Questions

Hello,we have made several substance materials with scanned bitmaps that we want to use in other applications like VRED. We have used the template "specular - glossiness".If we import the sbsar files into VRED, the materials are always much too reflective and it doesn't matter how dark or light the input bitmaps are. They have no effect.Has anybode an idea ?Thanks in advance. 

Blender Version : 3.4.1Hi, I just installed the Substance3D plugin for Blender with the Integration Tools. Most of the materials work perfectly well, but I just tried a facade material (Called "Dirty Concrete Block Building" in the marketplace) and the glass windows do not show up in Blender, instead showing the brick wall. (See attachment). I tried opening the .sbsar in Sampler and it works fine. Any idea why this isn't working as intended in Blender ?Thanks ! 

I'm using Blender 3.4.0 and Windows 11. I have downloaded and installed the latest version of the Substance plugin and its Integration tools. I've also tried reinstalling several times and all I get is a black material. Even the preview of the material shows up as black. I am seeing an error in the command window but then it also says at the end that the material loaded correctly. Below is a screenshot of the error.I've only found one other person with the exact same problem who posted on the Blender reddit a few days ago with no luck, but they posted a video. I've encountered a bug while using the Substance3DInBlender addon, and it has a simple fix. In the function "RefreshLoadedSBSARData" in the "persistance.py" file, in line 170, it tries to get mat.name for each material slot of every object in bpy.data.objects. The problem is, if an object has an empty material slot, it will return None for "mat" (it won't skip the empty slots) and the script gives an exception and stops working because it tries to get the ".name" attribute of a NoneType object. The exact line that breaks the script is:sbsarIndex = bpy.context.scene.loadedSbsars.find(mat.name) It is simply solved by continuing the for loop if "mat" is None, by adding something like this before the line above:    if not mat:        continue

Hello, I installed SUbstance addon for Blender and its preferences look very different from what they should look like. In my preferences they are like that: As for the internet ones they're like that: I installed several versions including several Integration Tools versions, even the latest ones have the smae different options. Whats happening? Thx!

Will the Substance Addon for Blender work with the version of Octane Blender?  Will it download the materials into the Octane required material format or does it ONLY work with Cycles & Eevee renderers? Xolotl Studio's Substance Painter Live Link works with both Cysles, Eevee, and Otoy's Octane Blender version.  

I downloaded the plugin from the bottom of this page https://www.adobeprerelease.com/beta/68A24EE2-2EA8-416F-D95B-23B8E64E5DE8# all platforms prerelease v7,  installed it in Blender>edit>preferences> addons. I downloaded the integration tools, Mac-Substance 3D Integration Tools v. 1.4.3, from this page as well. https://www.adobeprerelease.com/beta/68A24EE2-2EA8-416F-D95B-23B8E64E5DE8#. When I enable the addon and click "update tools" it does nothing. No window pops up, nothing shows up in the log.I disabled and removed the plugin, deleted the zip and restarted the computer before redownloading and trying to reinstall several times. I've gone to activity monitor and force-quit every single process related to adobe or substance and tried again. I can’t install Substance3DInBlender, in fact, into the blender itself, an error pops up, and whatever I do, it doesn’t help, I have no strength anymore. Please help, I really need this program for my work

Hi, I'm new to the Blender/ Substance space I would like to know more about the Substance 3d add-on for Blender. Can I use it in the process of creating 3d art for my social media pages? Do I have to exclude it if I was to create a walkthrough process video of my artworks? I don't want to infringe on the license since it is still in pre-release testing phase. 

Adobe, it's been almost 2 mounth since UE 5.1 was released. Are you going to update the Substance plugin, or is it abandoned?

Hi, Does anyone know if there is a update for the substance plugin for Corona 9  in 3dsmax?  I'm unable to convert the Substance materials to Corona using the substance plugin in 3dsmax. I recieve a prompt saying that I need to make " Corona the primary renderer" even though it  is. I didnt have this problem until I upgraded to Corona 9. Thanks,Phillip 

Installed the latest version of Blender 3.3.1, installed the latest plugin release from the linkhttps://substance3d.adobe.com/plugins/substance-in-blender/. Before installing the plugin, which also did not work, I deleted it, I posted the folder with scripts. Still doesn't work. Attach video.

Hi 🙂I have the following problem: I installed the Substance 3d Blender addon on my Mac and then tried to continue installing the integration tool, but I always get an error saying that i have to install version 1.4.3 as an update, which is exactly the version I downloaded and tried to install before.Is there anything I'm doing wrong?Thanks for any help,Lias

What's going on with this? We pay thousands of dallars for your products and we can't even use them. I don't understand how Adobe doesn't have the resources to update a plug-in originally made by one guy. Can I get some information please?

Version 1.01 seems to always export the same maps, regardless of what is selected in preferences or in the output filter. Also, there seems to be no option to *not* export the spec/gloss maps? Integration Tool v. 1.4.5; blender 3.3.1.

Hi,I'm the developper of the Octane Renderer plugin for 3dsMax.The Substance plugin only convert to Octane 3.06, released 5 years ago..Our customers are asking for a better support of our new features.Our latest version (2021.1.6) has several new materials and textures (like the Universal material, Metallic material, layered materials) that would improve the conversion from Substance.Also, our next release (2022.1) will add a Standard Surface material.Do you have plans to update the support for Octane ?Could I get in touch with the Substance plugin developpers to discuss technical details or licence arangmenents, if that can help ?Thanks in advance,Christophe

The Integration tools won't install on Mac. Is it an Apple Silicon issue? Is there any way around this? Thanks
