Hi, I noticed that Illustrator 2025 convert automatically RGB images to cmyk when generating pdf. Ai 2024 was keeping images in its original mode. Any idea? Thank you,

Ive contacted apple. They tell me to contact Adobe Illustrator. Adobe tells me its Apple mouse issue. Some im kinda stuck in the middle not sure what to do. Ive alwys used the zoom with scroll wheel option when working with illustrator. But for some reason ive checked all the settings they are all correct. But still wont work with apple magic mouse 2. Ive connected other mouse and they work with wheel scrool. Its only the apple mouse. Small but frustrating issue. Please help.

I've been using Adobe products since 1993 and have had different issues and troubleshot many for people, etc. My workstations are usually custom built PCs specifically built for Adobe (and my budget) since it is how I make my living.I've been super excited about how to incorporate AI into my workflows and have been using MidJourney as well as Photoshop's Generative Fill to do many tasks, but Illustrator is my heavy-use tool for 99.9% of everything done for design or illustration. I've seen some of the Generative Fills and work done in Illustrator (and some of the new features coming) and it just feels important to have the option to be able to use it. EVERY time I try it in Illustrator it totally freezes up my computer EVERY time. Again, Photoshop works fine with its AI and my computer is basically 3 years old witch a decent processor and graphics card. I recently lost the ability to drag & drop png or jpg files into Illustrator (v28.3) from Photoshop (25.5.1). I can Place those same files but not drag & drop.  Any suggestions?

Hi there, I see weird lines around white objects that drive me crazy and I am wondering if this is a bug. Is anyone seeing similar things? I am working currently on updating a museum map. Various exhibition rooms have various colors. Walls are compound paths that are filled white. The white compound path sits on top of the filled-in rooms and hallways and stroke setting is transparent/0 width.The original plan is over 10 years old. Just last week, I was working on it and it looked like expected.The map is placed in an Indesign document. Today, I exported a PDF-X4 file for offset printing like I always do. When I checked the PDF, I noticed super thin hairlines around the white compound paths. First, I thouhgt it might be a display error. But when I check the color channels (Acrobat output preview), I can measure them. And when I render the PDF page in Photoshop, it does render these super thin lines.When I zoom in thouh in Acrobat, the lines do not seem to scale. Whatever

I'm using Illustrator 29.0.1. For some time, now, I've been losing pasted clipings in a template layer. I trace pasted artwork into line drawings and find that if I do certain things, the clipped artwork will become transparent. I've unccessfully been trying to find a pattern. I end up having to re-cut the artwork and re-paste it—I can't re-paste the original clipboard. I find it pretty frustrating. I've been using Illustrator since it's inception (decades ago) and think I'm pretty-well versed in using it; but, this one stumps me. Any help?

Hello, we recently came across a funny issue with the feature "Recolor Artwork" in Illustrator for PC.  When ever we want to use the eyedropper tool in the advanced options for each of the colors, it will not work. BUT it will work if I select a color that's behind the popup window?? Not sure how to explain clearly, but please see gifs below.the weird thing: it only lets me eyedrop if the popup window is on top of the thing I want to eyedrop from....(see below) I don't know if I'm using this wrong or not seeing something or if this is just a bug for PC. My colleagues who use Mac computers don't seem to have this issue, but PC users do.

I'm beginning an Illustrator CS4 training book that comes with lessons you install on your desktop. The lessons require you to use their files but you are instructed to choose and "Save As" so you will be able to work on them.Each time I attempt to "Save As" a warning message displays telling me I can't save the illustration because I don't have enough access privileges!!!Does anyone know how I can resolve this issue? After spending a lot of money on the program plus the book I should have all the privileges I want!!

I had a fresh install of Illustrator 29.3.1 on a fresh install of Windows 11 on a new PC. Almost immediately I began having issues when opening files. It doesn't matter where the files are saved- I have issues opening files form a network drive, issues opening local files, and issues when opening an Illustrator Template file.  When this happens, Illustrator will freeze, I will get a spinning cursor, and only task manager will kill it. So, I rolled back to the previous version 29.3. I'm still having the same issues. When I reopen Illustrator from the crash, I find that it will not open to my saved workspace and my custom Actions are deleted.  I can save files just fine, and once things are open, Illustrator works normally.  My PC specs are- HP Z4 Workstation with a Xeon 3.6GHz processorWindows 11 Pro for Workstations128GB RAM1TB SSD and a 3TB SSDNvidia Quadro P2000

Ich verwende Illustrator Version 27.8.1Seit kurzem kann ich Objekte allein durch berühren mit dem Auswahlwerkzeug selektieren. Möglicherweise habe ich irgendeine Tastenkombi gedrückt die mir nicht bewusst war. Ich möchte aber Objekte nur auswählen, wenn ich direkt darauf klicke und/oder ich sie mit der Auswahl vollständig umschließe.Ich habe mir diverse Infos angeschaut und auch die Voreinstellungen in Illustrator selbst durchforstet ohne fündig zu werden wie ich das einstellen kann.Hat jemand die rettende Idee wie ich das wieder rückgängig machen kann🤔 🤔

Hello,  Im having some error with one of mine typos (Roboto), there's some predetermined text and when i try to type a new one keep texting the same, It's only happening with regular weight:   If you can see the other typefaces have the right text box on right side.. only Roboto/regular is giving me this error.. How can i fix it? 

This is a recent issue I've found with Illustrator 29.3.1 on Mac Sequoia 15.3.1 with M1 chip. I have previously had no problems opening an SVG, doing a slight edit, then saving that SVG (command + S). Now I do that, but when I try to open the SVG again in Illustrator I get the errors "This SVG is Invalid. Validate it before opening.", then "The operation cannot complete because of an unknown error.    [STEX]". The SVG seems to be corrupted. I can't just export as SVG because Illustrator doesn't seem to preserve the opacity settings on my objects when exporting to SVG, and then if I try to update those in Illustrator then I run into the above issue again! I have made sure my Illustrator is up to date - it is frustrating because I have done this before on a previous Illustrator release without issue.

The "Apply to All" checkbox is missing.  This is a huge problem when relinking multiple images (sometimes hundreds in my case) automatically for imposition for large format printing.  This issue came up last year and it looks like it has reappeared with this latest version of Adobe Illustrator v28.5, released 4 days ago.  Adobe - please fix this bug as soon as you can.  All my templates are affected by this and instead of one global replacement, I now much click for every linked instance.  Not much of a problem when there's only one or two relinking clicks required, but when I need to click "Replace" over 100 times, this is a time killer.  Please see if you can fix this bug.  Thanks.

Hola, mi ventana de propiedades no aparece en ningún lado, reseteé la ventana a lo clásico y no aparece, intento agregarla manualmente desde ventana pero no genera el check y tampoco aparece, es un botón inútil. Couldn't find an answer to this, as my settings are already set to whatever answers were suggested in other posts.I'll describe in photos:Trying to align the anchor point point of the middle red object with the light blue in the back:Tapping the up arrow a single time to nodge it up, but its giving me this:My setting are as followd: (all snapping is turned off) And also this icon in the top bar is not activated: For some reason the left object did agree to align exactly with the blue.

I've tried uninstalling, making sure the apps are up to date. I've tried copy and pasting in but nothing will work. This has been working fine up until recently and nothing seems to fix it. When I drag in a layer I get the usual green button with a plus sign but nothing shows up. Please can you help? This is really slowing everything down as I work on very quick concepts and dont have time to keep saving down files and re-opening in illustrator.

I've always been able to drag images into Illustrator (I'm using a Mac) and they would open on the default artboard size (I have it set to 8.5 x 11). But recently, any image I drag into Illustrator makes the artboard resize itself to the size of the image, making me manually have to change the artboard each time or copy and paste the image into an entirely new file. Is there a way to fix this? New documents are sized fine - the issue is only with images dragged and dropped. Thank you!

Honestly, at this point I am just convinced that Adobe is no longer interested in producing software that works properly. I am unable to determine what the cause is, though I think it may be something to do with having multiple artboards. Yes, GPU performance is enabled. Disabling Animated Zoom sometimes helps, but not always. I'm not even doing anything intensive.  It's insane really, as I can build very complex scenes inside 3D software, run the most demanding games at 144 FPS, but I can't have a smooth time in Adobe's software? It's an endless headache. I've also experienced the same issues on a fully spec'd MacBook M3 Max Pro. All I can determine is that it isn't a hardware issue, it's a software issue, and judging by the time it takes Adobe to turnaround essential bug fixes and the fact that I've been experiencing this for 10 years now, it is never going to be resolved.  Tbh think I'm about to make the switch to an alternative. it says i need mac ventura v13, and i have v13.1, what do i do?

Why does Export For Screens use the last set prefix – is there a way to have it automatically use the file name as a prefix? For some illogical reason, illustrator populates the prefix field with the last used data, which is 99.999% of the time useless to me. I've been poking around and can't find any reference to this daily pain point. This would save me time, precious brain cells, and a modicum of frustration everytime I need to export a new batch of assets from a file.

Hi Everyone, We are running into a strange issue where Illustrator 28.7.2 is crashing at random and I'm having a heck of a time trying to narrow it down. Does Illustrator store crash logs anywhere at all? It isn't logging anything into the event viewer in Windows so trying to narrow down what the issue is has been challenging to say the least.
