Hi all,I'm struggling with making a figure on illustrator. I have the original files on ppts and I need to copy and paste them in Ai. When I do it, all the text become special characteres. I tried to change my font to Arial before copying but it doens't work.

So, I have a strange problem and think I've tried anything possible but it still occurs:I have a RGB document using only RGB colors. Everything is fine EXCEPT for when I try to export a RGB JPG. It completely changes they values of the color. It should be 130|40|130 and when I open an exported JPG in Photoshop and use the eyedropper tool it measures 146|67|146.I've tried all three modes of exporting the image, with/without ICC profile. Color Management is turned off for this document (Edit > Assign Profile), and my color settings are attatched. Anyone have an idea what might be going on?Thanks!

Due to a few limitations in JSX, the only way i have been able to get illustrator to automate certain things is by running actions thru my JSX script. But I've noticed i have not been able to run them in the new version of Illustrator. Here is the code I have been using to run the macros, please advise what i need to change to get this working again:var myActionFile = File("**File Path to my .aia actions**");app.loadAction(myActionFile);app.doScript("**Name of action within folder i want to run**", "**Name of action folder here**"); This has worked for months now running the same action automatically thru my script but now it doesn't on my update workstation (it still works just fine on my other PC with the older version of Illustrator installed). Thanks for reading -Isaiah

I need some one to make Logo from uploaded photo 

What would be the easiest way without a third party, paid plugin to randomly change the font size of whole words in illustrator without having to manually select each word and change the size one by one.  Something like below.   

Please - this is happening so many times with  Illustrator 29.3.1 with Mac Mini Pro M2 Chip OS Sequioa 15.3.2 and 32 GB memory. Does any wise person out there know the solution.  

Hello i got a pdf of a map in which all layers (streets, rivers etc) are nicely organzised in layers. I need the map in different colors and sizes and it would be nice if i simply could import it in illustrator an work on it. When i open it in illustrator, all layers ar in a mess. And although i can deselct and not view certain layers, in illustrator all are displayed again. Plus: the lines (streets for example) are not lines anymore but objects... any tipps?!

I recently created an infographic-adjacent Team Guide in Adobe Illustrator (most current version) that I then exported as a PDF. While the external links all function beautifully, there are three jump-links that are designed to take the user to a specific spot on the scroll-down asset. These work beautifully on my end and in some contexts, but not in a number of browsers and other contexts. Is this normal, or is there a workaround for it? They will be broadlky distributed, so we have no control over platforms, Acrobat or Reader versions, etc. LMK- thanks!

When I click command+mouse scroll the direction sideways is opposite of any other adobe program. Illustrator scrolls left while photoshop and in design scroll right. This has been a real issue when using them interchangably. A universal direction change will not fix the issue as it will just make the other programs flip as well. I have tried flipping universally and it didn't work.  I'm working on a mac.

Hey together! I got a problem. Is it possible to save patterns (created in Illustrator) to my Creative Cloud Library? Everytime i try to save it like a color, the + Symbol greys out. Please help me. Kind regardsLeon

Novice user here. In all Adobe programs (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) I am getting the same problem when trying to create a gradient. I want to go from dark purple to solid black. The issue is that any gradient to black goes through a light grey color first. Is there  a way to avoid this? To make the purple progressively darker until it becomes black? 

This happens to me every single day. Illustrator randomly adds a "mystery object" which looks like an empty bounding box to my selection. I can't deselect it. In my layers panel it shows nothing as being selected. Normally I just select all, then deselect to make it go away, but this time it's not working. This makes accurate scaling of my real objects impossible because the selection will include this mystery object. I've combed the forums and found dozens of people with this exact problem, but none of the suggestions on those threads are working. I've read things about it being related to clipping masks or artboards, but this happens to me even when I'm only using one artboard and no clipping masks. Does adobe have any sort of explanation as to why this is happening?      {Renamed by MOD}

Hello, I have been having issues with Illustrator crashing when I open it. I get nowhere in the app before it creates an error report. I have reset preferences in the app, uninstalled and reinstalled the latest 2025 version, and updated my NVIDIA graphics card to the latest version. Nothing seems to be fixing the issue. I have plenty of space on my C drive too.    Any advice would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you! I have shared the error code from the crash below.   The error code is: Crash report 

Hi, a new total random problem arose, from night to day without me messing up with preferences illustrator sign me out (asking me to save the changes) after i do a number of actions. In this specific case I am applying a shadow with a blur effect, at the moment of acepting the changes and applying it,  the singout widow appear and force me to close the app. Any help is appriciated.cheers and thanks

Hey guys, I recently updated my mac's software for macOS High Sierra version (10.13.1) and after that, when I open illustrator documents (created with mac OS X El Capitan) i get this message:"The embedded color profile in this document will be discarded, because your color settings are configured for adobe illustrator 6.0 compatible color management.Embedded: U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2"What can I do to fix this? Hi all, I know there a lots of questions like this out here but I still haven't figured out on how to make Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop work on a Macbook with the M1 Chip.  Indesign and Lightroom both works fine for me, but Illustrator and Photoshop won't even launch. I tried uninstalling and installing the apps new, I am on the latest apple update (Big Sur 11.2.3), restarted computer etc. but the two apps still won't launch. Any idea what else I can try?

Illustrator still crashes when I drag a swatch to the Swatched palette. I can see the slider on the shape I want to fill, I want to squash the gradient circle into an elipse, but as soon as I move the pointer the circle disppears. I can't manipulate the gradient in any way because the necessary handles and circle thinggy disappear. How do I keep that circle there, so I can pull on the handle at the top? See my video.  

Has anyone had this happen? I'm creating a super simple animated gif. I created my art in AI, each artboard is a duplicate of the previous artboard. All art is visbibe on my artboards. No layers. No art has any effects (opacity, multiply)- when it exports, AI is failing to export all of the artwork on the artboard. Anyone know what might be up?

Hi,This continues to happen.  Illustartor does not update. Creative cloud says UP to DateMy version is 29.1.  current version 29.3. i always have to uninstall and reinstall in order to be current.When i see their are updates i post here but still is not resoved.Other creative apps are always current.  It is only Illustator that has this problem .No one has had this issue? Thanks Mike
