Questions

Can someone please tell me how to disable these “discover” pop ups that keep showing up in the top right hand side of my illustrator panel?  they get in the way of my work, usually are just advertising adobes firefly features, or trying to take over my work. (no, i don't want you to generate my vectors for me. I’m learning vectors don't take my learning away from me). please help. ive spent a significant amount of time trying to get rid of the pop ups and this one i cant figure out.

I don’t see the “Dynamic Text” feature on this drop-down menu to use

Please help me with this error i continue to get while attempting to save my work in Illustrator CS3 "Acrobat PDF Format is having difficulties. The dimension of this page are out of range" The original artwork was massive so i figured it could have been because of the size. I scaled the artwork down by 70% but got the same message. I then created a new document which was A3 in size, I copied the artwork over to the new A3 doc in a single layer but the error still continues. I have never seen this kind of error before and i cannot work out how to solve the issue - I need to save this work! Please help

Avant je faisais une sélection de plusieurs liens puis "Rééditer le lien" et une fenêtre s'ouvrait autant de fois que j'avais sélectionné de liens. Maintenant quand je sélectionne plusieurs liens une fenêtre s'ouvre uniquement pour le premier lien et c'est tout... que puis-je faire pour que ca remarche comme avant? Merci d'avance de votre aide

Are there basic controls for some minor photo editing light lightening photos that are too dark or anything?  Not looking for anything as extensive as Photoshop, just a few basics

Why does Illustrator on Mac store linked file paths as absolute/volume-anchored instead of relative to the .ai file — breaking every link when I move the project folder — when the same folder structure stays linked correctly on Windows? Is there a setting to force relative path linking, or can this be added as a feature?Example of my folder structure:/ProjectName  /dsgn    project_dsgn_v01.ai    project_dsgn_v02.ai  /lib    image1.psd    image2.psd

How do I add the Pantone library to my color book in Adobe Illustrator currently operating in version 30.8.1. 

I have an index page, which I created in Illustrator that I am attempting to export to photoshop.  The problem is that when I open the Photoshop file, it has all been flattened into a single layer.  I made sure "flat image" is not selected in the export options.  Furthermore, I always get a pop up message that says "Some containers in the AI document have been flattened," every time I export.  The document is a single artboard with 9 layers (each layer representing a different element on the index page).   Any suggestions would be appreciated.   Thanks,   Paul

Cropping an image was a simple tool a year ago or so.  Now, when you select the area to crop, you have to very, very careful that your box doesn’t go beyond the bounds of the image. If it does, then AI wants to charge you money to generatively extend the image.  I have worked diligently to avoid triggering this generative extension, but just now I got lazy and I pressed click too fast, and now it is generating an image just a few pixels beyond the image.  Dear Adobe,  I want you to refund whatever credit you are going to charge me for this.   This is a deceitful way of shoving AI down people’s throat.   This kind of trickery is why so many people a sick of AI. 

I cannot change my styles in illustrator to show digits correct in RTL languages.We use to have a lot of texts with digits and values and they should show up "LTR ARABIC (0123...).I have already downloaded additionally another Illustrator-VersionBut anyway, my numbers are wrong with each and every setting.By the side - I can't see any "Type - advanced" settings in the preferences - shouldn't there be any for middle-eastern text? Do I have downloaded the wrong version?Please for your help - what I'm doing wrong here?If I type only a number, it stays correct. If I add text, the number flips to RTL:I also tried to manipulate the numbers by a certain character style. If I put that style only on a number within the text, I have changes to the complete text. Hi, I know that this has been discussed in other posts, but there doesn't seem to be a definitive answer for this. In the attached I'd like to align the white stroke to the inside, but as you can see in the appearance panel that option is not available. How can this be remedied? Thanks!

Share for review comments are somtimes misaligned - about 5mm below the actual comment.In the case of text errors usually few lines below the actual error-comment. Web inteface shows the comments in the right place, but something bad happens when illustrator reads the comments back in. Its presistent in every illustrator version i have. The same bug keeps following me in different illustartor versions. Im not sure what is causing this. One time i suspected some file specific bug, but it keeps reappearing in newly created files. Might it be related to bleed settings? I dont know. But tis bug makes share for review feature quite ununseable for serious design professionals.

There are no late payments on my account and InDesign (Beta) is still functioning normally. Does anyone know how to fix this? My computer is running on ARM. I'm stressing, I have an assessment due tomorrow!!! 

When you select type, AI highlights it. One of many problems is that the highlight changes the visual color of the text, making it difficult to adjust the color of a portion of text since you can't see the changes in real time. AI lets you to hide selections using view>hide edges (or shortcut). It's supposed to work for type also, but many users have pointed out that it doesn't in their versions for whatever reason. I'm using AI 2020 v24 and this is the case for me as well. I experimented to see if there were quick workarounds and hide edges works properly on type:When Preview on CPU is enabled instead of  GPU preview.When either Overprint preview or Pixel preview are enabled. All options under the view menu. I don't know if there are other workarounds or how well known these already are. I just noticed so many people still searching across the web for an answer to this just like I was, so I decided to post my solution in case it helps someone!

I have a drawing of multiple railway lines that was sketched over from Google Maps. I now need to expand the tracks asymmetrically to I can annotate certain features. If all the tracks were parallel it would be perfectly easy, but they’re not.The existing drawing is to-scale and good for an overall understanding of the complex. What I now need to do is create something that’s still close to scale horizontally, but expanded vertically to allow the annotations beside each track.The Illustrator file will be placed into InDesign, and I tried using InDesign to expand the drawing, however everything is skewed in doing so, which I don’t want. I've been having a problem with Illustrator CC for over a week now on my Windows 11 PC. Everytime I click on the scroll bar to drag my view, it doesn't stop dragging once I lift my mouse and I have to force quit Illustrator. I've reinstalled Illustrator, but it's still happening. I can't find anything on other sites about this issue. Can someone help?

Hey everyone! I have run into this issue many times over the years and figured I'd post about it. I'm currently working in Illustrator 2020. When using either the Rotate or Reflect tool, Illustrator often gets stuck. What I mean by stuck is that after trying to rotate or reflect some artwork the tool remains active as if you never released right click. This makes it so that every subsequent movement just rotates around the artwork you were orginally trying to transform. If you try to click elsewhere in the program, nothing happens. This locks the software up for a few minutes until eventually illustrator releases from the rotate tool and only then can you continue to work. There is also the issue where, if you try to change the rotational axis, the center point gets stuck to the cursor and the program is stuck in a similar fashion. I've stopped trying to move the rotational axis since it now seems to happen almost every time do that with GPU preview turned on. I kno

I would love to use some of thes step by step tutorials in illustrator for my students. Every time I try to access the tutorials they cant be found. Whats going on here? Is this a known issue? For example I will use this video link on adobe.  https://www.adobe.com/learn/illustrator/in-app/jump-into-color?learnIn=1 When I click on the link to begin the tutorial, I get this error. This is with any of the videos like this one from adobe.
