We own several Creative Cloud All Apps licenses. I would like to assign just the Acrobat license wrapped into one instance of Creative Cloud and hold the other apps (Phptoshop, InDesign, etc.) for use by another user. Is this possible? Or do we need stand alone Acrobat licenses to do this?
I download and created a package, then it said After a package is created, copy the .pkg or .msi file to a destination machine and double-click to install it. You may also use a third-party deployment tool. I copied the .msi, double clicked it but it didn't installed.
Hi Community,we installed CC 2017 with Acrobat on Mac OSX 10.12.6 (Sierra) and are unable to disable automatic updates within the applications preferences. We need to disable it, because this workstation is running in an Internet restricted department and if Acrobat is searching for updates on each launch, the application is inaccessible, until the Updater is running in it's timeout. The procedure to disable automatic updates was a working fix for the last versions of Acrobat. This setting is in the application preferences dialog and there is a checkbox to disable automatic updates when unchecked. But the checkbox will activate itself instantly without any possibility for us to keep it in an unchecked state. We will be asked for administrator credentials for installing a mystery helper program, but after entering the credentials the dialog disappears and the checkbox is activated again. Can anyone give us a hint how we can setup Acrobat CC either to disable automatic updates or to
Hey, I have been trying to get a response for this, so far I get directed online to your help section to do so. However the help section in education shows you how to deactivate, re-activate and how to create a new package. However to add new device licences to existing account, you need to call an education reseller speciallist. Then i get given a number:Purchase additional licensesCurrently, the Admin is unable to add (purchase) additional device licenses through the Admin Console. To purchase additional device licenses, call Adobe Business Direct at 800-443-8158 or an Adobe Authorized Education ResellerNote:The Add Licenses button in the Admin Console is only for adding named-user licenses. These are licenses assigned to individual users, unlike device licenses, which are assigned to specific devices. However when i call, they tell me I ca use my admin console and add more devices.... There is no section in the admin console to add more devices, then the agents send me back to the we
I own a K12 License which I got cheaply from my school. It was indeed complicated and a pain in the ass in setting it up, but now all my creative cloud application run smoothly. Except after effects - while all other application start perfectly, after effects tells me that my trial version is expired and that I need to buy a license. I have already tried the RemoveVolumeSerial - AdobeSerialization approach like a friend told me. What else can I do to get my after effects up & running? Thanks in advance, greetings from GermanyVincent
Hello,I created an Adobe Acrobat DC Creative Cloud installer (Device licensing). In that process I specified to disable updates. I tried to use the Customization Wizard to modify the created MSI (as I've done for previous Acrobat Pro installs) but it does not open and says it isn't supported. From there I deployed the installer via 'setup.exe --silent' and all seemed well. Adobe Acrobat appears to be automatically installing updates, though.I have downloaded the Group Policy Templates and specified to disable updates but that does not work. I can modify the registry setting via the Group Policy Preference information they gave but I'd like to avoid this if possible.Any thoughts? These were the URL's I was referencing:Windows Updates Group Policy-Active Directory — Enterprise Administration Guide

Thank you in advance!
HiHow do we deactivate more than 200 devices from CC device licenses? Is there an automatic way to do this? With a new school start these licenses must be activated on new clients for new students.
Hi,I recently canceled my CC membership because I got an enterprise ID from my university. However, I realized I needed to transfer my files from Adobe Story to my new enterprise account. Anyone know how to do this?Steven George
we have 7 licenses for our office / studio, appropriately named Adobe1, Adobe2, ... , Adobe6, Marketing. Our pain point is figuring out which team member is logged into which license at any given time. Because we all use these licenses at different points in the day, very often none are available because folks forgot to log out. The end result I'm aiming for is for the ability to 1) know who's logged in (possibly through the computer name?) and 2) remotely log them off. Is this possible? Thank you.
Hi,I'm in the midst of implement the above and have successfully claim the parent domain (contoso.com) and following the steps in Enterprise Help | Configure Microsoft AD FS for use with Adobe SSO . However, I realized that the other AD users in the child domain (student.contoso.com) have an email address of xxx@student.contoso.com and their "Last Name" is empty in the Active Directory. How do I go about configuring SSO for the student.contoso.com domain given the above scenario? Thanks.
Hey folks, how can I enable a user to make changes in a Dashboard in the Adobe Workspace without giving them admin rights?I know that one can copy a Dashboard and then make changes but I would like to skip that extra step, as it confuses some people.Thank you for your help!
Is anyone able to help? We're preparing to push out Reader DC 2017 (Version 2017.012.20095) to our users but have found that we're unable to make the Arrow/Text Selection tool stick as the default.Opening a document, or opening the Application and opening a document both result in the Hand tool being selected.Previously this behavior could be corrected using the aDefaultSelect registry key (as per Preference Reference for Acrobat and Adobe Reader) but this no longer seems to be the case.It is hard to believe this is by design...[Question moved to the Enterprise Deployment (Acrobat and Reader) forum. -Mod.]
I made the mistake of signing into about 12 new units with my user id that dell distributed via digital download. All of a sudden last week issues started popping for the people to sign in. They have been using all along. It is an issue with my user id now also of too many sign in. How do I delete my user id and install another? I did not get any of the serial numbers during the downloads for Dell. Support advised me on the serials I have but not to identify and change on each unit. Thank you in advance.
Using the Adobe Customization Wizard, I am trying to remove the "Make Adobe Acrobat my default PDF application" prompt on program start. I have tried adding the Feature Lockdown "bDisablePDFHandlerSwitching" Dword to the package, but am still prompted to set after install. The default PDF application is currently set to Reader DC in Windows (though not enforced through policy). Windows 10 LTSB if that makes any difference. The reason for this is I am trying to create an Adobe Pro DC App Volume for use in our VDI environment. These non-persistent machines are destroyed on logout and a new machine is provisioned each time the user logs in. I would like to avoid having the user prompted every day.Alternatively, if someone knows where the setting is actually written were I to click "Don't ask me again" (registry, %programdata%, user profile, etc), that would be a big help.Cheers.
Hello Adobe Forum members; How can we be better notified that an update of any kind is about to happen prior to it occurring? We run an Adobe Authorized Training Center and just had an instance where our 2-day class had access to Typekit fonts on one day, but the next day the feature became unavailable because there is an update to Creative Cloud. We were NOT notified of this update being scheduled. It just happened during class. This is a huge problem to us as it's a waste of time during classes.Once more to clarify: Is anyone aware of a feature or some type of way to be better notified of updates in Creative Cloud before they happen? Thank you!
For Adobe Reader, all the registry keys which are added with the Adobe Customization Wizard are automatically added to each user. Unfortunately, it is not the same with Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.They registry keys have to be stored in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\2015\Installer\Migrate to be automatically added in the HKCU of the user at its first launch of the application. But they are stored in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\[RegistryHiveName]\Installer\Migrate, as we can see on the screenshot below:The problem is probably coming from one of the custom actions. The variable RegistryHiveName is not translated. I didn't make a lot of research, but waiting on a solution from Adobe, I made a PowerShell script which move the registry keys to the correct place: Move-Item -Path 'HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\`[RegistryHiveName`]\Installer\Migrate\*' -Destination 'HKLM:\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\2015\Installer\Migrate' -fo
I have installed Adobe Acrobat XI on 3 citrix servers but when attempting to open a pdf in acrobat the following error occurs: I followed instructions on another post and installed Adobe Application manager version 10 but the same error still occurs. What can I do to fix this issue?
Ok, I am in need of some guidance on activating my licenses for adobe acrobat DC.Adobe support can't seem to wrap their heads around this when I call/chat with them but here is the situation. I have a single adobe account that I manage all of my users licenses with. I have bought 4 single Adobe Acrobat DC licenses, 1 adobe acrobat pro DC license and I also have one creative cloud membership all under this account. What I am running in to is I will install the adobe acrobat dc standalone installer and it takes my license to install it and completes successfully. However when I launch acrobat I wants me to "sign in" to my adobe account. First time I did this was fine didn't care. However now I am seeing that what is happening is when I "sign in" it is activating it under my creative membership and NOT the single license I inputted. Obviously this becomes an issue after just 2 activations and am having a hard time trying to activate my single licenses. I have tried bypassing the sign on but
I'm having trouble with making Adobe Reader DC (17) open PDF files directly inside IE instead of opening the desktop app. In previous version of Reader there used to be a button in the "Internet" options under the settings menu that said something like "View PDF in browser", or something like that. However, in DC that option is no longer available. I have searched the internet for many hours, but I have not found any solution to the problem. The PDF ActiveX addin in IE is already enabled.Thanks//Johan
I went through the processes on the page and it did not work. I have to get all the computers setup for our Media Classes by Friday. Please advise. Our college paid for a full subscription and it says "Try" instead of install next to After Affects and about 12/19 applications. Please Advise.
With Acrobat Pro XI standard practice was to install Reader. Is the same true for Acrobat DC users?
I am deploying via SCCM Adobe Acrobat DC enterprise wide. I need to suppress the prompt to set Acrobat as default when the user 1st opens it. I am in a mix environment of Windows 7 and 10. Even when user has admin rights, you can't set is default with this prompt. It appears the only way to change the default in Win 10 is through the control panel so this prompt isn't useful at all. I have tried suppressing the FTE but it still comes up. I have tried various ways with Adobe DC Customization Wizard but no luck so far. I have set "Installer will decide which product will be the default" - this leaves Reader as the default. Which is preferable "Make Acrobat the default PDF viewer" changes it to Edge. The DISM method sets the default for future profiles but not for current profiles, unless I am missing something. Has anybody been able to suppress the prompt in Windows 10?
