ive been trying to save this file for the past 3 hours and ive not been able to get anything  done i keep getting the below and itd not getting fixed

Illustrator used to be my top platform to create graphics, but the more new updates that come out, the worse the product is. On a daily basis, I have issues with vectors glitching out and not showing, random crashes or lags, or the app will overwrite a file. I'm frustrated that all the updates revolve around generative Ai; why would I come to Illustrator if I wanted to create something with Ai. The more problems I have, the more I am inclined to use outside platforms like Canva. Adobe has a lot of issues with their programs, but this by far is the worst. Please Adobe, I'm begging you to improve the bug issues with all apps, especially Illustrator, or you will lose customers.

I'm trying to match a feature between a plan drawing and an isometric drawing that shows the direction of travel. I've uploaded some screenshots to try and show and illustrate what I'm trying to do. What would be the best way of doing this? I don't want to manually draw the arrows if I can avoid it, and it would be great if there was some way to create a scatter brush like thing. I made a brush for the plan drawing where I could just draw the line I want and the arrow shapes populate from that. As an additional challenge, there will be arrows going in every direction and so I'm not sure how to go about this since I'm essentially trying to emulate the isometric perspective on a 3d object. Any help is great!  

hey, so no matter what i tried, i don't have this option to set the text direction anymore (both windows and mac). anyone has an idea on how do i get it back?i tried following this article, but there is no info about this missing option PLEASE HELP 😞 

There is a linked raster underlay in my artboard. I would like to create a solid white region over unneeded areas ofthe raster image. Can I use the edges of the encompassing vector objects to quickly create a fill to cover this?

I have a Wacom Intuos Pro medium-sized graphics tablet as part of my home setup (connected to an Alienware 17" notebook). I've run into an issue with the new version of Adobe Illustrator 2025. I'll be working on a document and using animated zoom and in a matter of minutes whenever I use the zoom function the view on the screen just flakes out. The view of the page radically overshoots into black and I can't bring the page into view again. The application ends up pretty much locked up at that point. I have to hit Ctrl+Alt-Delete to bring up Windows' Task Manager to end the process. Then I connect my wireless mouse to get my work finished.Anyway, this definitely looks like a new bug between the current Wacom Tablet driver and the new, general release version of Illustrator. I'm not seeing the problem in the v29.1.93 beta, but I'm going to do more testing to see if I can re-create the problem there.

I have multiple paths in a layer, and I am selecting all elements on that layer. It shows that they all have the same properties: same fill colr, and same opacity. So why when I click the individual shape, is the opacity different?  

I have a problem with my adobe illustrator. When i add a photo in my document is freezes in my loading screen. Also when i want to save my file the whole saving screen freezes.  This is not on a specific document. It happends with al my documents. I already tried updating software en uninstall the adobe illustrator app.  Can someone please help me?

Hi guys, I have a blue QR code. I'm trying to make the blue in this image pitch black. The white background obviously needs to stay white. I tried converting it to grayscale and then adjusting the color balance but this colores my white background as well. This is probably really easy but I'm a newbie and can't figure it out. Tengo un texto puntual (Point Type), y cuando varío el tamaño de alguno de los caracteres, se produce un centrado en el sentido vertical, desplazando las letras de la línea base.Generé estilos de párrafo y de carácter para tener un resumen de todas las características del texto, y no consigo dar con el comando que genera esta variación.No se trata de la tipografía ni de sus variantes. En el ejemplo, utilicé Arial, a modo genérico.Probé todo lo vinculado al panel de alineación y de Area Type…Tampoco ChatGPT pudo identificar cuál es el problema en esa línea.¿A alguien más le ocurrió esto?Puedo generar un texto nuevo, de cero, sin ese efecto. No es ese el problema. Mi objetivo es saber cuál es la función, porque me podría ser útil en otros trabajos.Gracias 

Hi all! Im trying to make a pattern that can be cut by a cnc (rhino, enroute, etc.) but when I make a pattern in the swatches it takes away my object paths and just makes it into pixels. Is there a way to keep the paths in the pattern in illustrator? I can always create new paths over the pixel pattern but thats annoying and will take longer than I'd prefer. Big Thank

I use Windows desktop. What is the reason sometimes LOCK command is not available in the dropdown of Object menu bar but hot key works [Ctrl+2]? 

I used Image trace on a PDF.  Instead of tracing over the lines on the PDF, Image trace appears to have created shapes in the spaces between the lines.  So, I was wondering if anyone could help me refine the results.  The three attachments are the original PDF, the Image Traced PDF, and the elements I get when I import the Image Traced PDF into microstation and turn off the fill.

 When I first open Illustrator, my library works fine. After a certain amount of time, it becomes a static image where I can't click on anything and when I resize the panel, it just elongates or skews the panel like it is an image. This is not true of any other items in my tools. The only way to fix it is to fully quit Illustrator and reopen. It was just happening in Illustrator, but recently has started happening to my InDesign as well.

Hello,Recently, this pop-up has shown up on my machine. IS there a way to disable it?I work with many layers of groups in my work. It is often that I ungroup a few layers at a time, like 3 of 4 or 4 of 6. But this pop-up keeps popping up. Yes, I get that there is a way to ungroup all at once, but that's not what I'm doing.  Any help would be appreciated! 

When I apply the 3D and materials with the extrude and bevel to my logo the edges are pixelated. How do I smooth out the edges?

I can't recount how many times illustrator has lost my files/progresses.I've set the "Automatically save recovery data" to every 2 minutes, and yet it never does,it varies from 10 minutes to an hour or longer, or sometimes simply never saves anything, it gets particularly worse with files that haven't been manually saved.I just lost another 30 minutes of progress again because of it, and it's absolutely ridiculous.I even tried going in to the recovery file folder to check if it saves my files, and it's like I described above, it's never consistent.why has this never been fixed?

With the recent update, it appears that one of my customers has been having an issue with creating grouped objects using clipping masks and opacities. Here is the issue she is having: "The issue began Friday, June 27 around 10 AM, almost immediately after I had updated my Illustrator.  I was working on a file ([DO NOT OPEN] File1) where I was copying artboards from an existing file over ([DO NOT OPEN] File2). The first issue I had was a freeze after I tried transforming a simple shape. After that issue, I couldn’t save the file or move or create shapes. This issue then expanded to all illustrator files I opened." We were able to resolve the initial issue by reinstalling Illustrator 2025, but the issue keeps happening when she tries to create the group object, even if she does it from scratch. Attached are the two files that were causing this issue and an example of the grouped object that she was using. Has anyone else had a similar issue with the new update?

Hey everyone, I've updated my version of illustrator earlier this week to 24.1 on Mac OS 10.15.4 and I'm having an issue that I can't manage to find a solution for. Basically, whenever I try to save any files on my main hard drive I get a pop-up saying "Can't save the illustration. .278". I've managed to find a work-around where I can just save my file to my external hard drive and copy it after on my main drive, but it's still really annoying to have to do every time I have to save my file.

Hello, Since updating my illustrator to version 27.0.1 my colors have been muted/dull and even after uninstalling Illustrator, and reinstalling with the updated version 27.1.1. I can open old files and the colors are still vibrant but when creating anything new the colors are dull. I have tried to change my color settings in illustrator itself but the colors are either duller or overly saturated. I even tried to use Adobe Bridge to control the colors by choosing monitor color but that did nothing to change to muted colors. I am not sure if this is just an illustrator bug or if I am doing something to cause my colors to be so off but I need my colors to go back to normal and to not be dull or over saturated. You can see in the screenshot what the blue should look like but when the rectangle shape is filled with that blue it is a very dull different color. 

I am a long-time user of Adobe Illustrator and I’d like to report a usability issue I’ve encountered in the 2024 version of the software.In previous versions, when browsing fonts, I was able to pick up from the last selected font when re-opening the font list. For example, if I selected a font starting with the letter "J", and then decided to change it again, the font list would open starting from that same position ("J"), allowing me to continue browsing without unnecessary repetition.However, in the 2024 version, this behavior seems to have changed. Now, every time I re-open the font list, it resets and starts from the top (letter "A"), regardless of which font was previously selected. This causes a significant loss of time, as I have to scroll through fonts I’ve already seen to return to where I left off.This change negatively impacts my workflow. What should I do?Best regards.

Hi Adobe Community,I’m facing a recurring issue with Adobe Illustrator. Whenever I open any file and start working, everything functions normally for the first 15–20 minutes. But after that, the screen blinks once, and then Illustrator automatically disables the GPU Performance mode.This happens consistently with every file. Once the GPU mode turns off, the performance drops significantly. If I close the file and reopen it, everything works fine again—for another 15–20 minutes—before the issue returns.I’ve been facing this problem for a long time now, and it’s really affecting my workflow. I would appreciate it if someone could help me identify the cause or suggest a permanent solution.Thank you!
