Illustrator v 29.2. When using the direct selection tool, if I hold down the option and shift key to select other objects I get pink lines popping up all over the screen showing the distance between neighbouring objects. I find them a distraction only and of little value, how do I swith them off?

Hi everyone, hopefully a simple question today,I have a document with multiple artboards, I'd like to stick them together into one long artboard.To put it another way, is there a simple way to stick two A4 artboards together into one A3 artboard?Each artboard has a massive number of elements on it.Thanks in advance everyone!

Intel Arc B580 graphics card unable to enable the GPU function of Adobe Illustrator?

I have just updated illustrator to the latest version and my Properties panel has disappeared and when I do - Window > Properties, nothing happens. Anybody had this same issue? If so, how have you ressolved it?

Hi,I have a set of swatches that I use in my illustrations in Illustrator. Now I'm experiencing an issue where all swatches seem to be applied with a degree of transparency. All palettes look correct, showing 100%. No layer mode is activated. What could have happened here? I have also tried toggling "Knockout Group" on and off.I hope someone has a good suggestion for this! 

I'm saving all my graphics in PNG and it's transparent but when Uploaded on the web it shows a white or greyish background of the artboard, I can't figure out why.

I have been trying to open illustrator 2021, with my Mac OS(Big Sur).It freezes with this screen and wont open the start page.I uninstolled illustrator once and instrolled again, but it didnt help.

I am working in illustrator 29.3 when it suddenly stops allowing me to select any elements and presents the 'hand' icon which grabs and moves entire image around artboard. I have had to shutdown and restart my mac a number of times to get back into edit mode - I'm hoping someone might have a fix - very frustrating

Each time I use the eyedropper tool to copy a gradient, say from one circle to another, it works however it doesn't copy the gradient's position/scale/etc - instead it makes all the colors fit into the shape - how do I copy the entirety of the gradient?

Hello, I have created several documents in illustrator, with several art boards and several different items on each art board.When I export these as a PDF to be able to send across on email or to print out, some of the artwork from each art board is missing. Yet when I open the AI document in illustrator, all of the elements are there.I've never experienced this before where exporting as PDF from illustrator.I am using illustrator 2020 & the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks.

After updating to 29.2.1 it's super fast to export to jpeg, but now it exports my patterns with lines and spaces (patterns seams amd sometimes random lines) that weren't there before. I think the update broke something 😞 Pictures show same .ai file exported to jpg before and after 29.2.1. (same settings) Same pattern, different colors - different lines appeared  If I export to png is fine, but I'd like to be able to export directly to jpeg without any problems like I used to (it needs to be jpeg - I deal with customers that are not very "technology friendly"). Is anyone having the same problem? I've searched everywhere and I couldn't find anything about it - just stuff about the anti-aliasing being a problem after the update, which is under investigation. Thank you

Hey, for the past few days Illustrator has been working terribly slowly, it takes a long time to open, I have to wait for the "hand" to appear to move the document, etc. Copying files to PS also takes longer :-{

If I have a shape similar to this but more intricate, can illustrtaor create a trap by spliting the distance on the Black area?Thank you

I am trying to accomplish something that looks like the following in Illustrator. What is the best way to go about doing that?

I have been having issues with Illustrator. When I open it it says I have plug-in errors. Following the link the error message gives me, one of the recommendations is to boot Illustrator in Safe mode. But I can find no way to force it to do that. It says I should follow the prompts when opening but I'm not getting any prompts on the opening screen and I can't find anywhere to do it manually. The I.T. person at my office is also having trouble. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am working with a provided .psd file from a client to use as a background in signage design, as seen in the first image below. The document is in cmyk. We create our signage in illustrator, so I pull the .psd into illustrator and design from there. There are slight color changes from photoshop to illustrator, but nothing to bat an eye at. However, whenever I finish my designs in illustrator and export the document as a .pdf file, if the file is viewed or opened in ANY software that is not Adobe software, it looks like the second image below. Display is not the only issue, because in print we inconsistently get variations of this saturated color. I want to know how I can prevent these inconsistencies and get these cmyk color profiles in illustrator to accurately translate in print, and I don't know why they wouldn't be in the first place. Hello All! Fairly new to scripting and I've run into a problem. I'm basically trying to make a floating window that doesn't interfere with a user. I have a pretty intensive Modular setup (I think its intensive at least lol). Maybe thats the root cause. I've done some resarch into it but a lot of the posts i see are from like 2012 so im not sure if those are relevant still or not.  Some talked about BridgeTalk -(Not sure what that is exactly. Might need to do more home work on that.) Right now I've tried basically a dialog window with uniquie properties. about 7 versions and the closest i got was being able to intereact with other windows in illustrator but notthing in the actual document. Like I could click on the tools in on left side, interact with the swatch panel, but nothing in the artboard would register until I closed my my UI. Ive tried a Palette window but so far any time i try a palette window. It just closes immediately but I feel like Palette is pro

Hi,I have a collection of items in Illustrator which are a short text surrounded by a color circle. The circle is created via an outline shape in the appearance panel, see below. I have been trying to write a script that can change the fill color but can't seem to access that property. I retrieve the object, a TextFrame, and can access the text color via obj.textRange.fillColor, but can't seem to find how to change the fill color. The documentation didn't seem to provide any methods to access the appearance properties either. I found an old message recommending the OnegaiSDK plug-in to access these, but it doesn't seem to function with CC 2025 anymore (hasn't been maintained since 2019 apparently). Thanks for any ideas!

When I try to generate anything with the generate vector feature, I get the pictured error. I dont have any updates available, and I've tried signing out and signing back in to creative cloud. is anyone else having this issue or know how to fix it?

I am placing a gradient on top of a image (not masking it). And gradient style is like opacity gradient, one colour opacity is 0 and other colour is 100. Also I have kept the transperency to normal. The main problem is when I do the same thing on my 2020 illustrator it is working properly but, when I am doing the same thing in 2024 illustrator it is not working.  The first picture is the 2020 Illustrator and the second is 2024 illustrator. Please anybody help me
