HiI'm planning on buying a refurbished macbook pro 2023 M2 for the sole purpose of using adobe illustrator and photoshop. I want to use it for design projects. Will the latest version of illustrator and photoshop work on this model, and if not what should I buy instead? Thanks

Is it possible to change the location of where illustrator looks for scripts, or is it possible to add a location?

How can I select shapes with the same color but only within my current selection? No matter what I try it wants to select every shape in the doc

Hi,  Is there a way to add an illustrator file with layers into another illusrator file without losing the layers of the first file?  I figured this could be done by 'file < place' but this will put everything in one layer.  Is there another way to place this without losing the layers? (copy paste from one file to another is not an option) Thanks in advance! 

Hi all,I was wondering if someone could please help me and see if this is possible.  I have limited knowledge of scripts and need some help.  I have to export several Ai files to pdf daily at my work, and save as a "LowRes" Adobe PDF preset, and add "_LowRes" to the pdf name. Then export again with "HiRes" Adobe PDF preset (mostly adding trim marks/bleed), and add "_HiRes" to the pdf name. Right now, its all manual work to do that for each AI files. Is it possible with a script to do this: 1. Select a folder/ grab XX of these AI files. 2. Export 2 versions of each file A. With “XX” PDF preset settings and add “_LowRes” to file nameB. With “XX” PDF preset settings and add “_HiRes” to file name  Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks in advance!

Hi Adobe,I have been working on my, well, technically it's my third logo treatment, but this one is rather curvy and involved.I swear every time I click the bezier node, I have to click 3 or 4 more times to get the bezier to work because I keep clicking the whole letter/object, have to re-position, and then click it again - over and over and over. As clunky as Photoshop is, I've never pulled my hair out in the twenty years using it's bezier tool as I have the past number of weeks I have with this one. And guess what...Illustrator is a vector program. It happens to use the bezier...a lot. ...I could scream.You would think bezier would be a focal point of customization. Just like Photoshop has brush size. For all the witty tutorials on LinkedIn and Youtube....For all the "wow, how cool." (cuz it truly is). Continue working on your projects while Illustrator works on saving/exporting your document in the background. You are informed when the processes are complete. Is there a way to draw enclosed shapes with the Blob Brush and then select a color (from Swatches) to "fill" in the shape? I hope there is. 

All of a sudden, while I was working, the anchor points with the "direct selection" tool stopped being visible. They are not visible when selecting the object, selecting a single anchor point, selecting multiple anchor points, selecting multiple anchor points with an area selection, or selecting the path.Thinking it might be an issue with the version I was using, I installed the latest version, but the problem reappeared. I then installed version 29.0, but the issue persists.How can I fix this? It’s impossible to work in such conditions, and it’s unacceptable for bugs like this to occur.

On a regular basis I print multiple signs of different shapes and sizes on large 4'x9' sheets. All art needs to be at least .25" apart. I manually arrange the signs to best fit the sheet. Trying to figure out if there is a function that will automatically arrange all objects to a set artboard size. So far I haven't found anything other than the align functions. Attaching an example.

First post here, sorry for the lack of detail in the title.  I'm working on a project in Illustrator and everything was working normally before, but after about 3 minutes of working without the internet, Illustrator started acting up and I'm not sure how to fix it. Normally, when I'm trying to move a shape or object, it moves that shape or object; now, Illustrator is instead moving the outline of that shape/object while leaving the shape/object in its original location. Once I release the button, it moves the shape/object to wherever the outline is, but because of the way I'm trying to build the image, I need to see the object itself is aligning the way I want it to. When I go with the outline, it often has a slight skew to it when it's placed so it's inhibiting more than assisting right now. Does anyone know how to fix this? The image provided shows the object and what it looks like when I try to move it.

Hi, how do I install Adobe Illustrator onto my magic drawing pad?Is it possible? From what I understand the software doesn't want to download due to incompatibility😕😕

When the app closes, I look for the documents in the recovery folder but they don't appear. No files open.Before, the app did this function automatically and opened the closed files, but it no longer does so. Cuando la app se me cierra, yo busco los documentos en la carpeta de recuperacion pero no me aparecen. ningun archivo abre.Antes esta funcion la app la hacia automaticamente y me abria los files cerrados, pero ya no lo hace.

hello everyone, macbook pro 13 inch 2019macos big on 11.0.1 I have a problem since yesterday trying to save my .ai file as .eps.When I try to save everything goes fine until I confirm the task. then the save time is infinite. I even tried leaving the dialog box open the whole time I was on the computer but nothing helps. either it doesn't save or illustrator crashes and closes unexpectedly. my project is a simple project, no photos, helvetica typography and no gradients which are not supported by eps version cs6. so conflict wise i'm not sure that's what it is.  I have done other projects in the meantime and strangely enough I have had no problem saving them in ai. I would be very grateful if someone could help me if this has already happened to him.thank you very much. 

I having issues with Illustrator bringing up a few errors on lodaup including Tried following advice from https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/plugin-missing-issue.html?trackingid=TG8SLGS2&mv=in-product&mv2=ai but didnt reolve the issue and using the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool but no resolution in the problem. Any help appreciated. Thanks 

please help me, I don't know how to fixed the problems with Illustrator. Since I bought an official version, my files often get crashed, with no reason. And now I have some terribly crushed files, I even can't open them. I already tried all steps, that I found on Adobe web site. What could I do to fixed my crashed files and how to stope it?

My friend made a CMYK document, its colour profile is the same as mine (u.s web coated swop v2)she makes a colour with hexcode 8FA177 and then she sends me the ai file and I open it in my pc with the same document settings, but then the hexcode changes to 8ea177 There are five colours, out of which 3 have this issue.  Is anyone else facing this? and is there a fix? How can one know which is the correct hex code 

I keep seeing this type of cross-section drawing of soil where the hatch or fill slowly diminishes in density. It looks like the blend tool but not exactly. Was wondering if anyone knew a script, plugin, or something that does this gradient like this.

Hi All, I used to be able to recolour an illustration by choosing recolor artwork and then choosing the Pantone coated colour book. Now that we have to use Pantone connect does anyone know how to recolor artwork for Pantone coated using Pantone connect without having to go through each piece of my illustration and find closest Pantone? Many thanks

Hi. We've upgraded to Illustrator CC recently and when trying to re-save an .eps file to our server we get the following message: "Can't save the illustration. You do not have enough access privileges. ID: -5000." This occurs even though my administartor has granted me full access and privileges, and only happens to Illustrator EPS files. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Please read this. My big question = Is this normal, No? How to fix it?So this has been going on for about some months now but it kept coming back.Everytime I use brush or sometimes even another tool there comes a pop-up with: "Adobe Illustrator 2025 wants to record screen and audio" and even when I click 'decline' it still will record which im seeing right above my screen in the corner... i'm just so scared theres something wrong? Hi Everybody,I have a big problem.. I work in illustrator with png / clipart images ... Since a couple of days my "elements" keep disappearing I can only see the bounding box or jagged lines. I did an update.. open a new file.. nogthing helps.Can someone help, please? I am losing it.

Hello, Ive been using live paint in my editorial illustrations, Ive just had an eps preview of a mag cover sent back to me to check all is ok.The background colour is much lighter than the objects in front. Where the elements meet in live paint there is a faint colour line of the lighter background showing through tiny gaps around all the objects that make up that live paint group. When I export to Photoshop a jpeg it shows this line work around all the objects involved in the live paint group.This is obviously going to show up when its printed. I'm so reliant on live paint, this happens if the live paint has been expanded or left in place. If I move the colour around and get the colour blocks to overlap it doesn't happen, there is no gap of colour showing though. So frustrating, You would think a design tool like illustratorwould be able to do a basic function of making sure the colour is where its needed to be and not add in white lines and gaps.
