Questions

I hold alt while using the blob tool to zoom in and out with the scroll wheel, but when I do it causes problems. While using the Blob tool, Is there a way to disable/change what holding alt does? the new versions of illustrator have a really annoying smoothing pop-up that goes directly in the center of my screen where i accidentally click it all the time, and i cant use the blob tool again until i close the file and reopen it. 

After days of research, testing, and deep diving around scripting many different things for Illustrator,  I think I'm hooked!  it is not easy to code and I have to ask for help here but man, it's so powerful when incorporated into a workflow! Thanks to the generosity and free-to-use mindset of many devs, I could find resources and packs of scripts directly from the coders themselves or awesome community posts here. What would be the amount of interest to build a platform with a centralized list of scripts for Illustrator? Besides some websites, which are often very old, I couldn’t find any kind of hub for scripting resources and lists I'm thinking of going basic at first and just opening up a Google Drive with all  The Script I've gathered for now. Also if people are into that I would love to collaborate and make this list grow if there are people willing to share resources and maybe do some kind of how-to and wiki basics. Hi, I hope someone can explain why this is happening?When I export using the "export selection" option it adds a random line inside the D letter. Does anyone know why this happens? First pic is how it looks in Illustrator, second pic is how it looks after being exported and added to a file (I'm adding it to a Figma file)

Hey everyone! Does anyone know how i can make a drawing with this style?I am trying to create a drawing for this animal  Using this style :  Can this be done in Illustrator? I am opening multiple EPS files, editing them and saving them but instead of just saving the file Adobe Illustrator keeps asking to save them as ai and I have to select eps from the drop menu to save it normally.It happens when I do this manually or with batch action, I can't open eps edit and save as eps, it keeps putting ai file as the main option.How to remove ai and have eps as default?

In this video Expand & Uncheck Stroke is adding 3 more layers in layer panel & make all 5 layers as a group. Also added 3 more new layers represent strokes as well. But why stroke is unchecked in the expand window? I have been trying to edit some photos/illustrations/videos and the colors are pretty different than actual one. The display color is dull, washed and some times "faded" or too low in intensity. But when I export, it shows the real color.Working in two screens, not a monitor color issue. Tried both, no difference. Working with RGB color profile, drivers up-to-date. Windows up-to-date & AI as well. I'm not sure how long this have been happening to me, but it's truly annoying. Any solution? I am using a Windows PC.Intel I9 13900k64 GB RAMNVidia RTX 4070 TII attached the difference how it looks in Illustrator vs how it looks after export. This is not happening just in Illustrator. 

Hope I can explain this well. I use Illustrator to makes designs for my lasercutter. The lasercutter software can read Ai8 files. So I make my design, save as an Ai8 file and everything worked fine for the last 15 years or so.But now, when I export a file with colored outlines in stead of a fill, the Ai8 files does not contain my original artwork, but all strokes are converted to filled shapes (compound paths). As if I did an 'expand' on my artwork. Obviously I do not want that. BTW this only happens on closed shapes. Lines or paths that are not closed are not affected.See attached file, somehow this forum refuses to accept the original file, but the square should just be a stroked square, not the compound path it is now.Is there a setting somewhere that I can change to revert this behavior? Or is this just a bug?Now that I know what's happening I can continue to do my, work but it already cost me a lot of material...

Whenever I click Shift + F while working on a project in artboard design, it becomes distorted when I exit full-screen mode.

Guys I was trying to apply gaussian blur to an orange circle, but as soon as i applied it from the effects menu, it made that kind of flare effect, I needed it to be smooth but it formed a flare layered effect. Please suggest on how to fix it

Product mockups in Photoshop. I add them shadows. Background is transparent.I place image into Illustrator with some color background. I want the shadow have multiply blending mode, but rest of the product normal blending mode.What trick do you use? In indesign I can duplicate linked object and turn off some layers from Indesign so that I end up with shadow and mockup object itself and add multiply only to the shadow.

I was using Illustrator last night finishing a project and it suddenly crashed. My Goal: I would like to convert my text to outline and save AI file as SVG. I am having a design printed on a T-Shirt and the printing company only accepts PNG, JPG, and SVG uploads.Steps I Have Tried (Independently of one another):Type > Create Outline > Save As SVGObject > Expand > Fill+Object > Save As SVGExport As > SVG [Font > SVG] (Also played around with the decimal settings)Export As > SVG [Font > Convert to Outlines] (Also played around with the decimal settings)Problem:Closing out and opening back up the SVG files distorts the text and causes funky letters as seen in the attached image. I can replicate the problem with any font of any size. This has baffled me for the past 24 hours and I am convinced I am going about this the wrong way. Looking for a bit of wisdom and advice. Hello, Would like to get some input from the experts; Lately whenever I open my existing files that were fine about a week ago, I get error message which says "We found some objects while opening the document. The document has been partially recovered." And when I hit "Okay" to open the file, it says, I can't preview the file, so it opens up as wireframe view! This is really frustrating. Hope someone can please help!Thank You

Running AI 29.1 on macos (Sonoma 14.6.1).  I can take an image and import it into AI without issue (See Original.png)I can rotate the image (See Rotate.png) or Crop the image (See Crop.png) without issue.  The moment I crop and rotate the same image I get some pretty bad artifacts on the image that persist after exporting the image as a png or as a pdf (See Crop and minor rotate.png and Crop and Major Rotate.png) Any way to prevent this issue and or how to fix it would be greatly appreciated. I need to be able to crop and rotate the image so skipping one of these steps is not an option.    Best,

Stroke weight of two images are same. I wish to delete all strokes of second image by using Magic Wand Tool but it did not work. I also tried with having different weight to images but it did not work as well. How to fix it? File attached as well. Illustrator Logo Design Process

I am trying to log into the noun project's plugin inside Adobe Illustrator, but I can't do it because the Captcha is gone. There is just a grey box where the captcha should be, and it tells me I can't log in because I haven't checked the Captcha. P.s this is not just for Illustrator, but also Photoshop, but I posted it here because I couldn't find a Adobe plugin general thread.

I am using Adobe Illustrator Beta.  when i place a psd file and attemp to embed the psd it changes the psd to horizontal lines.  My psd is a RGB file and the illustrator file is RGB also.  The PSD is mostly black and white.  The background is white.  I tried a second psd with color back and more color and that psd was fine with embedding.  I will attach a image of how it looks after I embed.  I reset my illustrator and still having this problem.  Please help. 

I moved all of the panels out of the dock area to reorganize them and now I can't get them to dock back into the right side of the workspace.
