Hello, 1. Can someone enlighten me about the TIFF file? Can I use these kind of file for phone wallpapers? Is this an image or storage type only?  2. Is it really different to have 72ppi image and 300ppi image? If the images would be used as phone wallpapers?  Thanks, Angelica

Hi! I was working on something and it would help me if i could use the align option to align stroke to the inside. But when i opened the Stroke panel the only thing i see ifś Weight option? I dont see any see more options etc. (see the screenshot below)Any ideas? Help?

Has anyone tried using code to create a new PathArt with a freeform gradient artStyle?I recently did this but got an unrendered freeform gradient object, though the gradient color stops are visible.All other paintField properties render correctly except for the freeform gradient.If I move the color stops with the cursor, the object renders properly; otherwise, it just shows up as white.However, if I only modify an existing PathArt that already has a freeform gradient using code, everything works fine and the gradient updates instantly to show the changes.Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Hiworking with the C++-API, it seems to me that the Freeform-Gradient can not be detected.When requesting the Color of a Paint Field, and it is a Gradient which is Linear or Radial, the Color is set to kGradient, and inside the ColorInformation there is the Handle to that Gradient.However, when it is a Freeform Gradient, the Color is set kNoneColor, which makes it impossible to detect the Gradient.Also, the enum for Gradients defined in AIColor.h is only /** Types of gradients, or color blends. Hi there! I noticed today that my eyedropper tool is picking up the colour of the typeface but not the actual typeface or font itself. All boxes are checked under the Eyedropper Options menu. I'm running version 29.0 on a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015) ioS Montery version 12.7.6Thanks!

In Illustratior How can i keep the "show edges" to remain on.  I have to keep pressing command H everytime i draw a new object.  Keeps turning off.  Help

Hello,  Newbie here- Does flattening the PDF ensure the colors/elements won't mix/mess up in printing? Is this enough to ensure about printing exactly what is on the screen? Is flattened PDF good for printing wall art designs? Is printing at 300 dpi resolution enough? I'll test the printing on my own too, just wanted to gether any thoughts and experiences too.

Is there a way to cut a curved segment to a specific length? I mean a segment made with the arc tool. If this curved segment is for example 20cm long and I want to make a cut at 9,85cm on that length, how could I do it? Thank you all.

Hi all - Reposting what another memeber wrote because I'm having the same issue and looks like no one has been able to resolve it -  My hot keys that scale, rotate and move patterns only are not working. Usually if you hit the Tilde symbol with S, R (S~ and R~) and the tilde symbol alone, it scales, rotates and moves the pattern only. Since I've started usuing my new computer the tilde key does not seem to be working to isolate patterns.  My space bar is also not working as the quick hand tool.  Hope someone can please help - I cant figure out why!

Es posbiel agregar un codigo a la libreria de colores pantone? Me refiero a que uno lo haga manualmente que no lo ponga por defecto el codigo el programa de Illustrator Por ejemplo: Se me pide que coloree un cuadrado de color gris, pero tengo que ponerle un color PANTONE con el codigo 45C pero yo al buscarlo en la libreria de colores PANTONE no existe ese codigo, como puedo agregar ese codigo 45C para poder pantonear mi cuadrado segun lo que se me solicita?

I'm trying to create a text box with a script, so that the type area has a max width, and contents will auto line beak to fill the space. The plan is for a storyboard template generating tool, putting textboxes below each frame.This script will create a text object, but setting the width will squsih/stretch the text content to the set width, not create a textbox at that width I can then fill.I'm trying to get this to work like you simply clicked and draged out a type container, giving it a set width. var textFrame = app.activeDocument.textFrames.add(); textFrame.kind = TextType.AREATEXT; // Set the text contents textFrame.contents = "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua."; // Set the maximum width textFrame.width = 200; textFrame.top = -100; textFrame.left = 100; 

When I don't apply blur or drop shadow in Illustrator, the application freezes and hangs a lot.

I usually use layer panel to move the layer front & back in the grphic window, rather than using keyboard shortcuts because it is more clear about the work I do. But if you Cut the red color "S" and Paste in the Front it will move the "S" out of the group. In this case Keyboard Shortcut & Layer Manipulation is not same. I wish to know whether it will affect the forth coming work. Video is attached

Hi, I am running Illustrator 28.72 und 29 on windows 11. Whenever I open a cloud file I immediately get  message "Auto Save disabled, save manually." Every time! Whenever I am trying to save the changes of this document into the Cloud, I click on save and then nothing happens. when I try to save it in the cloud under a different name, as a copy, it won't save. This has been goign on for a week now. No matter what I do it will not save the changes in this cloud file or this document as a copy in the cloud, I can only save it locally.  I reinstalled Illustrator, restarted my computer, I worked from different wifis, both with stable internet connection, I have have a newer and an older version and this keeps happening in both. How do I fix it?

I've noticed a weird issue in the past week that is killing my productivity - I didn't think too much of it until today when I really needed to get a project going. When I copy any amount of text or any layer/group of layers that has a text layer in it - pasting it causes this 2 second delay before I can continue moving or editing the pasted layer. It only happens with text, not with images or shapes. It happens on new documents or large existing documents. Any size or amount of text will produce this delay. It only happens on Illustrator 29.0 and 28.7.2 - it works fine on 28.7.1 and prior as my snippets show (one snippet showing it working on 28.7 and one showing the issue on 29.0). I have the working and non-working illustrator open at the same time on seperate monitors with the exact same Illustrator settings. I have changed GPU performance, clipboard settings, scratch disks, and all the common troubleshooting fixes that could be causing the delay. The fact that it wo

Hoje resolvi atualizar meu Illustrator e baixar o beta, após atualizar meu illustrator e começar a trabalhar,  estou a 7 horas trabalhando nesse projeto, e ele me apareceu 3 vezes salvamento automatico na nuvem, porém por algum motivo o app travou e fechou e ao abrir ele não me deu a versão anterio que tinha feito, só a de dias que tinha feito.Não posso perder esse progreso que fiz no projeto.Já fui nas pastas Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator [versão] Settings\en_US\x64\DataRecovery e de todas a versões estão vazias. ME AJUDE PELO AMOR DE D'US!
