edits to the root file index.html and mucked up the code.
