Hey, hoping someone here can help me out. I just switched to a new MacBook Pro with the M4 chip, and every time I try to save an Illustrator file to Adobe Cloud after editing, I get an error and it won’t let me save. My internet connection’s solid, the Mac is new, i have enough memory in the cloud, so I’m not sure what’s causing it… 

Just got my new MacBook Pro with the M3 Max chip and 128GB of RAM, but it's lagging like crazy—spinning beachball, slow selection, and a long delay between typing and seeing anything on screen. I’ve closed everything else and only have Illustrator open with a simple vector file and a bit of text. GPU Performance is on, so no clue what’s going wrong. On my old M2 with 64GB of RAM, I could have multiple files open and fly through projects no problem. Any ideas? Specs attached :     

Quick question - Ive paid for my account for the past 3 or 4 years but recently I have missed the last 4 months payment since Ive been out of work. Do I have to pay the last 4 months plus the current month to get access again, or will they let me just pay the current month? I have the Annual - Paid Monthly plan.

Hi All I foolishly reset my preferences  in Illustrator to try and get rid of a stroke scaling issue, and I've realised that my extensive list of starred / favourite fonts has disappeared. Is there any way to get them back? I've searched the web but I cant find anything concrete. Holding thumbs. Thanks in advance.

Hi, I am losing sanity. I am getting this when ever I use Illustrator for my work. I dnt understand what is causing it, please someone tell me what I should do.

Illustrator 2025 suddenly crashes every time I attempt to add text wrap to a graphic placed there.  Have tried with different images.  Have restarted.  When it freezes with "not responding" I don't get the option to send a report with diagnostics, so here is this post.  Windows 11.  

Hi community, I'm just trying to add a soft return (as line break) by script, but always end up with a "normal" line break. Does anybody know the expression for soft returns?   Thanks in advance Nils

I had a crash about gpu performance and when i reopened the file it didnt show but was still there which is when i changed it to black it shows again but any white and it turns transparent. i've attached a video of what I mean but please ask if you need further information.

Hi, I am working in illustrator and trying to use the libary but it will not let me. It is deformed and I can not click on it.  What is going on???????? is this illustrator or just my laptop not having a good day?

So I've created a logo for a client, and part of it needs to have a colour gradient along a curved stroke. When finalising the design, I've outlined the stroke as you should, but my problem is Illustrator creates a gradient mesh of the outined stroke with the colour gradient, and when this is exported as (i.e.) an SVG, it looks awful/pixellates as apparently Illustrator can't create vectors of gradient meshes, and instead embeds an image of it? Is there a workaround?I suppose I could outline the stroke, and then turn it into a clipping mask the a gradient shape behind it, but it won't be exactly right as the gradient really needs to follow the path of the stroke which goes around a circle and along a straight line. 

Hi,I'm using Illustrator 2025 on OS 15.3. I've read all the posts on this and have changed all my guides accordingly. I've also restarted Illustrator. The pink smart guiades are showing but the green glyph guides are not. Some of my text has been Outlined and others have been Expanded. Thanks,Sonya

I feel struggling with this issue. I have tried to switch from GPU to CPU preview, asset formet, updated but still not working. How should I do? I turn on the opacity & mask define knockout shape and it shows transparent. However when I export jpg, the png part becomes jpg too.

I usually export all files as PNG to share easier through email, text or other messaging services.  I am not unable to export as "png" as it just shows a blank area when previewing what the PNG will look like.  Does not matter if the background is white, black or transparent it shows nothing as if there isn't an image being exported.  Please offere any advice if you've had this happen or simple troubleshooting that i can use to try to fix this.

Hi there,I need to group my text and drop shadow so they are BOTH in front of the yelow image.   Right now, the drop shadow is behind the yellow image and the text is in front of the image......what am I doing wrong??? Thanks!

Illustrator crashes every time I open it (first screenshot) - or if I get it open - try opening a file (second screenshot). I've tried EVERYTHING on the crash issues (https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/fix-crash-on-launch-issues.html?linkId=100000347817406) page. NOTHING works. I'm having this problem on both my Mac laptop and desktop. I'm on the most recent version - 29.3.1.

Since updating to a new computer, both Illustrator and Photoshop are displaying white as either grey or blue.This does not go away when exported, placed, saved as a different file format, etc.I am unsure if this is a color settings issue, or something else.I've tried changing the settings to see if anything would change. The color will shift from blue to a grey, but will not display white.

I am running CS4 Master Suite on Mac 10.5.8 and in other CS versions of Illustrator, I could select the image I just placed and click "Edit Original" and the image would then open in Photoshop. Now the "Edit Original" is grayed out. I am sure it's a simple setting I am overlooking and I tried to search the forum, but get an admin error when trying to search the forum no matter what info I add in the search field. It seems the forum is all Adobe what's to give us as far as tech support....and now it is giving errors!Mark

I'm using macOS Monterey 12.6.1 and Adobe Illustrator 27.1.1. I am trying to use the import options to place a layered Photoshop file but when I go to File/Place and check the box "Show Import Options" Illustrator doesn't bring up the dialogue box for the import options. It goes directly to place the Photoshop file. The other boxes (Link and Template) are unchecked when I go to File/Place. I tried checking and unchecking all the boxes to see if that would make a difference and my computer has been restarted, also, but the import options still aren't showing up.  Any help or advice greatly appreciated!

I created a custom bar chart (attached) and the doc displays with the assigned colors within AI, and pdf exports show the same range of colors as well. But, Mac Sonoma now displays the .ai thumbnail as monochrome in all views. It didn't do this yesterday.  I rebooted the system in Safe Boot, then restarted and opened the doc, saved it.  No change in the issue. So, the file is fine and no issues with workflow, but strange that my iMac 24 (Sonoma) suddenly started doing this. Thoughts?

When using the 'Envelope Distort' > 'Make with Top Object' tool to fit text to a shape, how can you control the letter density to position them the way you want ?
