I guess I started this project in ai 2024 and when I open it in 2025 some of the fonts go all whack:If I click on the type I get the "this was created in an older version of illustrator" warning which is how I realized it was a version problem.  It looks correct in 2024 and does the conversion immediately upon opening, and not when I attempt to edit.  I'm not ever sure of the language to report this as a bug.

Hello,I'm having an issue with moving objects in Adobe Illustrator. Every time I go to grab and move any item, whether it be a shape, text, image, etc., there is a delay and a "Converting dragged items to EPS format" dialog box pops up briefly before I can move the object I am trying to move. See the attached images for a couple examples. I am running Illustrator v 27.9 up to date, and recently updated to MacOS Sonoma 14.0 on my machine (issues started subsequently after this OS upgrade). For comparison, these same issues are not occuring in Photoshop or InDesign, where moving objects occurs as normal without delay. Thank you in advance for any suggestions or solutions! 

Hi Forum, A client has requested something which I have no idea how to achieve, so I'm looking for some help.  So far I have tried patterns and creative a mask. I would just try and draw through the centre shape, however the client requires exactly 31 boxes to represent days of the month (obviously this is variable to the month so going for an even number an blocking it out would be much easier.) How can I guarantee an equal path throughout the letter? - I will need to do this for other letters too, so I'm hoping to find a simple and transferable solution. Thanks in advance!

Odd ball question here. First a little background.  I build scale models as a hobby and use and old ALPS MD-1000 to create custom water slide decalse. ALPS are ideal because they use wax instead of ink to generate the images and not susptible to water damage. Plus they can print white!  ALPS printers are vinatge and requier an old Windows XP machine. For years my workflow has been to create the art on my iMac with CC then save it back to CS3 to print using my old PC.  I never had an issue until earlier this week, when I updated to 2025 . I now received the error, "Not enough memory to open the illustration" on the PC. I have tried:• Restarting both machines - Recieve memory error• Uninstalling Illustrator 2025 - Recieve memory error• Reistalling Illustrator 2024 - Recieve memory error•Saving back to CS2 - Recieve memory error•Trashing preferences on both machines - Recieve memory error• Saving as an .eps - Opens flat • Saving as a .pdf - Ope

Hola,  alguién sabe cómo puedo hacer para istalar el ilustrator en una iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2013) con Catalina? Compré el servicio de Creative Cluod y no puedo instalar el illustrator en mi equipo, necesito conseguir una versión 2018 de ilustrator y ya no está disponible en la plataforma.

I created a logo in illustrator 24, now I want to modify it in illustrator 25 it doesn't find the font and the design looks completely different. What can I do? Should I open it back in version 24?

Hi,We have a problem with a certain file. After first auto activation of a font, the hyphen character is replaced by a "N". When we then close the file, not Illustrator, so fonts stay active and simply reopen the file, the hyphen is displayed correctly.We use Connect Fonts for fontmanagement, but apparently the problem is on the Adobe side (according to Extensis)How can we prevent this? Kind regards,Brecht

Hi there Anyone having an idea whx i can suddenly not move my elements smoothly around in AI?It started suddenly and i restarted all and everything to chekc if there is any other issue. Is there anywhere a align to grid or anything like align to pixels or so i overlook? I cannot find the issue and i work in a print based file not web based.I had many other issues with Adobe updates to 2021 and just realized that Adobe did the upgrade on my AI without asking me again. Can some one tell me how to change all colors in Illustrator to another color all at once.I used to work in Freehand and you could select all, them go to a panel and have it changeall of one color to another in a layout.Exp. You could change pms 356 to pms 410 without selecting each individually.I can't find this feature in Illustrator CS4Any help appreciatedHJMann42

In the most recent update of Illustrator (29.2.1) illustrator is not performing actions properly and/or crashing during this process when running the 'do script' command. Is this a known issue?If so is there a plan to resolve it?

I'm having an issue that only seems to have begun recently. Previously, when I scaled a line path, the bounding box for the path would be set according to the anchor points on the line - in other words, if I have a diagonal straight line with two anchor points, the bounding box would have the two anchor points as the two opposite corners in a rectangle. Now, however, it seems that the bounding box is set to conform to the overall shape of the path. In other words, if you change the stroke thickness of the path, the bounding box also changes size. You can see this in the picture I've attached - the blue shows the current bounding box, and red shows what the bounding box should've been set to and what it would have been in the previous settings. The new setting is not great for my uses as I have a lot of line drawings where lines are meant to connect at the anchor points, not at the visual boundaries of the path itself. I have recently updated Illustrator to 2025 as have all of the designers at my work.We use a Graphtec Plotter and the Cutting Master plugin will not install into the updated AI 2025.Has anyone figured how to do this, it has been fine with AI 2024. Do I have to un-install 2024 before continuing?

In Illustrator have 13 artboards that at 100% zoom level appear to be my desired size (9.4 by 4.7 inches). When I hold my ruler up to my monitor (WQHD), it's the exact size I want. I want to export for screens, but I cannot get any exported version to appear on my screen again in any other place (Photoshop, Portfolio, default Windows photos app) as 9.4x4.7 inches. They all report the same pixel dimension (677x339) and roughly the same smaller appearance. Even when I export a simple rectangle at my desired size, it still appears smaller everytime. I initially had my document set up in inches, and then switched it to pixels after my artwork and artboards were on some janky half-pixel sizes. When I export, I use the export-for-screen option. I'm aware that typical screen resolution is 72ppi. When I switched my doc setup from inches to pixels, I made sure that I was using whole pixel values, and that my document was indeed 677x339 pixels. I multiplied my desired file size in inches by

Hi,I’m encountering a persistent issue with Adobe Illustrator on my MacBook running macOS Sonoma 14.4.1 and Illustrator version 29.2.1.When I launch Illustrator, I receive an error message stating that I’ve reached the activation limit for devices. However, when I check the list of activated devices in my Adobe account, I only see my MacBook listed, but it appears duplicated 11 times.Here’s what I’ve tried so far:Confirmed that I have only one device activated.Restarted my MacBook.Updated Illustrator to the latest version.Signed out and signed back into Adobe Creative Cloud.Despite these steps, the problem persists. Hi,I have downloaded a corrupted .ai file from Adobe Stock "AdobeStock_136174951". It´s a name card. Illustrator gives me the attached error message "Illustrator could partially open this file" and then it opens an empty artboard.How do I go about getting my credit back?Why do you not have a way of reporting this? There are only two options to report a file on Adobe Stock:"You may report the following issues:Content contains the names of people (including artists' names)Content may infringe on IP rights (such as copyright, design, or trademark rights, model or property rights)" How useless is this?Kind RegardsMarton   

Bonjour à tous, J'ai un problème d'affichage sur Illustrator 2021 : Quand je déplace un objet (une forme) le contour de selection disparait pendant le déplacement. Il s'affiche de nouveau une fois le déplacement effectué. Ce qui est problematique lors de certaines actions comme le calage d'un objet par desssus un autre par exemple.la seule solution pour garder l'affichage du contour pendant le déplacement est de basculer en Command/Ybref pas très ergonomique..J'ai peut- être fait une mauvaise manip lors d'un raccourci clavier, et je n'ai pas trouvé l'option qui permette de rétablir cette fonction.. Si vous avez la réponse, merci d'avance. 

I can't find a way to select same fill or same stroke, on Illustrator for iPad. Please advise.

I am having a very strange experience in creating artwork in Adobe Illustrator. I have some older files, specifically for one client, and noticed the colors were duller than when created. I wrote it off as me creating the files incorrectly many years ago. However, I recently updated to Creative Cloud and designed a new project from scratch for a new client with new colors. When I went back to that file today to expand on the project I noticed the colors were duller than previously. I compared some of the color values to the original artwork and noticed that they had been changed slightly (ie: RGB 67 > 67, 187 > 168, 219 > 200; 241>222, 172>153, 27>27; etc).The files are, and always have been, RGB. It would appear as if my colors are being changed from the time I save and close, to the time I re-open. Any ideas?

I'm trying to get the template for Visual Studio to work from the Illustrator 2025 SDK. I've followed the directions in the getting started and the Readme.txt placed all the files from the Template folder in samplecode as they have shown in the Visual Studio directory and I can see the SDK Project in the wizard but when I create it I get  "project creation failed" am I missing something does anyone have this working? I'm using Visual Studio 2022 Community.

So it looks like Illustrator 2025 has changed the zoom keyboard shortcut from Command/Space Bar to simply the Z key. Why do they do this?
